The partnership between the Designer Toy Awards and Kidrobot began in 2013, when together they announced the production of a toy designed by the winner of the coveted Break-through Artist award. Not just any art toy was in the offering, but the chance for these lauded newcomers to work upon Kidrobot’s premiere platform, the Dunny. This seed gestated and blossomed into a collaborative concept, leading to a sepctacular live painting event at New York Comic Con in 2014, and several custom 20" Dunny exhibitions hosted at The Clutter Gallery space in Beacon, NY. This year for the 3rd DTA Dunny show, Clutter and Kidrobot took the show to the floor of New York Comic Con, further enhancing the goal of the DTAs to widen the audience for this amazing art scene. This show catalogue acts as a historical record of the beautiful and unique pieces that were on display. We hope you enjoy flicking through the pages, as much as we did presenting the artists and artwork to you.
