alice to Alice

Alice Cooper tribute artist John Klenn talk with

Alice Cooper

Preface by Darian Counts Questions By John Klenn Photos by M.G. Nader

JK: Saw your show in Detroit W/Ace Frehley, great show! Have Alice Cooper and Kiss ever shared the stage? AC: That really was a great show in Detroit. That was the last show of the US run this year, and it’s always kind of a nice sigh of relief when you’re wrapping up a tour, but it’s bitter sweet. That was actually our last full show with guitarist Damon Johnson. He left to join

Before anyone had ever heard of shock rockers like Marilyn Manson, or Rob Zombie, one man pushed the envelope regarding live rock and roll performances. Since the last 60’s Alice Cooper has been creating some of the most impressive theatrical rock and roll experiences the world has ever seen. Combining the art of illusion with horror and good old fashioned rock and roll is a skill that Alice not only invented but perfected. Detroit Live caught up with Alice in late September to talk about his long career as well as to get an insight as to how he creates his onstage executions. JK: What was your inspiration for the creation of the persona, “Alice Cooper” and where did the actual design of the make-up come from? AC: Rock and needed a villain. I was born to be a villain, a fictitious villain. I have no idea where the make-up came from, I was just playing around with it one day and it came about. I think it looks like a cross between a dangerous clown and a drag queen.

JK: Who haven’t you played with... that you’d like to? AC: I haven’t played with Jack White or Eminem... Two drastically different musical styles but both amazingly talented. I also think Lady Gaga and I should do “I Got You Babe”, just to make people angry. JK: Where do you see Alice in say...10 yrs? That

JK: What are your thoughts on tribute acts covering your band? AC: It’s always a compliment that someone would spend all that time learning your music... I like obsessive people. It really bothers me though when they do our songs better than us... KILL THEM!! I always laugh though when someone says, “Look how much he looks like you!” and the guy is 200 lbs. and 5 ft, 2 in. JK: Is Calico still touring in your show? AC: Calico is now focusing on acting full time. Cali has been able to talk her way out of sunburn from the age of 9... She’s hilarious, and belongs on stage. Right now she is doing movies, and is also part of an improv comedy group called the Groundlings. They are the group that regularly feeds talent to Saturday Night Live. I sort of kicked her out of the nest; I said “this is too easy for you”. She needed to get out there and do something challenging. You can see what she’s up to at calicocooper.com.

his favorite band Thin Lizzy, which is why we now have Australian guitar prodigy, Orianthi, in the band. Anyway, we’ve done shows with Ace a bunch of times, he’s really a great guy. Kiss? They’re the guys with the makeup right? We have done a few shows with Kiss, most recently in New Zealand a couple years back. We played a big stadium festival. Now that was a show, Alice Cooper and Kiss on the same stage. Sort of two paraworlds coming together. JK: How? Where do you come up with the executions in your show? AC: The executions are classic killing machines. It has to be a shocking death, something that’s hard to fake. A hanging, guillotine, or an iron maiden are hard to fake. They have been Alice gems for 40 years, and people look forward to seeing the bad guy get what he deserves, and then be resurrected in top hat and white tails. The electric chair was a staple Alice execution, but it’s too slow and not as shocking ironically enough. JK: Will Alice and the boys be going anywhere new on this tour? AC: Yes, we will be in Jakarta and Singapore for the first time ever this year. We are very excited to see these places. We end up in mostly the same cities year after year, so it’s always great when new markets open up. I can’t wait to get into China.

would be 2021. AC: As always, on tour, or in the studio. The R word isn’t even in my vocabulary. Thanks from Alice! Go Lions, Go Tigers, Go Big Blue!

While the brothers were avid filmmakers during childhood and adolescence over time educational and occupational forces exerted themselves and eventually Scott became a Police Officer and Dan went into music. Things began to change with the news of the film industry moving to Detroit several years ago. Dan enrolled in film production classes and Scott began to dust off some of the many scripts he had written. In the last few years, the Galeski Brothers have written and produced several highly acclaimed films.

The Galeski Brothers, Scott & Dan have been writing and producing movies since childhood. It started out in the days before video on a little remembered media called “film”. It was the 1970’s, days of Super 8. A time you would snap a cartridge into your windup camera and have 3 minutes to create your masterpiece. Scott and Dan started out with story lines we can all

Most of their films have a gritty vibeto them. One reason is due to director Scott Galeski’s background in law enforcement. Another reason is the supurb choices they’ve made regarding casting.

Scott: Well its always an obstical but for our award winning film “The Tank” we were able to self finance it and put a movie together that got national recognition. Dan and Scott Geleski are fantastic examples of the Detroit, but more specifically the downriver work ethic. All their films use local talent. They are built around themes that are familiar to anyone who was born and raised here. Says Scott Galeski, “Downriver is a great place to come from. CONT.

Rachael Adams By D.Counts

In a relatively short period of time Detroit actress Rachael Adams has gained quite a bit of experience in the acting world. She stopped in to the U Detroit café in September to appear on Detroit Lives weekly online program and we got a chance to learn a bit about her career and the movie business in general. A Michigan native, after high school Rachael obtained her degree from the University of Michigan. Having accomplished her academic goals Rachel turned her sites on her life long goal of becoming an actor. With the movie industry moving more and more production to Michigan Rachael recognized her opportunity. Thru hard work, networking auditioning and constant promotion Rachel has been able to elevate her to the fore front of up and coming Michigan actresses. Darian: I know in the short time that you’ve been acting you’ve had some great success Can you tell us a bit about some of your breaks and how you went about acquiring roles? Rachel: Well in the movie industry like many others it’s very important to network and make connections and that is what I’ve been doing. I was lucky enough to get some work as an extra and a stand in that led to other things. A while back I got a chance to do some work on the show Detroit 187 . I was in episode 12 as a “ High class Escort” and they like me so they invited me to stay on from December to the season wrap as Wendy’s stand in. Wendy was one of the main characters. So anytime Wendy was on the scene I was there. Darian: Exactly what does a stand in do? Is that like an understudy? RA: No a stand is the person they use to do all the scenes that don’t actually involve the face of the actor. They find someone who resembles the actor or actress and they use them to set the lights and cameras and then they’ll film the scene with a stand in and if they like what they see then they bring in the actor or actress. Actors and actresses are expensive so it’s not worth it to pay them to stand around while they adjust the set so they have a stand in do it. I was in the upcoming movie Mimesis as Christy Swansons double. Everything you see in that movie regarding her, except for shots that involve her face, are me. Things like shots back of hear head, to hand movements to body shots. Darian: Tell us about your upcoming movie Mimesis. Rachael: Mimesis, starring Courtney and Sid

LAURIE HORN

DLM: Did he say what he liked about your sound that appealed to him?

By Eric Harabadian LH: He said he liked my expressiveness

The second Friday of every month finds singer-songwriter, Laurie Horn, holding court at the Fenton Winery and Brewery in Fenton, Michigan. The Genesee County venue is a laid back and relaxed place that is the perfect setting for Horn’s mix of rock, pop, jazz covers and originals. She performs solo and recently captivated a small, but attentive audience with her uncanny ability to mimic everyone from Billie Holiday to Bonnie Raitt. Laurie’s chameleonic vocal abilities were honed decades earlier in the late ‘60s, when the slender chanteuse performed in a rock ‘n roll show band that was traveling the southern United States. Horn began as a costume designer for the band but also assisted in writing some of their musical arrangements. One night as they were rehearsing one of her songs after hours at a club, some of the patrons overheard her voice and started inquiring if she was the lead singer; before she knew it, she was fronting the group and playing major music festivals in Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana. She also was hobnobbing with, then, emerging bands like Led Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane.

Plant and Janis Joplin and it was Janis who did her in. She went out on stage with a bad case of laryngitis and blew out her vocal cords from the strain and had to take several years off, doctors thinking she would never sing again. Twenty years later at a chance meeting at a Halloween party Horn reconnected with some of her old band mates. Unbeknownst to her, one of them arranged some studio time for her and was shocked to learn she had not continued her music career during all those years.

was always looking for the way bigger picture. I was kind of tripping over myself and I also wanted to experiment and try a few different producers. But it just didn’t gel. It just wasn’t speaking to me. So I called Nick again and said “Hey…. (laughs) I’ve got a bunch of songs!” So I got back with Nick and it was like we didn’t even take any time off. And I told him I wanted to do an album that was all rock. In the midst of working on this album, I went on Sonicbids and saw that Ron Nevison—who, as either engineer or producer, has worked with Heart, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Chicago, Rolling Stones, etc.—was looking for new talent to work with. So I submitted some of my music and was shocked as all get out that, out of thousands that submitted their music, I was one of the ones he selected.

The rest, as they say, was history as Horn was bitten by the bug and renewed with a vibrancy and inner drive to get back in the music game. After sitting in with several groups, and a series of misfires trying to form her own bands, the intrepid singer, armed with a catalog of original lyrics and melodic ideas, sought a collaborator to flesh out her vision. Through a local ad, she partnered with musician/songwriter/engineer/producer, Nick Dalbis, eventually creating the album Alive Again in 2005.

LH: So we made arrangements to fly him in last August 2010 and he was here for a week in Nick’s studio. I couldn’t do an entire album with him but we worked on a couple songs. He really liked the song “Trouble” and then we worked on a cover of Bryan Adams called “Run to You.”

Detroit Live caught up with the diligent and unstoppable Ms. Horn to see what she has been up to. Truth be told, you can’t keep a good woman down! DLM: Can you tell me about your new album called Trouble?

DLM: So you had a real working relationship going with someone on that level. How cool is that!? LH: Oh yeah! Just the stories he had about working with different artists were great. But there were some tense moments in the studio too, because Nick had his way of laying vocals and Ron had his way. So sometimes Nick would stalk out of the room and then Ron. And I’d be saying “can’t we all just get along (laughs)?” Oh my god….trouble lived up to its name (laughs). I thought that song would be the death of all of us! But I’m really pleased the way it came out. But it was a great opportunity and some great memories! I’ve sent Ron the completed album but have not heard anything since, but he’s got a lot of connections and you never know.

and a mix of rawness, with a softer edge. And there were a number of songs he really liked too. DLM: And when did the album Trouble come out? LH: Just this past July. DLM: And you have a disc of cover songs and a jazz album coming out soon too, correct? LH: Yes, the covers album is called Rumpled Covers and will have six songs on it. Of all the thousands of songs, these are some of my favorites. It will include “Run to You,” a slow and jazzy version of Journey’s “Lovin’, Touchin,’ Squeezin’,” “Double Vision” by Foreigner— slowed down and more bluesy, “Witchy Woman” by the Eagles—featuring some interesting instrumentation, with didgeridoo and the Celtic bodran drum, slide guitar and dobro, Nilsson’s “Without You” and a techno/electronica version of Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” which was originally a track off my first solo album Alive Again. And then, hopefully, I will be releasing my third album which will be the jazz series. It will be original jazz, jazz-pop and jazz-blues, with a remake of “Roadhouse Blues” on there. There is also a song that we wrote that might be recorded by a major artist that we might put on there as well depending on what happens with that. DLM: Can you talk about who that artist may be? LH: Well, I can’t really say anything yet but I’ve been working with this publisher in Nashville and he submitted one of our songs to her to be considered for a new album. I’ve had songs submitted to artists for years and have come close in the past. But there is some great interest in this one so we’ll see. All I can say is that this person is maybe not so mainstream now but is extremely well known.

LH: After Alive Again came out, I took two years off from working with my producer/collaborator Nick. I was trying to kind of back off from it a bit and settle back into normalcy; but that wasn’t going to happen because I had too much DLM: Good luck with that Laurie. For a DLM: Well, that’s a great calling card singer-songwriter that’s gold! music inside that I had to get out. Laurie and something to put on your reDLM: What do you mean by normalcy? sume. The Grohl Factor

Monday, September 19th, Dave Grohl and his band, The Foo Fighters, set The Palace of Auburn Hills on fire. I don’t know if it’s because Dave is a multitalented musician or just his presence that makes seeing a Foo Fighters Concert feel like a history-making event. Dave definitelyknows the exact recipe to combine song with performance that makes Dave one of the best. The Foo Fighters stage is set up with a long runway that allows Dave to interact with his fans and make every concert he performs something personal. Three years ago, we started Detroit Live Magazine based on the belief that there is no greater

music scene that equals that of Detroit Michigan. In the last 36 months, our suspicions have been realized and it is now becoming a widely accepted fact that Detroit is the true music capital of the world. Over the next few months we’ll be checking back with some of the artists we’ve covered over the years. This month we check in with Ty Stone, Christina Chriss, Pistol Day Parade and JTX... Enjoy

I got to make a lot of new friends like people like Phil Vassar and Sarah Evans. DC:Do you feel as comfortable with a country crowd as you do a rock crowd? TY: As long as it’s a crowd, I don’t care what it is. I’m happy to perform. I remember playing the Token Lounge back in 98 and 99. . I’m as excited now as I was then. Since we first met Christina Chriss a few years ago a lot has changed. New songs, new band members, new direction. According to Christina the last few years have been an incredible learning experience. While her career seemed to take off overnight she quickly felt she was being pulled into a direction that she wasn’t comfortable with. Since her appearence on the cover of Detroit Live in early 2009. There has been much interest in her career. She’s been flown out to L.A., pushed and pulled and in mutliple directions, and finally came to the conclusion that she is going stay true to herself and her music. So she disbanded the Christina Chriss band and joined up with Joey Fava, Cody Morales and Ronny to form Kaleido. Says Christina, ”Kaleido is not about one person it’s about all of us. I truly feel we are making music that represents us.”

The project has a more soulful, almost folk-feel at times, but never far beneath the surface is the passion of Christina’s voice which is always waiting to break through. We wish Christina and the boys from Kaleido the best of luck and look forward to hearing their new release.

3 Years of DL MAG JTX

It was Christmas and I was snowed in NYC. I’d received a double Platinum Award for the song “Smile” I’d written with Kracker and at the same time I found out that Kenny Chesney was releasing a song I wrote called “Somewhere with You” and I just felt overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to be pursuing my goals. The realization that I was chasing my dream and each day getting closer , made me feel lucky to be living in America where you can literally become anything you aspire to. So stuck in a hotel in New York, I sat down to write this big wet kiss, pierced bellybutton, love song for America. What came from that was my new single “Love in America”. Since then I’ve been on the road just running that song up the flagpole. We’ve been hitting colleges and radio stations all over the country and getting great response.

Dc : JT you’ve always got great stories from the road for DL readers. Anything recent?

A lot has happened in the last couple years. Last we checked in with JTX , his hit song ,Party like a rock star was getting airplay all over the world. Since then a lot has happened for this Detroit rocker. We caught up with JTX on the road promoting his new release, “Love in America”.

JTX … always. Well a while back I was waiting for my flight at LAX. Sleeping in one of the airport chairs was a noticeably pretty blond. People were kind of looking at her and pointing. I just assumed it was because she was hot. So when she began to wake up, I casually meandered on over to her and began to spark up a conversation with her. I was trying to work my mojo but she didn’t seem to be biting. So I mentioned that I’m a musician, with a few songs out and doing well, songs like Party Like a Rock Star, Love in America, my name is JTX .. Have you ever heard of me? She politely said “no, sorry I haven’t, but I also do music and have a record out. My name is Kesha”……. Dough! twitter.com/ jtxrockstar and or Facebook.com/jtxmusic

DC: It’s great to hear more music from you. Some of the stuff off your last CD was fantastic. I loved “Party Like a Rock Star” and “Doesn’t Matter”. How did you write your latest song?

PISTOL DAY PARADE

Since last we spoke with the boys from Pistol Day Parade, they were featured on the cover of Detroit Live Magazine and getting a lot of attention from major Detroit radio as well as the rest of the world. Since then, a lot has happened says bassist Jason Lollio. “We’ve made some changes and really taken our time on this new CD. Producing our CD is Sponge’s own, Tim Patalan. Tim has helped us take our time and dig in on this recording like none we’ve ever done. We feel this new CD will be edgier than anything we’ve put out in the past. We are excited to share it with the world.” On this album we are lucky enough to have drummer , Dave Conglin with us. Combining him, with two more years of experience under our belts and Tim producing the CD, we feel this will be our best work ever.” Pistol Day Parade made big waves around Detroit two years ago with their hits, High and Rockstar‘s Girlfriend. They’ve gotten massive radio airplay and are sure to inpress the rock and roll world with this new release. Look to hear fresh PDP songs around the first of the year…can’t wait.

Collective Soul's

Joel Kosche Talks to DLM's Jordan Sarah WEATHERHEAD! This month I got the chance to have a one on one phone conversation with Collective Soul’s very own lead guitarist, Joel Kosche. I was a bit intimidated while I waited for the phone to ring; after all, this is a band that has had some of the greatest alternative rock/grunge songs of all time. I queued up my list of great Collective Soul songs as I waited and first on the list was of course “Shine”. Songs like “December” and “The World I Know” followed shortly after.

TOMMY LEE

DJ Aero: David Guetta featured it on his summer charts, which is awesome! DL: How would you guys explain your sound?

The word “rockstar” is thrown around too much. I’ve always believed to be a true rockstar, people outside of your genre and normal fan base need to know who you are. One person who fits that persona is Tommy Lee, as he is now expanding his stardom by teaming up with DJ Aero and making a crossover into electronic music, while joining Deadmau5’s label Mau5trap Records. Detroit Live had that chance to talk with Tommy and Aero as they were making their way to Houston to open for Deadmau5 on the Meowingtons Hax Tour.

Music Hath Charms By Boyd Baumgartner

“Music Hath Charms to Sooth the Savage Breast”. (Or Beast depending on your interpretation). I often think of that quotation when I think of how music effects me and the impact it has on my life. It really can have a soothing affect. It’s amazing how music can mark life’s moments. From a favorite song that helps us to celebrate a momentous occasion, a song that let’s us reminisce about a time in our past, reminding us of what we were doing or where we were and who we were with when we heard it for the first time. Or a song that reminds of us of a lost love, or the loss of someone close to us. Many of my favorite songs will come to mind during certain instances in my life. I recall when I was going through some problems at my job (and who hasn’t?) and I was seriously thinking of quitting. REO Speedwagons’s, “Time For Me To Fly” came into my head. I subsequently no longer have that job, but you can see how significant that song was to me at the time. I have so many examples of music literally being a sound track to my life. Queensryche’s, “Silent Lucidity”, has a very emotional effect on me because it makes me think of my children. As a father, I can very much relate to the lyrics of that song and I inevitably get a lump in my throat when I hear it. Rush’s, “The Pass” is an emotional song for me as well. I can really feel the struggle of the song’s subject to find himself and his agony of choosing life or death. Led Zeppelins’, “In the light”, has some religious over tones, but I still find it to be up lifting (tongue firmly planted in cheek). I could go on with so many more examples, but I think you get my meaning, and I’m fairly sure you can relate. What would life be like without music? I hope that I don’t live long enough to find out. As I’ve mentioned before in a past post, I am a musician. Does music mean more to me because of that fact than it does to a non-musician? I’m not enough of an egotist to believe that. Being a musician doesn’t make

me an expert by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I would dare say that being a musician sometimes makes it hard to hear the music for what it is, instead of analyzing it with a musician’s ear. Some of the greatest pleasure we can have comes from just sitting down and listening to music, I mean really listening to it. The lyrics, the melodies, and the subtle nuances that maybe we didn’t hear in it before. Music is made to be enjoyed. It’s made to make us feel all kinds of feelings. I guess that’s what I’ve always gotten out of music, even at an early age. To sum this all up dear reader, music is truly the spice of life. I can’t think of anything that can so eloquently capture the meaning of so many things. The joining of two lives in love, the birth of a child, the heart breaking loss of a loved one, the celebration of youth, our relationship with a

higher power, or the sheer joy of being alive. And that’s what music does my dear friends; it reminds us that we are alive. And that ain’t too bad. I want to thank all of those people that have made the music that has so profoundly made an everlasting inspirational impression on me. Thank you for taking the time to work so hard at your craft and putting your heart and soul into it. Your music will remain timeless. You know who you are.

The Worst Of is compiled of Noel Thomas on vocals, Paul Barager and Justin Krasnodemski (Kras) on guitar, David Miller II on lead drums and Zach Bridges on bass. The group is a combination of new and old. Noel, Justin and Paul formed the hardcore/metal band Trenchfoot back in 2001 and went until about 2008. After a short time, they changed their name to Take Their Heart and continued through 2009. After a short break and Noel joining the metal band Gales for just over a year, it was time to bring Paul back into the mix. The band started as John Alastra (former) Noel Thomas and Paul Barager then looking for the perfect drummer to fit their radical style and then John Alastra quit and we brought on board David Miller II on drums and Zach Bridges on bass. We are a culmination of several bands smashed together. Several come from the band, Trenchfoot and Take Their Hearts, who played all over Detroit and toured several times from 2003-2008. Gales was a metal band that lasted through 2010, played a good amount of shows and had a decent following. David Miller played with Forest Wade and lead singer/bassist, Daniel Wyatt, as well as Crackjaw, and UndaGround Disciples. Zach came from the young, hip metal band, The Dead Still Dream, who are currently recording a new album.

Needing to let out their rock and metal personalities on stage, the two set out in search of two members that would fit this mold. “We really needed to find a drummer and singer who didn’t just drum and sing, ya

On their Facebook, Twitter, and website you will find continuously updated information on their shows, music, and media appearances. Escape the Fate pointed they were but that only lasted for a minute. In their place, straight from California, “Orange Blossom Special” flew on stage and lit up DTE with a blistering performance that had me wanting to see more! With a combined Rock, Soul and a hard-driving sound, this trio became an early favorite of mine. Check out their jam “Wishful ThinkThis festival brought one @$$ kicking ing” at www.facebook.com/obsrocknroll. line-up that performed from 2pm to twilight. I arrived early in the afternoon, and Black Tide then erupted on stage; Gabe (Lead the sea of rock fans waiting to get through Singer) commanded the floor like a seasoned the gates was a pretty impressive sight. Fate” started things off on the main stage. Pure rock is the best way to explain these guys. Go check out their video, “Gorgeous Nightmare”, and you will see exactly what I am talking about. Escape the Fate was no disappointment and a great start to the main! After an eye pleasing Miss Uproar Contest, “Bullet for my Valentine” clawed their way on stage. DLM covered these guys last year when they played the Fillmore Detroit. This Welch Band has been making waves all over the world. Bullet shoots you right through the heart and keeps you begging for more, I love this band and I know many more feel the same way!

Kicking things off on the Ernie Ball Stage was one of Detroit’s newest bands, Blood Line Riot, who earned their spot at Uproar by winning a battle contest. I would love to tell you how these guys deserve to be winners and how they blew up DTE, but our very own Jordan Weatherhead has a full feature floating around this issue that I highly recommend you checking out!

Neeeeeext, Seether slithered up on stage and in typical Seether fashion these guys rocked. Seether is one of my fav’s and after they performed “Country Song” let me tell you the party was not over! Crushing out the rest of the evening “Three Days Grace” and Avenged Sevenfold made it feel like it was just beginning. Both these bands have rock n roll sewed into the brains, great stage shows, hit after hit and nothing short of ripping your face off. Big props to Rockstar Energy Drink for bringing yet another great Black Tide line-up to feed our addiction to ROCK!

I will tell you what’s up with Uproar, for those who don’t know; The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is a jammed pack day with two stages, featuring 11 rock havoc bands that took over DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Mi.

We do songs you don’t normally hear, for example, “Talks to Angels” by Black Crow and “Jane” by Jefferson Starship.

With the same powerful intensity and significance of Hurricane Katrina and Irene, the band, Category 5, indeed captivates their audiences with their high energy, showmanship and “concert quality” performances. So, we take our music very seriously and we love it and because the guys in the band are so talented; they’re prodigies at what they do in each one of their categories and that gives us the ability to do quite a few songs that you don’t normally hear bands do and that’s what makes us different. As a child, Maison grew up in Southeast Michigan. “My Dad was a self-employed plumber, and he took me to work with him,” Maison Says. “Long rides in the work van meant listening to a lot of radio.” Maison quickly took interest to country and rock. “Air guitar” solos and singing into “soap microphones” in the shower quickly turned into stage performances. Professionally trained since the age of 14, John began singing in choir and writing songs. Following his parents advice, John put his music career on hold to attend collage at Michigan State University where he received a degree in Finance. John also attended Grad School at Walsh College where he received an MBA. Throughout college, John would write songs in his apartment every week with hopes of recording them one day. “Every time I wrote a song, I’d put it in one of those big old CocaCola piggy bank bottles,” Maison says. “I told myself once it was full; I would pick my best songs and record them”. In 2008, John landed a spot as a semi-finalist on GAC Star, which provided many new opportunities. Radio play on several Michigan Radio stations, along with National exposure from GAC Television, has allowed Maison to further fuel his goal to have the country listen to his music.
