The searchable calendar showcases current and future events. Featured events are highlights, partner events are those posted on the hub and community are sourced from across the web.

Sign In / Register First step is to register your DIFVic User Account on the DIFVic Online Events Hub. We invite you to register for an Account, regardless if you are an Event Host or an audience member. To do so, click the “sign in” button in the top right corner and click “Register Here” on the next screen. Both take you to this screen. https://dif.vic.gov.au/account/registersignin You can visit the online event hub at any time by clicking the person icon in the upper right-hand corner and selecting “Profile”. You can become an Event Partner and Post an Event and manage your events under your profle and check the progress of your submitted events.

Sign In Once you have created your User Account you login with your email address. If you previously had events in DIF2018 your original account is still action. Or if you’ve forgotten your password, simply reset it here. https://dif.vic.gov.au/forgotten-password

Manage your own DIF Profile This year, you can create your own DIF Experience. By signing up for an account, shortlisting events and scheduling tailored alerts to your inbox. So, if you’re interested in entrepreneurs or emerging technology you can easily find events via a keyword search as all are all events tagged with relevant categories. A. B. C. D. E.

My Account - This loads your current profile details and allows you to change anything if need be. My Alerts - This will show your Saved Searches for events, if you have any. You can also create a new search in this window. My Shortlist - Any events that you saved will appear here in a list so you can easily see what events you are interested in attending Send a Message – If you need to contact the DIF team just complete the online form My Events – This section is for Event Hosts to manage their calendar listings. A list of all pending, approved, removed and expired events are stored here.

A. My Account Once you Sign Up everything can be managed under My Account. To access your account click the person icon in the upper right-hand corner and selecting “Profile�. Note this is also where you can Remove My Account.

The sections of your account are explained in detail in the following guide.

B. My Alerts – Advanced Search First step is to conduct an advanced search and follow the prompts. You can search from

If your search is too specific it will let you know there are no events matching your search. So simply search again.

Save Search as Alert. Search Results Results will be displayed and you can view them in grid or list view and order by date or relevance.

Once you click Save Search as Alert it will appear under My Alerts. My Alerts is where you can manage the regularity you receive email alerts. You can also create new alerts when you need to. If you need to change your alert settings simple go to dif.vic.gov.au/myeventalert/1

Any events that you saved will appear here in a list so you can easily see what events you are interested in attending

Your latest event alerts are sent direct to your inbox. Stay on top of what's happening around you! Here is your list of upcoming events. Click here to view all events matching your search.

B. My Events You can monitor and manage your events in this tab. Check on the status after you’ve submitted your event to see if it’s approved, If you need to update your event listing, such as details change, venue, speakers, etc. simply select Modify. If your event is cancelled you can edit and Remove it from this tab.

Once submitted, you will receive an email notification to confirm your event was submitted and is pending approval. You can visit the online event hub at any time to submit a new event and check the progress of your submitted events.

POST AN EVENT Either click the Post an Event pink button in the top left corner or the site of via your account. This will open a new page with the Event Registration Form.

Submit an Event To help in your event planning, please note the information required to submit a listing into the calendar.

1. Event Details Event Title: What’s your event title? Event Organiser: Who is the individual or organisation organising the event? Categories: Select all that apply to your event: Business Transformation, Digital Skills, Diversity & Inclusion, Emerging Technology, Entrepreneurs, Future Workforce, Government Services, Regional Growth, Startups & Scaleups Where: Select all that apply to your event: CBD, Melbourne, Regional, Online

2. Event Location Please indicate the physical address of the event. If the event is an online event, please enter the location of your office space. We will not put the location on the event information if it is an online event.

3. Event Date(s) Indicate the date and time of your event. If you are hosting an event that occurs over multiple days, simple choose “add dates”. Please do this instead of submitting a new event per date.

Please use this area to give a quick description of what an audience member can expect from the event and include any details about your event that are not captured in other fields.

5. Contact and Booking Details Contact Number: Please provide at least one number we can reach you at. Contact Email: Provide the best email to contact you. Event Website URL: When submitting the URL please include “http://” Ticket Booking URL: If you have a ticket booking URL please indicate so. When submitting the URL please include http://

PUBLISHING The DIF team aims to review event within 48 hours and will contact the nominated Event Host if/when your event/s have been accepted into the Festival program. Once approved your event will appear on My Events on the DIF event calendar. By posting your event on the DIF Online Events Hub you agree to acknowledge this in your event marketing. The DIF Branding Guide and access to logos to include in your promotions will be provided. When your event has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email that your event has been approved and is now on the Event Calendar. Any event scheduled between 23 August and 6 September will automatically be an been approved as part of the 2019 Digital Innovation Festival.

Check your event before selecting Publish.

If you need to make changes select Edit/Modify Event If you have multiple events in a series you can Modify All You can also edit anytime if details change.

Approval Your event listing will be reviewed and once approved you will receive notice via email, My Events will show it is approved as will the event listing as illustrated below.
