GRATEFULNESS

There are days when I am bursting with good mood, filled with fresh and mountainmoving energy, mentally I engage in the vision of life that I am 100 % sure of and I simply know that it is perfect, unique, sensational and indestructible! But now and then there are days when I am not in the mood at all. Meaning, I am not on disposal neither to me nor to the surroundings – I am mentally worn out and empty. Every little thing distracts me. There is no energy, let alone it would be fresh … The prognosis for the future is imperfect, without sharpness, far from being sensational and fragile. To create a common thread of this writing I must mention at the same time that I have this year already had the opportunity to visit beautiful coastal places and relax myself in the seaside atmosphere. Many times I have relished fresh mountain air. For the first time I have had the opportunity to put my feet on the Scandinavian ground and check temperatures in a downright Finnish sauna. I have rowed for the first time, done stand up paddle boarding and had many other premiere experiences. Also, I have taken part in many unique picnics and gatherings, have eaten and drunk deliciously and spent some wonderful time. I have soaked in sweat on tennis courts and in cycling shoes, paved the way to a new day by jogging enthusiastically. I have read some excellent books, had an opportunity to meet really fascinating people, attended at many stimulating discussions. I have enjoyed in the circle of my family and close friends. I have acquired new new knowledge. working experiences, My better and prettier half has showed a lot of understanding. My health has served me well. My niece came into this world, a new life. I bet you can find yourself in what has been said. In your own way, of course. You have numerous experiences and memories to whichdavidkoprivsek.com you can bow with utmost humility and pay them respect– pat yourself on the shoulder and say: “I am doing fine.” Grab the chair and put your feet flat on the floor because now follows the most important and key question: Why are there still so many days without real energy, so many apathetic and lowspirited periods of 24 hours, accompanied by complaining, whining and pessimism? What’s the catch? There isn’t any. Mostly we are at fault for these “grey” periods because we simply are not (and not often enough) grateful for all the wonderful that already exists on, around and in us (besides just eaten warm meal) – grateful for all daily (even the smallest) miracles. What we lack is a regular and honest ritual of gratefulness. We lack the disciplined and persistent awareness of the good and in this way we bereave ourselves of the quality frame of mind. Modernism leads us to focus exclusively on that what we do not have yet. This is the main source of confusion of modern man who preserves this kind of society and drowns even deeper into the state of obsession, of which main principle is “more”! We drive ourselves and strive for things, influences, power, titles as have never been done before and if there is a trick then it is in the fact that at the very end a manager will be buried next to a garbage collector, the president of the state next to a cleaning lady and the greatest town gigolo next to a beggar. The only thing that can save us from this present human mess is to become serious with gratefulness. Let all the beautiful that we have witnessed today, a week, a month or a year ago flashes before our eyes … and let we send forward these words to those who we are glad to see and to whom we are grateful for their presence that makes our life so much richer. Let we awaken each other and let we not forget that each gesture of this kind can bring us one step forward in our endeavour to create heartfelt and happy world. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. (M.L. King) Stay grateful, stay great!
