Receiving dates are September 13-24 and October 8-18. It is possible to deliver bulls prior to or between receiving dates with prior notice. For long haul suggestions or if you have any questions, please call. There is someone at Midland Bull Test at all times; however, we do appreciate a call if you will be arriving late. Location: The test station is located between Park City and Columbus on old Hwy. #10, or the South Frontage Rd. If you are traveling west, exit at Park City, and travel 11.1 miles west on the frontage road. If you are traveling east, exit at Columbus and travel 6.6 miles east on Hwy. #10 (starts as Pike Street). Enclosed you will find your Midland fieldsheet. Please fill this paperwork out as completely as possible. If you have more than one breed of cattle you are sending, please list them on separate fieldsheets. The following information needs to accompany the bull(s) when they arrive at the test station!
q 1.) Fieldsheet - (Enclosed) A.) Vaccination Record - The vaccination record is very important. We use this to determine what vaccinations are necessary to complete their health regimen. B.) Bull Listing - List the bull(s) consigned first by sire (complete name – not a nickname or number) then by age – oldest first within a sire group. We will assign a station tag number. C.) Name/Ranch Name - The information you give us, i.e. name, ranch name, city, state is the information that we use in all advertising and printed material. Please indicate which name you want used in our progress reports and sale catalog. D.) Weaning Data – We are asking which breed association or performance organization calculates your weaning data. Please send a copy of the weaning data computer sheet as soon as you can, preferably when the bulls are delivered, but at least by December 1st, and indicate on the computer sheet the bulls that are at Midland. Health: Check with your vet for interstate health regulations. We will need interstate health certificates on bull(s) from q 2.) out of Montana (your vet will need to call the Montana State Vet at 1-406-444-2976) and a brand inspection when the bulls arrive. BVD Testing: If bulls have been BVD tested, please mark appropriately on the fieldsheet, make a copy of the test q 3.) results and send it with your bulls. If the bulls haven’t been BVD tested, we will test them upon arrival. Herd Tags: We will attempt to leave herd tags in if located in the right ear. It may be necessary to remove them for q 4.) correct placement of their new electronic ID tags. Insurance: This insurance is with the American Livestock Insurance Company. By signing below you authorize Midland Bull Test to act as your agent for the above listed bulls in the following circumstances: 1 - Submission of any required or requested genetic testing. 2- Requesting information from respective breed associations. 3- Sale and transfer of bulls eligible and authorized to sell. Midland Bull Test reserves the exclusive right to market tissue/ blood samples along with data of performance and efficiency testing for use in genome research.
