A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR The Comedy of Errors is our first live performance in over a year, and is a fun, feel-good story to bring us together and rediscover the magic of theatre. Written by William Shakespeare after two years of the plague, this joyous play has got plenty of slapstick humour, witty word play and cheering family reunions – which feels exactly what we need right now. We were delighted to be invited by Scottish Opera to join the Live At No.40 festival, safely reuniting artists and audiences in a purpose built outdoor setting. While our building in the Gorbals continues to be redeveloped, it was a brilliant opportunity to stage a Citizens Theatre show this summer. Many thanks to everyone at Scottish Opera for making this production possible. I’ve really enjoyed working on The Comedy of Errors with this fantastic company, and I hope you enjoy watching the performance as much. Thank you for your support.
