info POKER DI COLORI Tra le ultime nate in casa Foscarini ci piace la piccola Binic. Lampada da tavolo dalle dimensioni ridotte, è stata disegnata dalla giovane e talentuosa designer Ionna Vautrin. Presentata sul mercato negli ultimi mesi del 2010 ha suscitato da subito l’interesse del pubblico e dei giornalisti, tanto da vincere il Wallpaper Design Award. Binic è il nome di una cittadina della costa bretone, in Francia; infatti è stato proprio il mare a suggerire la forma di questo prodotto. La Vautrin dice di aver riproposto, semplificandone le linee, le maniche a vento, i sistemi di aerazione utilizzati sulle barche a vela. La base è in ABS, il proiettore in policarbonato, la fonte di illuminazione

A FLUSH OF COLORS We like a latest additions to the Foscarini family is Binic, a small compact table lamp designed by the extremely talented Ionna Vautrin. It was presented to the market at the end of 2010 and immediately attracted the attention of the public and journalists, and was recognized by the Wallpaper Design Award. Binic is the name of a small city on the coast of Brittany in France; the shape of this product was actually inspired by the sea. Ionna Vautrin states that with simplified lines, she designed a lamp inspired by vents, the aeration system used by sailing boats. The base of the lamp is in ABS, the projector is polycarbonate, the light source is a compact 12 Watt fluorescent bulb. However, the exciting feature of Binic is the joy it exudes, expressed through its delightful colors – white, green, cherry red, orange, petrol green, gray – a flush of colors. www.foscarini.com (F. Per rubare meno spazio possibile Christian Vivanco ha pensato a un’applique in metallo con tavolino integrato, da appendere al muro ai lati della testata. Il nome di questo oggetto ibrido è Alux; la stessa parola, in Messico, indica una creatura fantastica, una sorta di elfo che abita le foreste. To occupy as little space as possible, Christian Vivanco designed a metal applique with an integrated night stand. This hybrid creation has been named Alux, which is a sort of elf in the Mexican language, an imaginary creature
