Drew Ford is the son of Bruce and Tina Ford of Talladega and the grandson of Bob and Janice Ford of Talladega and Charles Hale and Mary Medlock of Lincoln. Ford’s awards and honors include: Highest Average in Geometry, Highest Average in World History, Most Likely to Make a Difference, JSU Emerging Leader. He was president of the Beta Club, a member of FCA, SGA, First Priority, MClub, and he played varsity baseball for two years. His church activities include Student Choir, Adult Choir, Ensemble, and Worship Band (The Stand). He plans to attend Jacksonville State University on a Faculty Scholars Scholarship and major in physical therapy. Most importantly, he plans to continue to worship at Munford Baptist Church and strengthen his relationship with Jesus Christ. Jordan Alldredge is the son of John and JoAnn Alldredge of Oxford and the grandson of Johnny and Rachel Alldredge of Munford. Alldredge received the Academic Award of Excellence, Highest Agriscience Average, had perfect attendance, was a member of the A Honor Roll, FFA, Senior Beta Club, and he played football. He is in a CO-OP program with the Anniston Army Depot that will pay for college at Gadsden State Community College for an Industrial Automation Certificate, which will lead to full-time employment. Laura Strickland is the daughter of Matt and Holli Strickland of Munford and the granddaughter of John and Sue Adcock of Anniston and Bob and Sue Strickland of Munford. Strickland received the Highest Average in English (two times), Highest Average in Humanities, was chosen Miss MHS, was a member of the marching and concert bands, Senior Beta Club, Key Club, Tri-M, and “Lion’s Roar” yearbook staff. She was the drum major, flute section leader, and first chair flute in the band. She plans to attend Jacksonville State University on an Academic Scholarship and an AOD Federal Credit Union Scholarship and major in English Education, teach middle school for a number of years and then pursue a doctorate in English and teach at a collegiate level at the University of Alabama. C.J. Vick is the son of Don Vick and Tina Benson of Munford and the grandson of Marion “Tink” and Marcia Vick of Sylacauga and Kyle and Dianne Benson of Childersburg. Vick was a member of the Munford High School Marching Lions for six years and president his senior year, honor bands (20072010), Senior Beta Club, and Tri-M. He plans to attend Jack-

sonville State University on a Faculty Scholars Scholarship and major in nursing and minor in psychology. Most important to him, he plans to continue his life in supporting a family, worshipping God and working toward a great future.

Munford High School will hold commencement exercises for 106 seniors at 7 p.m. Thursday at Holcombe Field. Baccalaureate services will be at 2 p.m. today at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Summa cum laude graduates are Emily Lakey, Jessica Trickett, Briana Gregory, Drew Ford, Jordan Alldredge, Laura Strickland and C.J. Vick. Emily Lakey is the daughter of Rusty and Karen Lakey of Munford and the granddaughter of Betty Lakey of Munford and Leola Hooper of Munford. She is the sister of Lucas Lakey. Lakey was a member of the All System Academic Team, A Honor Roll, Senior Beta Club (president), Key Club (president, vicepresident), yearbook staff (editor-in-chief ), Senior Hall of Fame, M-Club, SGA (senior class vice-president), received Academic Letters, Highest Average in American History 10 and 11, English 10, Spanish 2, Computer 1 and 2 and Parenting & Child Dynamics, was chosen Ms. MHS Good Citizen, and was a junior varsity cheerleading captain, a varsity cheerleader for three years and an All-American Cheerleader nominee. She plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in political science, attend law school and pursue a career in law and, eventually, politics. Jessica Trickett is the daughter of John and Jenny Trickett of Munford and the granddaughter of Mike and Diane Long of Oxford and Jim and Jane Rollins of Talladega. Trickett’s awards and honors include: A Honor Roll (four years), Academic Letter award, Highest Average in Chemistry, American History Post 1900 and Algebra II, was selected Prom Queen, was a JSU Leadership Day representative, was chosen Senior Class Who’s Who “Most Likely to Succeed,” was co-editor of the yearbook staff, vice president of the Beta Club, member of First Priority, choir, Munford Baptist Student Ministry, was Munford High School’s macot, “Roary,” and she plays the guitar. She plans to attend Gadsden State Community College on a GSCC Ambassador Program Scholarship and a Coosa Valley Electric Company Scholarship and then transfer to a four-year institution to complete her degree in Secondary English Education. She also plans to serve as a music minister. Briana Rebecca Gregory is the daughter of Charles and Edith Gregory of Anniston and the granddaughter of James and Mary Burton and Henry and Rebecca Gregory, all of Montgomery. Gregory’s awards and honors include: Academic Letter Award, Highest Average in English, Who’s Who “Best Dressed,” was recently invited to join Gadsden State Community College’s Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, is a Dual Enrollment Student, Early Graduate (1 year). She was president of the Student Government Association, secretary of the Senior Beta Club; is a member of Victory Headquarters Christian Center, media specialist, teen choir, member of Tee-Aka Youth Group sponsored by the Iota Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and played volleyball. She plans to attend Tuskegee University on an Academic Scholarship and major in biology and pursue a career as an optometrist. She received scholarships from the Talladega County Education Foundation, the Talladega/ Sylacauga Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Phi Alpha Fraternity, and the Talladega Alumni Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
