A HOME FOR T

A NEW HOME FOR FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE The Soul Center is built upon Friendship Circle’s mission of inclusion that uncovers the talents and reveals the soul of each individual. Housing everything from an art studio to a coffee-shop, our new building will give people with special needs the opportunity to be active, productive and most importantly, included members of society. Take a look at what’s in store.

THE SOUL

SOUL STUDIO & GALLERY Our Soul Studio is designed to serve as a sanctuary for budding artists with special needs. Artists will be guided by professional facilitators and have access to a number of different mediums, allowing them to explore the full spectrum of their creativity. Completed works will be exhibited in the Soul Gallery, where the public can view and purchase these special pieces of art. Each piece sold will generate commission for the artist.

AFTER-HOURS The Soul Studio is designed as a dynamic, multi-use space. After hours, it will house for other Friendship Circle programs and events. Everything from art classes to hands-on workshops and more!

FRIENDSHIP BAKERY Six-days a week, adults with special needs are given the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to operate a bakery. From prepping ingredients to packaging finished products, our students are involved in it all. Friendship Bakery was founded to address a vocational gap that occurs for many high school graduates with disabilities. Employment options are limited or constrained to community participation programs - the Friendship Bakery provides an alternative. Participants are given the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to a business in a challenging, safe, and supervised environment. They have pride and ownership over their work and the skills that they learn at the Bakery will serve them for life.

COFFEE HOUSE Our new building will be home to our most ambitious project yet: The Soul Center Coffeehouse! Expanding on our philosophy of inclusion, we wanted to create a space where we could bring all parts of our community together. And what better place to make new friends than over a warm cup of joe? Staffed primarily by individuals with special needs, and supported by Friendship Circle staff and volunteers, this will be a coffee shop like none other. Stop in for a piping hot latte or some of our Friendship Bakery's fresh-baked goods.
