"As a former re-entry community college student myself, I know how life changing the community college experience can be and I know that it is in turn, scary, exhilarating, challenging and rewarding. And I also know it can be done and that all of us are here to help you meet your individual goals." Sami Salvatori SCC Online Counselor

"I think Dory had it right when she sang ‘Just keep swimming, just keep swimming…’ We need to keep moving forward if we want to grow and see change in our lives." Leslie Baldwin SFCC Online Counselor

Canvas is a cloud-based service that does not require you to purchase any additional software. Although you can use Internet Explorer with Canvas, it may not always give you the best user experience. For optimal performance, you may want to consider downloading the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox. Additionally you will need to double check that your Flash player and JavaScript plug-in is up to date. Our suggestion is that you use at least Flash 15 and enable your JavaScript in your browser.

Very rarely will you encounter issues such as blocks or pages not loading correctly. However, if you do encounter a block the two images to the right may help you trouble shoot the issue. If you are still unable to remedy the issue, please contact our 24/7 Canvas Helpline at:

what is CONNECT? When students graduate from college, they often leave having developed lifelong friendships and memories‌this is CONNECT. CONNECT is designed to be a place where you can build relationships with your peers, and communicate with your Counselor, and Student Success Coach with ease. If CONNECT were a physical building, it would be comprised of a lounge, where students could converse about challenges and success, surrounded by student resource offices open to all students. Experience how fun college can be by engaging in CONNECT.

benefits When you access CONNECT you will immediately have access to your Counselor and Student Success Coach. You will also have access to your education plan and degree worksheet, which is critical when conversing with your counselor about future courses. CONNECT also provides you with direct links to vital resources such as the Multicultural Center, Veteran Affairs, Tutoring Center, and other student success offices. There is even a forum for you to interact with your peers about current events or coursework. This is a great opportunity that you do not want to miss.

competitions What is more fun than a friendly competition between friends and peers? In the Challenges module, you will find competitions such as March Madness, Weekly Photo Challenge, Daily Trivia, and other great opportunities for you to compete against your friends and peers. The winners from each challenge will receive a fun gift from Connect. If you haven’t already started to participate in a challenge, it is never too late. Start competing today!

how do I access CONNECT? If you are a CCS Online student, you can find CONNECT in your list of courses in Canvas. If you aren’t a 100% online student, you can still join the CONNECT community. Contact Karen Sandall at karen.sandall@ccs.spokane.edu or by phone at 509-533-7070 to enroll in CONNECT today.
