– Position Opening: Full-Time Police Clerk – The Carlisle Police Department is seeking a candidate for the position of full-time police clerk.
Responsibilities include preparing newspapers for distribution by inserting sections into the newspaper either by hand or machine, stacking newspapers off the press or insert machines and other related duties. Hours and shifts vary from 20 to 37.5 hours per week. This job requires the ability to lift 25 pounds and adhere to safety regulations regarding operation of machinery. Qualified candidates must be available to work combinations of day, night and weekend shifts. Starting wage is $9.00/ hour with $.18/hour night differential. The clerk position performs a variety of clerical duties and records management functions for the Police Department’s Records Division; processes and maintains law enforcement records and reports; distributes proper reports to federal, state departments, courts and other organizations; responds to general departmental inquires; provides customer service to the public; handles Code Enforcement issues and performs other related duties as assigned.
