Editor’s Letter

Dear Readers,

Advertising

A big January Happy New Year from everyone at Dartford Living! We hope you like the new look of the magazine as David takes over from

We offer amazing value advertising with adverts starting from just £24 per month. The advertising deadline for the next issue is 20th January

Sam on the design of the magazine. As usual this month’s edition is jam packed with lots of local information and local businesses. Please support as many as you can - “use them or lose them!” Don’t forget that we run Dartford Living alongside volunteer members of the local community FOR the local community. Dartford Living is YOUR magazine, the only independently run magazine serving the local area with information, fun, good news and positive local stories! Feel free to get in touch if you would like to write an article for the magazine. If writing is not for you then perhaps you could volunteer to deliver 100 or so magazines to your local roads - you will guarantee your copy of the magazine and get a little exercise as well! We deliver to thousands of homes and businesses in the local area, however if you don’t receive a copy directly through your door, you can pick up a copy from various drop off points. These include Dartford Football Club, numerous local libraries, Darent Valley Hospital, What If... and Stephen Oliver Art Galleries, numerous health centres and various locations at Bluewater including Coffee Republic. The ‘Previous Editions’ section of the Dartford Living website (www. dartfordliving.com) also includes electronic versions of Dartford Living magazine. Additionally, if you email editor@dartfordliving.com we will add you to our newsletter email mailing list and contact you just once a month with an electronic copy of Dartford Living! Nearly 4000 local people already do this!

Until next time, Vijay (and Annie, Bhavesh, David, Dhiren, Elaine, Joanne, Ken, Mark, Nickki, Peter, Richey and the rest of the fantastic Dartford Living volunteer team)

‘For me, a photograph should capture more than just a moment in time, it should convey an emotion, a mood. The warmth of the sunrise that day, or the raw power of the ocean, I want you to feel that. I want to bring you into that experience with me.’ Looking ahead, Johnathan is hoping to begin earning his stripes as a commercial photographer: You can also buy prints of his work. Get in touch with Johnathan by email on j--c@outlook.com and view his online portfolios at j--c.com and instagram.com/jc_

A Sign of Success! By Annabelle Jain

As many parents will know it can be a nightmare trying to decipher what a baby wants based on the odd babble, point or head shake which if misinterpreted can quickly lead to tears and tantrums. Unsurprisingly of course, if no one understood what I wanted and I wasn’t yet capable of getting it for myself then I am sure I would get frustrated as well! This is why it is so useful to provide your little one with another way of letting you know what they want. Baby Sign is a great way of introducing more gestures to help you and your baby communicate. The class is run by Tracey who is qualified in Makaton (you may have seen a certain Cbeebies character with a spotty bag using Makaton sign). Tracey is very friendly and made my son and I feel extremely welcome. The signs are easy to learn and are repeated throughout the class in songs and games, the repetition of which makes them much easier to remember. Each week follows a different theme and since starting the classes I have learned numerous signs from the

signs for family members, to animals and transport. One thing that really interested me about Baby Sign is that Baby Sign is said to help increase your baby’s IQ by 10-12 points although I understand that research is on-going as to the effect that baby sign has on the development of a baby’s brain but it is thought that sign helps build a child’s vocabulary which in turn will help with school as they grow up. I love the time my son and I spend at Baby Sign and it is great to see him making new friends and learning new skills, especially when it helps me understand what he wants. The only thing I wish is that I found it sooner! Tracey runs Singalong Baby Sign classes for 0-2 year olds at various locations across Kent including West Kingsdown. If you would like any further information about Baby Sign then you can view the website at www.babysign.org.uk or contact Tracey by email at babysign@btinternet.com

History made at the Dartford Crossing

On the 30th November 2014 history was made at the Dartford Crossing as all payment for the crossing was no longer taken at the toll booths. The roadworks will take 6 months to complete but once they are finished, for the first time at the crossing, there will no toll booths and traffic will be ‘free flowing’. Dartford Living looks back at the history of the tunnel and how the new system works. The first tunnel was opened in 1963 to allow traffic to get from Kent to Essex and vice versa via one lane each way. This soon exceeded capacity so another tunnel was constructed and opened in 1980. This allowed traffic to use one tunnel northbound and one southbound.

It was decided that a new approach to the congestion was needed and plans were announced for a London congestion charge type payment scheme at the crossing that would allow the booths to be removed and the traffic to ‘flow freely’. The new system is called Dart Charge. The new system uses ANPR technology to read the vehicle number plates and charges the vehicle for every corssing made. instead of vehicles having to stop at the toll booths to pay. Dart Charge Dart Charge is the new name of the charge at the Dartford Crossing. The charge can either be paid via the online portal www.gov.uk/dartcharge , via phone or at retail outlets. The charge needs to be paid either before the journey or upto midnight of the day after the journey. If the charge is not paid a £70 fine will be incurred (this will be reduced to £35 if paid within 14days or increased to £105 if not paid within 28 days) Charges

The charges at the tunnel have increased from the 30th November. Cars now pay £2.50, Vans £3.00 and LGV’s £6.00, Drivers with a Dart Charge account will save 1/3 on crossings. Theimprovements local residents discount still applies but there are New payment arrangements and road The third crossing (The QE2 Bridge) was constructed and 2 options. The first option is £10 that allows you 50 free trips, the congestion the Dartford opened in 1991toto ease allow extra capacity at the at crossing. second options isCrossing. £20 and allows unlimited trips over the crossing. In recent years the crossing has become a regular traffic hotspot with wellarrangements over 140,000 vehicles using it daily. Ways to pay Dart Charge: New payment

• You can no longer pay the Dartford Crossing charge at the barriers.

Dartford Living Meets.........

In May 2014 Avtar was sworn in as the 36th Mayor of Dartford. It has now been over 6 months since the current Mayor Avtar Sandhu MBE took over the office for his year term as the Mayor of Dartford. The Mayor has lived in Dartford for 45 years and has a longstanding interest in local issues. He has represented Newtown ward since his election to the Borough Council in 2011. The Mayor began his school life at St. Alban’s Road Infants, York Road Primary and then his secondary school years were spent at the Downs School, now known as the Leigh Academy. He is a married family man with a son and daughter. Dartford Living managed to squeeze in a short Q and A session in his busy schedule to find out more about him and how he sees how his term has gone so far and his plans for the future What is your greatest achievement so far as Mayor I don’t believe that anything can be my greatest achievement as what I do is about the local community. Each of the things that I have been able to do is great in its own respect. I consider myself to be privileged in having the option of meeting as many local residents, groups and businesses as possible, my role as Mayor is all about shouting about the Dartford Borough and those who add value to it. What did you set out to achieve in your year as mayor? Do you feel you are succeeding? I set out to allocate the 31 charities that I am representing as the Mayor with a business so that by the end of my term they will have a business to represent them and help them in their fundraising. I have also been helping to connect businesses and to help raise awareness of the local businesses. Just this week I have been able open two new businesses in Dartford - Peacocks and a Security firm. Why did you want to become mayor in the first place? I never set out to become the Mayor. I was asked a number of years ago but it was not the right time for me. When it came about again I could not turn it down. It is a great way to serve the local community, which is what I set out to do when I got involved in the local council. It enables me to give something back to the local community. Why are you so pationate about Dartford? I am proud to say that during my year as mayor they are my people, my community, my businesses and I am very proud and also protective of them. I will do what I can to help them all. You are a very active in the community with a lot of people commenting that you are the most active mayor that they have known. Is this something you set out to do? I believe that that community is a great asset to the council so I am doing everything that I can to help the local community. When I first came into office I told my PA that if you read about an event in the local community and I have not been invited to find out why as I believe that every event deserves to be given the official status that I can bring in attending the event. In my first 6 months of being in office I have attended 372 events (not that I am trying to break any records)

The Mayor of Dartford Avtar Sandhu MBE A word from the Mayor I would like to wish Dartford Living and all its readers a Happy New Year. I would like our community to unite and make Dartford the best in the country. Thank you to the community that has supported me over the last 8 months that I have been in office so far. It has been a fantastic time in office and really seeing what Dartford is all about. I hope the community supports me in rasing money for the 31 outstanding causes . The mayor is supporting 31 charities and community groups in his term as mayor. These are listed below. The Mayor organises a number of fund rasing activities throughput the year. Mayor runs the local parkrun by Steve Smith - Dartford Harriers Chairman

Dartford Harriers AC would like to extend a really big thank you to Avtar Sandhu, Mayor of Dartford for helping us promote our Half Marathon event 15th March 2015, 09.30 hours. On the morning of 22nd November our Mayor of Dartford and Andrea Green (Dartford Half Marathon current ladies record holder) set of to run our local parkrun. The Mayor said a few words at the beginning of the 18th Dartford parkrun to help promote a half marathon that has been running for now 39 years.

A great run from our Mayor of Dartford in under 45 minutes wearing our own promotional t-shirt seemed very happy as he crossed the line. As for Andrea Green she crossed the line 3rd in around 19 minutes to turn back the time to her glory days when she was first lady over the line in the Dartford Half Marathon.

So 39 years in which many, many runners have completed an event which has challenged many a person including a world record holder in Steve Ovett, This event is longest consecutive running Half Marathon event in Kent and we march forward to our 40th consecutive year. Our event has moved into March to accommodate a lot more runners that are training for either London or Brighton. it also means we can attract more local runners unaffiliated to an event which has always run in the heat of July. Dartford Half Marathon are also making very positive changes to previous races by working alongside two charities, Demelza and EllenorLions Hospice. This introduction will give both charities up to 20 free places each to assist them in training for London and Brighton Marathons. We are pleased to work alongside such important charities to enhance their fantastic work with South East London and Kent helping children and adults during difficult times of their lives. But overall a great morning and a big thank you to both Andrea Green and the Mayor of Dartford Avtar Sandhu for assisting our efforts in raising awareness of the change of date for the Dartford Half Marathon to March 15th 2015.

The Dartford parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am in Dartford’s central park. The run starts outside the Dartford Harriers Clubhouse. The parkrun is free. All you need to do is register online and take along your printed barcode so that you can get a time for your run. more information - www.parkrun.org.uk/dartford

In association with

#dartfordhour was setup in November 2013 by local business, DS Brochure Webdesign, to get local businesses connecting and networking in the hope of increasing awareness of the businesses and, hopefully,in turn increasing business for the participants. Dartford Hour is a Twitter chat, this is very much like any other online chat in that online users gather at a specified time to discuss certain topics or issues (Dartford Hour is specifically for local businesses and organisatipons to interact, promote their business and make conections with other local businesses in the hope of increasing their business). A twitter chat takes place on twitter.com and to take part all you need to do is include the relevantr hashtag, in this case #dartfordhour, in your tweet at the time of the tweet chat (8:30-9:30pm) for everyone else to notice then reply to the other tweets that are sent, retweetposts that other people have tweeted and start conversations. The best tweet chats contain minimal advertising from companies and a lot of conversations between the companies participating. Each twitter chat is for a specific purpose. #dartfordhour was setup to create a platform for local businesses to interact with other local businesses and promote themselves. It is also a good platform for local charities and community groups to make people in the local area aware of events they have coming up. The #dartfordhour Twitter chat takes place every Thursday from 8:30-9:30pm and has a steady following of businesses including @leemechanic,

Dartford Living

@ahadifashion, @dswebdesign, @DRT with lots of businesses taking part as and when they can. Recently Dartford Living has partnered with #dartfordhour to increase awareness of the hour and also to help promote businesses who advertise in the magazine. For companies that work in Bexley there is also #bexleyhour that runs every Thursday from 4-5pm Why not log into both? How to take part: 1.Create a Twitter account (if you don’t already have one) 2.Log onto Twitter between 8:30-9:30pm 3.Introduce yourself and quote the #dartfordhour hashtag 4.Look for other participants using the seach function on Twitter (#dartfordhour) 5.(Most importantly) Retweet the tweets in the hour to your followers. When users retweet another user’s tweets it gets seen by a new set of followers immediately. Your friendly introduction and details of your business could be seen by thousands in just a few minutes.

We have just moved into the new Community Centre in Slade Green, and now have a large ball pit as well as climbing frame, home & book corner, bikes & ride - ons, puzzles and small play . The facilities are fabulous ! We do not operate a booking system, for the convenience of our families - they can just turn up and stay as long as they wish. We do refreshments, and families are welcome to bring packed lunches. Our first session is free - after that the charges are : under 6

How to Set Up a Charity for a Loved One There are many reasons why someone might want to set up a charity in the name a loved one. Perhaps a family member is battling an illness, or maybe they have passed away and you want to raise money for people who are suffering from something similar. Setting up a charity can mean saving lives, so if you are eager to start fundraising and raising awareness about certain illnesses and diseases, there are steps you can take to get things moving today. Who Will Benefit You will need to find trustees for your charity. You will usually need three at least. It will need to offer ‘charity purposes for the public benefit’. It will need a name and a structure, and you will also need to create a governing document. This is something that charity lawyers can help you with. Setting up a charity can be a complex process, which is why so many people

2828

look for professionals who can help them with their endeavours. Demonstrate Your Purposes Your charity needs to have a strong purpose if it is to be eligible for charitable status. You will need to convince the Charity Commission that your organisation is a charity and find out whether it will quality for charity relief. Showing what your charity’s purposes are means that anyone joining, benefitting from or supporting it can get a clear idea on why it was set up and who it will help. Your purposes show what your aims are, how you plan to achieve them and who will benefit. Get help from charity solicitors like Thomson Snell and Passmore from Dartford and Tunbridge Wells if you are serious about setting up a charity and need help writing documents and communication with organisations like HMRC and The Charity Commission. The stronger your case, the bigger the chances are of your plans being a success.

Tips for small businesses Each month Paul Conradi, Chartered Accountant at Conradi Morrison & Co, will be giving us his professional advice for small businesses.. It is now January 2015 and there is only one thing I would like to say to all directors, proprietors of small businesses and entrepreneurs, renting out buy-to-let properties:

COMPLETE YOUR TAX RETURNS Returns filed late by just one day or more will generate a fine of £100. This fine is payable even though you may be due a tax refund. If you are making a loss as a self-employed person, you can claim the losses against other income and if you are making losses on rental income, you will be able to carry forward the losses to future years. The fact that you do not receive a tax return from HMRC does not mean that should not complete a tax return. It is your responsibility to inform HMRC that you are liable for tax and need to complete a tax return. I list below the full penalties for not completing a tax return:Failure

Penalty

Return filed late by 1 day or more

£100

Applies even if no tax payable or tax paid on time

Return outstanding 3 months

£10/day

Maximum 90 days (£900) from filing date

Return outstanding 6 months

Subject to minimum penalty of £300 from filing date

Return outstanding 12 months

Subject to minimum penalty of £300from filing date

As your local Accountant, I would be very glad to meet you and discuss the possibility of tax planning in your business. For more information, please see page two of this month’s Dartford Living and feel free to call me on 01322 278188 to arrange a meeting without charge.

YOU, 2015

F I T N E S

Without repeating the usual January advice about goal setting, a new exercise regime, whatever new diet is trendy at the moment; I’m going to attempt to give you the basics (again) in hope that this year, rather than starting some crazy new plan that you’ll never stick to, you’ll just make a few small changes and focus on being consistent with them. Changing your entire lifestyle takes time, and if you try to do it all at once or too quickly it’s a recipe for disaster. So, what you need to do is simplify and streamline. Attack the weight loss demon from two angles. Firstly, eliminate the junk. Surprisingly, most people don’t gain weight from eating too much; but from eating the wrong things, at the wrong times. So step one is to eliminate all the processed, sugary foods and drinks (don’t forget drinks!). For the time being, don’t worry about calories, fats, points or sins. Just change from convenience foods to fresh, single ingredient foods. If it’s got a list of ingredients on the packaging (especially ingredients you can’t even pronounce), don’t eat/drink it. Don’t worry for now if that seems like it’s not a big enough change. If you can do this, and stick with it, you’ll notice a difference. Secondly, exercise. This is another one people tend to overdo and burn out. If you already exercise regularly, DO NOT increase how much you do, just increase the intensity that you’re working at.

If you’re not already exercising regularly, do no more than 3 workouts a week to begin with, but again, work HARD when you do them. Keep them short and high intensity; always under an hour. I’m purposely keeping this simple because most people overthink or overdo things at the start of their program, only to end up getting sick of it and giving up, or just failing. DON’T over-complicate things. Make a positive change (no matter how small) and be consistent with it, and you’ll have improved your health. Once you’re consistent (that word again!) with that change, make another positive change. And repeat. Gradually, you’ll be improving your healthy lifestyle with almost no effort. One small change is easier to stick to than multiple drastic changes. One step at a time and this time next year, you won’t be “dieting” or starting a new regime – you’ll have it covered! Yes, exercise and nutrition can get a LOT more complicated than this, but the simplest changes are often the most powerful; don’t get sucked in to marketing hype and magazine diets. Keep It Simple. Local Sports News

What A Weekend! by Jamie-Lee Head Working as the Social Media Apprentice at Dartford FC for nearly two years and having never been to a game of football before my placement started, I have now been sucked into the hype of it all and would consider myself a true DFC fan. That being said, although I’ve attended 95% of the league games at Princes Park I have only been to two away games this season. Lucky for me both of them were local derbies; one at Welling United back in September and the other at Bromley in the FA Cup 1st Round Proper. After getting the buzz from a game away from home and the atmosphere it created, I wanted to go all out and experience what it would be like to sit on a coach for hours on end, and travel all the way up the country to watch a 90 minute game of football. To any sane person that sounds like a mad idea, but for those of us who want to support our local team there was nothing to think about; I was going to Bradford City. Whilst the majority of the supporters will have travelled all over the country to a variety of different stadiums of different sizes within the Conference League, this was the first time that myself and some others will have experienced a stadium on a much larger scale and from the Football League. With the opportunities of progression through the rounds that cup games bring to a Non-League club like Dartford FC it creates new and amazing experiences for not only the players, management and staff but also the supportive fans that travel miles and miles to see their local team play. I take my hat off to those who go to every away game in a season! Once inside the stadium, Mick Austin along with the Back Seat Boys and Girls organised a tribute to those who sadly lost their lives to a fire on Saturday 11 May 1985, killing 56 and injuring at least 265. Flowers and a DFC scarf were presented and laid at the memorial at Bradford City’s Valley Parade. On behalf of everyone I would like to thank Mick and the Supporters Association for organising such a kind gesture.

years! Everyone knew that it was going to be a tough challenge for the players on the pitch but they all poured their heart and soul into the game and couldn’t have been asked for any more than they gave. Although the score was not in our favour at half time, spirits were still high and we were all positive that Tony Burman’s team could pull something back. A further two goals went against us at the start of the second half and Bradford were positive that they had secured their FA Cup Third Round place. Dartford were determined to make a stand and following a corner at our end of the pitch, Rory McAuley raced the ball to the Bantam’s end and crossed it over to Lee Noble in the box. It was like I was already watching it as a highlight on TV; without hesitation he knocked it backwards using the heel of his foot and the stadium stared as we watched the ball roll in slow motion into the left corner of the net. It was one of the most surreal moments I have ever experienced. Not only were us Dartford fans cheering our hearts out at our only goal of the game, but to see Bradford supporters stand on their feet and clap for their opponents it really showed true sportsmanship and is something I will never forget. The game finished with the scoreboard reading 4-1 to the Bantams, but even after being knocked out of the FA Cup the atmosphere from the Dartford end was still in good spirits. The players had given their all throughout the game and I was more than happy to stand and cheer them after their performance along with the rest of the fans. Tony Burman and his team thanked everyone for coming and supporting without saying a single word; a sincere smile at their audience and a round of applause was more than words could say. The supporters’ coaches arrived back at Princes Park not long after 9pm and I don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t happy to get home as quickly as they could after a really long day. Before I went to the game I said that I would be happy, no matter what the score, as long as we got one goal so I was so pleased to have taken up the opportunity to go and be part of the exciting experience and in the FA Cup, but there’s always next year! COYD!

Now that it was officially past 12 noon, it was finally an acceptable time for all the rest of us supporters to join the already merry gang to drink a toast to the Black and White army before kick-off. Those who travelled on the coaches were joined by a further 200+ fans who had made their own way up to Bradford, whether it have been the day before or that morning. Walking out into the stands and taking it all in was an experience one can only describe as mesmerizing. Not only the size of the stadium but also the crowds that were pouring in were a sight that as a Dartford fan I’m not used to at Princes Park. Even despite the ice cold winds, the spirit from the away side of Valley Parade overshadowed the home, as the cheers from the 400 fans echoed throughout the stadium while Bradford’s supporters sat back and watched in amazement of the backing that a small team from down south had brought along with them. Kick-off. The whistle blew and the action began. The Darts were only 90 minutes away from creating a history that they hadn’t experienced in 80

Bav’s Sporting Comment Log onto Google and type in the name of your favourite club along with the word “transfer” and the amount of total rubbish spouted by some of these sites is amazing. The New Year gives life to a new football January transfer window, which is being opened hesitantly by managers as January doesn’t lend itself to bargain buys, and new players have limited time to make a difference in the current season. It’s always interesting to see the panic buys... I expect a few of the bottom performing premier league clubs will try to spend their way out of trouble... a very high risk strategy!

Upcoming events in January include:

19 to 1 Feb: TENNIS - Australian Open 11 to 18: SNOOKER – Masters 17 to 28: FOOTBALL – Africa Cup of Nations

If you’re a certain age you are probably all misty-eyed about the FA Cup. I’m not that age and find myself each year getting more that way inclined. There are a lot of hardened cynics out there and unsurprisingly most of them support one of four clubs. Me, I love the Cup, and a weekend of so-called giants tripping up over their shoelaces is a delight to behold.

Book Review

A Little Bit of Dartford’s History Please Don’t Let Me Go By Dartford Resident, Shirley Sargeant This is the true story about John Fenton and his harrowing childhood in the late 1950s. He lived in London with his loving mother and violent father. His family were poor and he was bullied at school, he didn’t fit in. He witnessed his mother getting beaten up by his aggressive father on many occasion and finally aged 13 he tried to protect his mother by threatening his father with a knife. His father took him to the police, then the court sent him to a juvenile home for two weeks. He loved it there away from his father and he wasn’t bullied. When he went back to court and said he loved the home they thought he hadn’t learned his lesson and sent him to St Vincent’s ‘approved’ home for wayward boys for three years. The home was run by monks that punished the boys with violence and seemed to take great pleasure in disciplining the boys. They were caned until they bled. He was also sexually assaulted by one of the older boys. John soon learned to defend himself from the monks and school bullies with more violence.

John was an intelligent boy and he developed a passion for reading. He has one good friend Bernard and one of the monks, Brother Delaney showed John kindness at times and gave him cigarettes but didn’t get the caning stopped. Throughout his time at St Vincent’s, John stayed faithful to his mum and his promise to her to look after himself and his Catholic faith helped him through. Before his three years were up he did try to mastermind a plan to show the outside world what was going on inside St Vincent’s. Unfortunately it backfired but ironically Brother de Montford who ran the home decided John should be sent away to another home in Essex. Luckily for him he was shown compassion and was taught how to behave in difficult circumstances without resorting to violence. He wasn’t there long enough but he was a quick learner. He has written the book to tell the world about the awful time and to try and have caning stopped. At no time do you feel he is trying to get sympathy. The book is truly shocking and sad but somehow you cannot help but like John Fenton. Anyone with an interest in Dartford’s history should read this book. Other places in and around Dartford are also mentioned. I do not read often but I could not put book this book down. It has left a lasting impression on me and many others.

Five WOW Facts!

Solution

Door To Hell is a 70 metre wide crater near the town of Derwaza in Turkmenistan.

1 2

In 1971, geologists drilling for gas deposits uncovered a huge underground cavern, which caused the ground over it to collapse. This hole created, is referred to by the locals as the Door To Hell. To avoid poisonous gases from escaping, they decided to fire it and let the gas burn. In April 2010, the president of Turkmenistan ordered the fire to be quelled and the hole to be sealed, but they miscalculated the amount of gas that was trapped and the crater continues to burn to this day.

3

From its burning mouth pours the stench of sulphur, fouling the local air.

4

It glows day and night, the leaping flames nested are so that they produce a hazy glow which can be seen from several miles away.

5

No one knows how long the gas will burn. It’s a waste of natural resources, but hey, they created quite a phenomenon out of it!

The student is now fearless against the staff and does not care about any punishment. Thankfully, majority of the young people in my school are absolutely lovely but there are a handful of Parents in each year group who feel that their child can do no wrong. Your child needs to take responsibility for their actions. It is a big deal for staff to call, listen to both sides of view. Students do ‘bend the truth’ to get themselves out of trouble. Staff don’t want the hassle to call you but they will if your child’s behaviour/attitude has been unacceptable. By taking your child’s side only, you are allowing your child to get away with whatever they want and that will only encourage the monster within to emerge.

Parents are too quick to believe their own child before getting both sides of the story. This allows the child to continue with the poor behaviour and they don’t Support your school! realise they are being manipulated by their own child!
