Lynn Cunningham Appliance--It's Not Just Business, It's Personal

By Robin Barrett Lynn Cunningham Jr. grew up in his father’s family owned appliance, sales, and service business.. Lynn opened his own appliance service business in 1987 and he expanded the business into sales by opening a store in Longmont in 1992. Lynn works to keep their appliance business competitive with the big box stores in pricing as well as the number of different manufactures they carry. The great thing about shopping locally with Lynn's business, however, is you get more than a new appliance. You also get every part, hose and connector that you need, along with training to operate the appliance correctly. And maybe most importantly, you develop a long term relationship with a professional who understands your appliance. Honesty and great customer service is the back bone of their business. Lynn says, "It’s not just about the appliance business, anyone can sell appliances. But not everyone can provide the personalized service that we do. It’s not just business… It’s personal!" These are just a few of the things that Lynn Cunningham Appliance provides every day to make your experience personal:

Calling All Pet Owners

By Robin Barrett Do you have precious little ones, four legged ones that is, that you would love to leave in the hands of a professional from time to time. Well let us introduce to you to Happy Tails Pet Sitting and Services, LLC. . Happy Tails is a pet sitting and services business that is owned and operated by Carole Davis. Carole is a native Coloradoan, a veteran of the US Air Force, and a twenty year resident of Mead. Because of her love for animals, in 2000, Carole attended Pima Medical Institute for Veterinary Assistant. Carole is a proud member of Pet Sitters International, and Pet Sitters Associates, LLC and is an A+ member of the Better Business Bureau of Northern Colorado and Wyoming. After graduating from PIMA with honors, Carole went to work as a Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Manager for a veterinary hospital in Longmont for 3years. While there, Carole had an opportunity to pet sit. She found she loved being able to interact with the pets in their own environment. So in November of 2003, Carole opened Happy Tails Pet and Services, LLC. Carole has found out over the years that there are many pets that do not respond well in a kennel environment. So that's where she comes in. She has devoted all of her time to her business. She says, "If you do what you love and enjoy it, you will never work another day in your life." Carole has found that to be true for herself. She has been able to care for many different types of animals such as dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, pig, a bottle fed calf, ferreters, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, rodents, small reptiles, and a 80 pound African Spurred Tortoise, hermit crabs, sugar-gliders, fresh and salt-water aquariums and outdoor ponds. As you can see she is not afraid to take on any animal. Pet sitting is about trust. Pet owners are no different than mothers or fathers. They love their pets as much as a parent would love their child or children. It is very rewarding for Carole to have pet owners trust her with their pets and homes. She definitely creates a bond with the pet and the pet's owner so that the pet owners can be away from their pet(s) with ease and not worry about their beloved pet’s care. In addition Carole can provide the following additional services: z Indoor/Outdoor Plant Watering, Mail and Newspaper Collection z Poop Scooping, Trash & Recycling Set Out and Retrieval z Medication Administration, Basic Sidewalk Clearing if it Snows z Walking and Play Time and Mid-Day Potty Breaks By providing these additional services, Carole's clients are able to be worry free regarding their pets and homes. She provides reliable quality pet care in and around Mead-Longmont-HygieneBerthoud. Carole’s Office hours are 8am to 8pm. Happy Tails hours are from 6am through 9am and 6 pm through 9 pm. Clint moved from Troy, PA to Colorado in 1986. That’s when Kuyper's Shoe Repair started in Broomfield, CO., formerly known as Northside shoe Repair." In 2005,Clint relocated his business to Mead, CO where he resides with his family. Kuypers Shoe Repair is owned and operated by Clint and Rett Kuyper. He does all the "fixin" and she does all the administration to include all the emails. Kuypers Shoe Repair has grown remarkably with the help of the internet. Clint does a lot of shipping all over the United States, especially to and from towns that do not have a shoe repair shop. You can get the repair order form from his website and ship the item(s) to Kuypers for the repairs needed. Clint would like people to know that their boots and shoes can be re-soled and heeled or repaired, even cleaned and conditioned for a fraction of the cost for a new pair. Kuyper’s Leathers has a local and national shoe repair reputation for specializing in difficult repairs other shops may not be able to accomplish. Clint repairs all types of men’s and women’s boots and shoes from cowboy and motorcycle boots to dress and dance shoes. “My husband’s work boots are costly and until we found Kuyper’s Leather, we simply discarded those worn out, expensive boots. Now we have Clint fix all our shoes including rehealing my Harley boots,” says Kelly Martindale, owner of the Carbon Valley and Town of Mead Consumer Reports. “When you find a good pair of shoes or boots that are really comfortable, Kuper’s Leather can make them last and last.” Although mail orders are a part of the business the majority of business comes from the North Denver area.
