AIDB baccalaureate service set for May 28 The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind’s 2009 baccalaureate service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, at Hawkins Chapel on the

Alabama School for the Deaf campus. The ceremony marks a new beginning for 32 gradu-

ates representing AIDB’s three schools; Alabama School for the Blind, Alabama School for the Deaf and Helen Keller School of Alabama.

Alabama School for the Blind Alabama School for the Blind will have commencement at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, in the Oliver Hall Auditorium. The speaker for the event will be former Alabama School for the Blind principal and current AIDB Board of Trustee member Ronald Garrett. Steffon Sharray Middleton of Birmingham is this year’s valedictorian and Stephanie Ashley Wood is this year’s salutatorian. The other candidates

Helen Keller School Commencement exercises for the Helen Keller School of Alabama will be Thursday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m. at Wood Hall Auditorium. The speaker will be Dr. Thomas R. Bice, deputy state superintendent of education for Instructional Services. Candidates for gradua-
