Bands to watch in 2014 WISHING ALL BANDS A PROSPEROUS 2014
KALEIDO Since its formation in late 2011 Kaleido has been steadily gaining momentum. Their explosive stage show and top shelf musicianship has opened many doors for them throughout Michigan and the U.S. Christina has performed the National Anthem at Tigers, Pistons and Red wings events. Christina Chriss and the boys played the 2013 Vans Warped Tour, CMJ Music Marathon and The 2013 Rockstar Uproar Festival. They’ve opened for Kid Rock, Chevelle The Offspring Tesla, Skid Row. They were the 89X Peoples Choice winner for 11 consecutive nights beating out bands Like Jack white,Muse, Blink 182 and Billy Talent.
PISTOL DAY PARADE Since The first issue of Detroit Live Magazine Pistol Day Parade has been a band that is rife with promise. They band is fully stocked with some of the areas best musicians. Their ability to write, perform and promote a great tune is indisputable. Last year they added Jason Hartless on Drums , signed with Goomba Music and toured extensively. Look for 2014 to be the year they go to the next level.
While the boys in Shock Wave may seem young, (and they are) they have more experience than many bands currently playing the Detroit scene. For the past few years Angelo Coppola and brothers Dave and Dylan Frankel have rocked venues all over Detroit. They’ve shared the stage with Sponge, The Rockets, Pop Evil, Pistol Day Parade and many more. With theses guys, its just a matter of time before music fans from all over the country know their name. 8 LIVE

CITIZEN ZERO Another incredible band emanating form the motor City is Citizen Zero. These guys have a huge sound and songs thick with harmony and hooks. In the last couple years they have made a name for themselves. Since 2011 They’ve shared the stage with Kid Rock, ZZ Top, Halestorm, Living Colour, Everlast, and Switchfoot.
