or visitors and new residents, a chamber is the first place to seek out information about an area. Chambers create that all-important first impression, providing newcomers with important information about transitioning to their new community. Relocating companies look to a chamber for area demographics, connections with key leaders and elected officials, and assistance with the assimilation of employees. To a community, a chamber takes on yet another role — as community champion, balancing the needs of businesses and residents. As community issues have become business issues — and vice versa — the role of the chamber has evolved beyond being the voice of business. As an advocate for its broad and now diverse membership, the chamber leverages and enhances the talents and resources of its members to create a climate of growth and success in the community. Through leadership opportunities, volunteer efforts and business-building programs, and an ongoing focus on critical business, civic and social priorities, the chamber improves the economic vitality and quality of life not only for its members, but for the entire community. The Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to serve all of Northern Palm Beach County — a region that includes 10 municipalities and the unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County surrounding these municipalities, from Mangonia Park in the south through Tequesta in the north.

HISTORY Founded in 2007 when the Jupiter Tequesta Juno Beach and the North Palm Beach County chambers of commerce merged, the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber is a dynamic organization that serves as a vital business and community resource. By focusing on the development and retention of businesses, taking an active role in issues that affect the profitability of local companies, we protect and improve the quality of life for residents and, above all, provide superior services and resources to our members.

The Chamber is a not-for-profit organization, funded by the private sector, with nearly 1,000 business members. One of our primary services is as a “knowledge broker,” connecting businesses with prospective clients through an extensive referral program that utilizes one of the most sophisticated computer software programs on the market. Business is still about relationship building, and this basic principle is the foundation for developing programs, special events and social functions at the Chamber. www.npbchamber.com.com 5
