The Fitzgerald Ben Hill County Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting will be on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. at Wiregrass Technical College. The past several years we have asked our members to decorate the tables for us at this event. By our members decorating the tables it allows them to "show case" their business, it also helps us out here at the chamber. Everyone that attends our annual meeting can't wait to see the decorations and who decorate which table. There are 6-8 seats per table and we ask that you leave a small door prize at each seat for the guests sitting at your table. There are two large tables at the front with 10 seats per table.
We are contacting you to see if you would be willing to decorate a couple of tables this year for this event and advertise your business? As we brought 2015 to closure we were on a journey for the month of December. Where's Neesa? Where's Neesa indeed. What fun this was. I had the opportunity to visit with a number of you early each morning. WRDO was gracious enough to allow us to call in and have them interview you so you could showcase your businesses. Many of you actually gained business because of your interview. As we roll into 2016 we have a number of other ideas as to how to showcase your businesses. Keep folks shopping local. HOWEVER, I need all of you to help accomplish this. Please, as we have member gatherings come, share your ideas. You obviously have great ideas or you wouldn't be in business in the first place. The chamber is YOUR chamber, yes YOU. Individual, business, and professional leaders concerned citizens in Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County working together to improve economic well being, image and livability of our community. No one person has all the answers. Together we have knowledge and strength to accomplish many things. So, here we go Fitzgerald. It's time to open our minds, hearts and roll up our sleeves. Let's make 2016 the BEST year it can be. I look forward to working with each and every one of you!

We are looking for homemade or bakery made cakes, cookies, brownies, blondies, pies, torts, individual puddings and fruit. Tickets are now available! Get your tickets fast!!! There are a limited number of tickets available and they usually sell out for the Reader's Theater productions. Tickets are currently available at the Carnegie Center and will be available later today at the Chamber of Commerce. There is also a few individuals selling tickets(Brandy Nelson Elrod, Susan Hughes, Abby Johnson Holt) Tickets are $15 and include a decadent dessert bar.
