He has received numerous awards and accolades including two Brit Awards, two World Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, an MTV European Music Award and five Grammy nominations. His latest album “Some Kind of Trouble” starts a new chapter. Produced mainly by Steve Robson, key tracks include ''So Far Gone”, “Superstar” and “Stay the Night”; where Blunt joined songwriting forces with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder. Indeed, as much as he loves making new music, for Blunt, the ultimate joy comes from playing the songs live and sharing them with an audience. And with a new tour starting in 2011, he's looking forward to getting back out there. As the recording process comes to a close, he's waiting to climb back on the bus. “Put the album out and get me on tour,” he says. “We're going to have the time of our lives playing these songs.” When Elvis Blue found out he has been chosen to support James Blunt he responded:

He will be performing on Wednesday 24th August at the ICC Durban Arena, 26th August at the Coca-Cola Dome Johannesburg, Sunday 28th August at the Vodacom NMMU Indoor Arena Port Elizabeth and now in Cape Town on 30th August at Grand Arena, GrandWest. Elvis Blue, winner of South African idols 2010, started his music career early, singing in school choirs and busking. After a stint overseas as a street musician, Elvis returned to South Africa where he decided to study contemporary music. While living in George he met the friend whose name he would adopt in 2008. “My wife works at an organisation that is a hospice and children's home and I met this little boy there when I used to go and play my guitar for them. He really wanted to be a keyboard player, and his name was Elvis Blaauw”, he says. When he passed away in 2009, as a tribute to this amazing young man, Jan Hoogendyk adopted his name and Elvis Blue was born. After winning South African idols in 2010 Elvis Blue released an album that would change his list as a musician, simply titled Elvis Blue. Upon the album's release in November 2010, it shot up the radio and sales charts and reached Gold status within 29 days of its release. The first two singles “Things my Father said” and “Lighthouse” are massive hits and the third single “Save Me” is currently play listed on radio stations across the country. Blunt's first album, “Back to Bedlam,” catapulted him to worldwide superstardom on the strength of massive songs such as “You're Beautiful,” “High” and “Goodbye My Lover.” His second album, 2007's “All the Lost Souls,” debuted at No. 1 in 10 countries, selling nearly 5 million copies globally and featuring such hits as “1973,” ”Same Mistake” and “Carry You Home.”

BRIAN: The whole process of making this album was different. We didn't want to rush making a second album and over saturate ourselves - so we decided to take time with the songwriting and production which was really nice. Even though we had more time with writing and production though, there are a lot of last minute chops and changes in the recordings, lots of unintentional takes and things like that which made it a fun and completely creative process the entire time. Andrew and I wrote and sang our own verses this time around which is nice because you can define our individual writing and singing techniques now. There are some songs where Andrew sings more, and other where I sing more, so it's really nice for each of our personalities to come through.

ANDREW: You've got to take risks, if not, then there's no evolution! We've been through so many genres in our time that it would be a crime not to evolve the music and experiment with new sounds and techniques. We wanted more vocal range on this one, more epic production, all of that! I really think we achieved our goal on this one! BRIAN: There actually wasn't a lot of questioning, both of us wanted to take a risk and try something new - otherwise I would just let someone write and produce for me. Experimentation and risk taking is vital in the evolution of sound, even if it's taking something that already works and slightly tweaking its arrangement and style.

From getting strewn with 'monster' labelled condoms to band shirts and CD's. Knave makes a great band to see live, needless to say the fanatic followers would agree too. Considering that I didn't have the guts to see The Narrow or Pestroy do their thing, I’m guessing I’m too much of a light-weight to not be a big mosh pit fan, but then again, die hard fans have invoked fear in me with their painful stories of broken noses and collar bones. So maybe one day when I’m big and all grown up, I’ll jump into a mosh pit and break a bone or two, but not as yet...

"For death, glory and the end of the world”

Thematically stuck into out-of-subject considerations and cynical bottle stories, KRUGER drive faster and After a debut rocking and aggro-belting album louder, crashing the post-hardcore clichés in their way.

“Built for speed”, the Swiss whiskey induced metal hybrid KRUGER, had made themselves known in 2005 with a massive, heavy, second album: Cattle Truck.

KRUGER’s next slab, scheduled for march 2010 on LISTENABLE RECORDS, sounds like the coup de grace of a four-album discography that has seen the Swiss quintet emerge from the post-metal-noisewhatever-you-call-it vortex initially born from bands Mixed by Fredrik Nordstrom in a very Swedish such as Neurosis, Converge, Tool or Unsane.

(think “thick”) kind of way, “Cattle Truck” has been acclaimed by both critics and public through Europe, and allowed KRUGER to share the stage with bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Isis, Cult of Luna, Sleeppers, Gojira or Unsane, with whom they hold the comparison very decently and even to play at the mythical Montreux Jazz festival !!! Flash forward to 2007, KRUGER delivers an epic and intense follow-up : “Redemption through looseness”. Gloomy and dark, yet overwhelmingly powerful, this album drowns the band’s acknowledged influences (Breach, Entombed, Tool, Neurosis) into an intense magma of shredding metallurgic charge, drilling vocal turpitudes and desperate, naked heaviness.

On the menu, shellacking mid-paced grooves turn into epic double-kick charges, while bourbon-soaked microphone torture reply to thick riffing wreckage; well, the usual shredding KRUGER stuff – with slightly more direct songs, though (think Breach, not Red Sparowes). KRUGER’s eight upcoming swaggering anthems are raging like a hound barking at your face, waiting to go for your throat. Known to drill a pile of debris where stages once were, KRUGER have so far shared mics spits with the likes of Gojira, Unsane, Isis, The Mirimar Disaster, Cult of Luna, Ultra Vomit, from Europe largest stages (HELLFEST, Dour Festival, Brutal Assault, Montreux Jazz) to the deepest shit-holes of UK, Netherlands, Germany and France. They like it ALL. Once the new album is out, they plan to export their turpitudes live all over Europe again from April 2010 on, until death and/or senility.

Having joined forces with the French label LISTENABLE RECORDS, Sybreed released their second album "ANTARES in October 2007" this new LP was widely praised in the international metal press for it’s catchy tunes and original use of melodies, and gave Sybreed the opportunity to open for PAIN for a couple of shows, and then embark with SAMAEL for a European tour in April 2008, to finally lead them to play at the METAL CAMP Festival in Slovenia. Nevertheless, they soon felt the urge to work on a third album, which would push the limits of their music to an extreme end, and reinvent the Sybreed’s sound into something the band would describe as “Death Wave”.

Formed in 2003 in Geneva, Switzerland by guitar player Drop and singer Benjamin. Sybreed was created to reflect of their mutual tastes for extreme metal and industrial music, with conceptual contents revolving around social misery, everyday alienation and more generally, the decay of modern way of life.

Drop, Ben and Kevin planned regular session during fall 2008, sessions which gave birth, at the end of the year, to twelve tracks of both sonic aggression and ethereal atmospheres, where the organic and the electronic would be finally reconciled in a sole entity.

Meanwhile, Drop began to work on what would become the Slave Design's successor, reintroducing Black and Death metal influences in the process, and thus injecting a new dimension of brutality in their music. At the same time, it also developed further the melodic side, increasing the use of clean vocals, with still this electronic touch making Sybreed’s sound easily recognizable among others. For the occasion, they hired Soilwork's drummer Dirk Verbeuren, who kindly accepted to record Sybreed’s new album. Later, Kevin joined the band, bringing back stability in Sybreed’s line-up.

While still at school, Lindsay took voice-training lessons, and began plotting her course through the music world with aggressive determination. “I've always known I wanted to sing, but it doesn't just happen. You've got to work at your success” Her stage debut was in 1999 as part of a two-piece cover band - CRYSTAL DECEMBER.Continuing her skill-quest Lindsay started working for fellow band member Tyrone Clark as studio manager at T.C. A highlight was performing at 94.7 Highveld Stereo's Jo'burg day. "It's such a great feeling to be on stage and to see people enjoy what you're doing. It makes what I do worthwhile!” As a natural progression of her talent, Lindsay started to experiment with songwriting “...writing my own songs channeled my thinking into a whole new dimension” she says “it's not just about the singing, it's the lyrics, music and production that make the song a whole.”

With some songs in hand she approached Eric McCallaghan, the well known dance-chart topping producer. Lindsay's song “does she love you?” started a series of collaborations with Eric, leading to appearances on Erics electro-trance album in the amazing track “I don't want to see you cry”, and on Derek the Bandit's “World of

The original 2700 hectare farm was purchased in 1947 by Ulrich Koch and his partners (Theo and Walter Lauterbach). At the time, many farmers were leaving the area due to large numbers of cattle dying from Nagane – a disease spread by the Tsetse fly. Ulrich and his partners persevered and remained in the area successfully farming with cattle - they can truly be considered part of the pioneering spirit, which helped develop the Hluhluwe area. The partnership changed over the years and by 1960 Ulrich subdivided his portion of the farm, and that is now known as Somerset Farm.

Which of the tracks are your personal favorites from “Running To Midnight” (RTM) and which are some that tracks are in the running for the next single? ANDREW: I love every single track on “Running To Midnight” obviously! But there are definitely those tracks that stand out for me. BRIAN: Wow - I'm not sure. Probably surround myself with all the beautiful women I can find, go bungee jumping and try and fit as many crazy things into a day as I could. What are some of your favorite and odd tips you can share with readers to keep warm this winter? ANDREW: Fire! Make a fire, and put a bunch of cushions on the floor and lax out! It's beautiful, take it chilled; it's natural to hibernate a bit! With Chicken soup and beautiful things, you can make winter really fun! BRIAN: Scarves are always great as well as turtle necks; if the neck is warm then you are warm. Also, stay inside, make a fire and enjoy the view outside. I heard these rumors flying around that you are descendants of the infamous Charlie Chaplin – is that remotely possible? ANDREW: It is indeed. It's a relationship we're really proud of, but not something we like to use as a media ploy or something. But yes, our great grandfather and Charlie Chaplin's father were brothers. BRIAN: It's a relationship I really like having, but not something I shout from the roof tops. Charlie Chaplin was an incredible guy and did some really amazing stuff, so I'm glad to be a part in the bloodline. Any full national or international tours planned soon? ANDREW: I'm not going to confirm anything yet, as nothing's set in stone at present! However, we're very keen to do a full tour nationally and abroad reaching the end of this year / early next year! The two halves of Locnville are surely on the path to becoming South Africa's biggest artists. Our decision to strike a deal with Sony came because it was important for us to treat this as a new chapter in the band’s lifespan and to factor in all of the key elements that are essential to make any signing the right one; a passion for the music, enthusiasm for the talent, and a belief in the team to deliver.
