After the ceremony, stick around for a dance party with DJ RanKan. DJ RanKan, also known as Ryan Kanowski, hails from the small city of Buffalo in upstate New York. He was eventually hired by Kiss 98.5 as their youngest DJ ever, but he wouldn’t stop there. In the following years, using his passion for both business and music and the idea that they could complement each other perfectly, DJ RanKan created and built his niche brand as the “World’s Corporate DJ.” He has grown a following for his positive messaging and soul-energizing music mixes.

Exactly What to Say: Lead, Motivate and Inspire Others Using Critical Conversations

Quite often, the difference between success and failure in business can be pinpointed to the compounded impact of your conversations. Words matter and understanding how you can use language to control a conversation is certain to provide you a fair advantage in your challenging marketplace.

Whether you are looking to lead your team, are in a sales conversation with a client, or negotiating with a supplier–knowing the right things to say, in the right way and at the right time is certain to have instant positive outcome on your results.

This thought-provoking session will have you enthralled from the very start as you discover the power that language has over the subconscious brain, gain practical examples that you can apply instantly and learn how the “Magic Words” from Phil’s best-selling book are applied to your specific business-critical situations.

Listen as this remarkable adventurer, mountaineer, and business leader shares insights that will empower you to look ahead and scale whatever big peaks you aspire to climb. This session will:

• Offer practical, humorous, and often unorthodox advice about how to take risks

Retaining Your Talent in an Evolving Market

Most organizations can tell you exactly how they acquired each customer—but struggle to explain why any customer left. After making huge investments of time, money, and energy to acquire new customers, most companies see between 20 percent and 70 percent of those customers disappear in less than one hundred days. This session will explore how a comprehensive customer experience strategy can help retain customers, salesforce leaders, and top talent. This session will explore how:

• A positive customer experience requires an all-handson-deck approach by every member of your team

• Companies can approach the creation of remarkable experiences as a philosophy rather than a task

• A renewed commitment and focus on creating positive experiences leads to increased employee engagement

How to Build Your Business for Buy-In: The Simplest, Strongest Way to Expedite Your Impact

There’s nothing more frustrating than being a direct sales leader in charge of sharing new products, rolling out new comp plans, hyping new leadership, advocating for new trends- and having your initiative fall on deaf ears. What goes wrong? Why DON’T you get the buy-in you know you need to take your momentum to the next level? In this practical and energizing keynote, 25year message strategist, change communication expert, and former TEDx executive producer Tamsen Webster will show you how to get people invested, literally and figuratively, in the future you foresee. How? By crafting your communications around the most motivating of messages: the stories they already believe.

After this keynote you’ll be able to:

• Understand why challenging people’s beliefs is the enemy of intrinsic motivation, and what to do instead

• Clearly and quickly identify who is, and isn’t, an ideal fit for your ideas, initiatives, and offers—and why—so you can focus your efforts where they’ll have the greatest effect

• Follow a framework for simplifying them to their most important, and irresistible, elements and building in buy-in from the beginning

3 Strategies to Improve Your Company Journey: Stand Up. Stand Together. Stand Out.

When we improve the company journey, we improve the distributor journey. The better we do in managing this journey at the company level, the smoother the path will be for our distributors. Don’t miss this keynote where you’ll learn three strategies to effectively Stand Up (to regulators), Stand Together (with other direct selling companies to compete and win in the larger gig industry), and Stand Out (through the “brand connection”).

Diversity, Empowerment & Inclusion

While companies have shown good faith and increased dialogue and effort regarding diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI), evidence suggests only modest improvement. Global corporate investment in DEI is projected to nearly double from $7.5 billion in 2020 to $15.4 billion in 2026 as corporations invest more money in initiatives like employee resource groups (ERGs). Yet, if progress continues at the current rate, decades upon decades will pass before women and men worldwide have equal access to the economic mainstream. Join this panel to learn how to implement lasting change in diversity, equity, and inclusion in any company.

Overcoming Supply Chain and Distribution Issues

Palomino

8

Palomino

This session will discuss the increasingly broad regulatory framework that applies to global supply chains. Since the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission adopted the so-called Conflicts Minerals Rule in 2010, companies have been called upon to know and understand the origin of certain raw materials in their supply chains. Since that time, numerous regulations have followed – some regulating environmental outcomes such as the EU REACH and ROHS, and some tracking labor and other human rights practices, such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act. This session will explore the most prominent supply chain regulatory regimes and discuss best practices for establishing supply chain monitoring and compliance. We will also discuss the likely course of supply chain regulation in the future.

Not Again: FTC Notice of Penalty Authority on Product Substantiation

9

Palomino

In April, the FTC sent out new penalty offense notices to 670 companies, warning them that failure to substantiate product claims could result in civil penalties of more than $50,000 per violation. For many companies in direct selling, this is the second or third penalty offense notice that they have received in less than two years, having received one regarding earnings claims and/or one regarding endorsements and testimonials, both in October 2021. The latest notice comes on the heels of the FTC updating its Health Claims Guidance in January. What do these notices mean and what should your company do in response to the recent penalty offense notices and updates to health claims guidance to mitigate the risk? Our panel of experts helps you unpack these evolving legal notices and guidance.
