Why are leading consumer products companies and financial sponsors looking at direct selling with heightened interest? DSA’s Annual Meeting 2016 will explore how in the rapidly changing, digitally enabled consumer products markets, our companies and channel are becoming more admired than ever before. The companies that will win are those that can see direct selling through a different lens and REIMAGINE their futures. You owe it to your sales organization and to your company to take part in this rapidly evolving conversation. If you haven’t already, I urge you to register for our Annual Meeting REIMAGINE 2016; be a part of the event that promises to set the stage for the brightest possible future for those who dare to REIMAGINE.

General Session I: Flash Foresight– Seven Radical Principles that Will Transform Your Business Have you ever wished you could predict the future — and be right? What would it be like if you could clearly see critical changes in the months and years ahead, and use those glimpses to shape that future, instead of just letting it unfold by default? These are questions posed by best-selling author and futurist Daniel Burrus, the keynote speaker for DSA’s Annual Meeting REIMAGINE 2016. In Phoenix, Burrus will help us do all this – and more. Burrus is considered one of the world’s leading technology forecasters and innovation experts. The New York Times has referred to him as one of the top three business gurus today. He is the author of six books, including The New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Flash Foresight: How to See the Invisible and Do the Impossible. As we gather to REIMAGINE opportunity for direct selling, Burrus will help us understand how we can not only hone our ability to trigger a burst of accurate insight about the future, but also use it to produce a new and radically different way of doing things. These are what Burrus calls flash foresights, and they are all about envisioning future so that we can take immediate actions that solve “impossible” problems, unearth “invisible” opportunities, and run extraordinarily successful businesses in the 21st century.

General Session II: Reimagining Direct Selling Opportunity as Revealed by Big Data Insights Data gathered through every direct selling interaction – customers, the field, product development, sales – is pure gold. Yet, only a small percentage has been analyzed. In this era of big data, it is imperative that companies mine insights from the data they collect, and harness this information to improve operations, increase retention, increase sales and shape strategic decisions. DSEF has brought private sector big data leaders including EMC and Salesforce together with leading business academics to demonstrate how big data can reveal trends in customer and salesforce behavior and drive competitive advantage in direct selling. Think like a data scientist. Create a better end-user experience. Uncover how big data can sharpen direct selling strategies. And learn how universities are envisioning the future of data analytics and customer relationship management. PANEL:  William (Bill) Schmarzo, Chief Technology Officer, Enterprise Information Management & Analytics (EMC), known as the “Dean of Big Data”  Elizabeth Davis, PhD, Dean and Professor of Management, School of Management, University of San Francisco  Frank Perkins, Regional Vice President of Global Business Development – Run Rate Revenue, Salesforce MODERATOR:  John Parker, Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, Amway, and Chairman, Direct Selling Education Foundation

International media organization Bloomberg Government will take you into the mind of independent workers, discussing the results of original research that will provide insights and information useful to our community.
