September is Jazz Music Month! Start the semester in Jazz-style with vibrant performances by the outstanding musicians of CCM’s music faculty. Sip the smooth tones of the polyrhythms, syncopation and the swung note with refreshments via coffee bar style reception during intermission. Halloween Happenings

October 30 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Student Community Center Lobby It's October and magic is in the air. Come one, come all and join the Halloween fun as storytellers and musicians get us in the Halloween spirit. Trick or Treat in our Student Community Center. Make a special holiday craft and sing along to some seasonal favorites. Admission FREE

It’s a “Jolly Holiday” with Mary! Enjoy all the splendor that is Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s whimsical and delightful musical production of “Mary Poppins.” Smile as chimney sweeps dance about, statues come to life and characters take to the sky. THE GREAT GATSBY Thursday – Saturday

November 19 – 21 at 7:30 p.m. Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age comes to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, a Simon Levy adaptation.

The County College of Morris Chamber Choir and Wind Ensemble bring in the sounds of the season with faculty and student performances. A New Music Technology Building

The new addition will include:

A grant of $10 million from the Building Our Future Bond Act is helping to create a 16,000-square-foot, two-story addition to house CCM’s Music Technology and related programs.


• Faculty offices, student areas, instrument storage, etc.

• An experimental theater – theater in-theround – that will serve as a hands-on classroom with a recording studio and seating for 100 – 125 students

• A second instructional recording studio • Scene shop and dressing rooms, multiple student practice rooms

• Two standard classrooms, electronic music/ aural comprehension classroom, piano lab, a large multipurpose classroom

• Support technology and science programs by providing additional space for the college’s Performing Arts programs, as well as diversity and humanities general education courses

The Dragonetti Auditorium is home to CCM’s performing arts, concerts, education through the arts, CCM Shakespeare & Company as well as many musical and dance productions. Dollars raised from the Adopt-A-Chair campaign go directly to support the performing arts at CCM.

Adopt an individual seat, an entire row or more in the Dragonetti Auditorium. Each adopted chair will permanently display a plaque that recognizes the donor for this special tribute to the performing arts at CCM. Plaques may also recognize an individual or occasion (anniversary, graduation etc.) or can be inscribed to memorialize a loved one.
