WELCOME TO CONCORDIA

Concordia, home to Cloud County Community College since 1965, is an agricultural and shopping center located in Cloud County in north central Kansas. The community combines the finest qualities of small town living with the advantages found in many larger cities. Concordia offers a number of restaurants, including fast food and family dining, as well as a number of retail stores located in downtown Concordia or within walking distance of campus. A four-screen movie theatre and bowling alley offer students entertainment options.

CAMPUS SAFETY

Cloud County Community College is committed to maintaining a safe and secure campus for all students, faculty, staff and visitors who comprise our thriving and diverse community. Cloud has a security officer on duty 7 nights a week and all day Saturday and Sunday to provide a safe, secure environment. Our trained officers will provide an escort service upon request, present different programs on safety and security, and provide a sense of well-being for all students and visitors to campus.

BLACK, GOLD, & GREEN

Cloud is proud to be black, gold, and green. Recycling areas for paper, magazines, newspapers, bottles and cans are located throughout the building. Many projects aimed to reducing, reusing, and recycling are being accomplished. And maybe the most important, a scholarship has been established and is awarded each spring to a returning student who is “GREEN”! Situated on the hill south of the Concordia campus is the Cloud Power Wind Farm, where currently two turbines are located that provide the college with power. In fact, those turbines completely power the geothermal heating, ventilation, and colling system in the college’s main building on campus. In Fall 2013, “Thor Bikes” were purchased by the city of Concordia and given to the college for the students to use to get around town. The bikes provide a way for students to explore Concordia and get to businesses and restaurants located in the downtown area or a distance from campus.
