Gilbert Lujan Meza June 16, 1966 – July 25, 2013

Gilbert Lujan Meza, 47, of Winkelman went with God Thursday, July 25, 2013. Gilbert was born on June 16, 1966 in Kearny, the son of Albert and Angelina Meza. He was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a certified electrician at Freeport McMoRan. He enjoyed golfing, baseball, basketball and collecting baseball cards. Gilbert also helped coach for a local softball team. He loved spending time with family

and friends and was always there to help someone or teach them new things. Anyone who had personally met Gilbert could say he was a bright, loving young man with a big future and a big heart. Gilbert leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Denice Meza; his two daughters, Cara and Ashley Meza; brothers, Albert Meza Jr. and Edward Meza (Denise); sister, Lanette Stuart (David Stuart); and his parents,

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates. July 1 Computer fraud was reported from a residence on Mtn. View. A cell phone was reported lost. Citizen assist with a bicycle registration. A citation was issued for no drivers license in possession. July 2 A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation. Citizen assist with an open door on the 400 block of Essex. Criminal damage was reported at the Hand Me Up Shop. An animal detail other than dog bite was investigated. July 3 Agency assist to HPD with a call in Winkelman. Citizen assist with two requests for fingerprinting. Harassment by phone (text) was reported. A verbal warning was issued

for a headlight violation. July 4 A citation for speed was issued. July 5 Theft was reported on Airport Rd. Two lawn ornaments were reported missing. Citizen assist with an AC problem. Fans were located to temporarily help the situation. Sexual assault was reported at a residence across the river. Case was turned over to Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. An animal detail other than dog bite was investigated. July 6 A juvenile problem concerning a cell phone was reported at Hubbard Park. A verbal warning was issued for loud music. Suspicious activity concerning a possible scam was reported. July 7 Following a hit and run report, citations were issued for a stop sign violation, failure to show proof of insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. July 8 A written warning for speed was issued. July 9 A welfare check was requested on the 100 block of Johnston. A credit card was found and turned into the police department.
