Thursday – Saturday

April 30th – May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. Student Community Center, Dragonetti Auditorium

THE DEVILS by John Whiting is a profound commentary on religious hysteria, political persecution and the corrupt marriage of church and state. Originally mounted by the Royal Shakespeare Company, then produced on Broadway, it is set in 17th century France. Father Urbain Grandier uses his power to protect the city of Loudin from destruction at the hands of the establishment. Soon, he stands accused of the demonic possession of Sister Jeanne of The Angels, whose obsession with him fuels the hysteria that sweeps through her convent. *Intended for Mature Audiences
