STORY
T
he storyline is quite simple. Satyakant (Mithun Chakraborty) accidentally kills a young boy. His older son, Boss (Akshay Kumar), takes up blame on himself and is sentenced to jail. After serving his term, Boss relocates to a different city. Meanwhile, Satyakant’s younger son, Shiv (Shiv Pandit), roughs up the Home Minister’s son Vishal (Aakash Dabhade), who has been troubling Ankita (Aditi Rao Hydari), the sister of a cop (Ronit Roy)]. From there, all hell breaks loose.
Director Anthony D’Souza take the plot of “Pokkiri Raja” and tweaks it accordingly to suit the nerve of the masses. The plot might not be anything new, but the screenplay is watertight, giving the movie plenty of excitement. Besides, Anthony top the movie with ingredients that constitute a well-made masala fare. The soundtrack is harmonious. Dialogue are punchpacked. Cinematography is eyecatching, with several wonderful visuals.

STORY
W
hen Delhi Police comes across a case revolving around hacking, they begin their search to find a computer hacker who can help them crack this case. The head of the police team ACP Siddhanth (Manish Choudhary), stumbles across Mickey Arora (Manish Paul), a lazy but street smart hacker who can actually help them solve the case. Mickey runs a grocery store in day time and creates virus’s for anti virus companies in the night along with his Tom boy friend Chutney (Puja Gupta) who always helps him out in all odd jobs. He is also head over heals in love with a character he has created in his game called “Kung Fu Chameli” and will do anything to get out of hard work to do whatever he wants to do. Little does he know that ACP Siddhanth accompanied by Inspector Bhalla (Varun Badola) are tough nuts to crack.
Manish Paul can be considered as yet another fresh and budding talent in the B-Town. So far, Paul has been good and convincing as smart hacker. Elli Avarm gets totally ignored in the film, due to the lack of a meaty role.

ijay (Nagarjuna) is the right hand of international don David (Ashish Vidyarthi), who suffers a setback when an undercover cop starts eliminating key members of his gang. So David assigns the task of finding out the cop to his most trusted subordinate Bhai, who finds out some shocking facts about the cop. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
Nagarjuna appears in three different getups like Hong Kong don’s right-hand, Hyderabadi dada and wedding planner. The actor has given brilliant performance in all these shades. He is sure to rock you with his unique dialogue delivery, trendy costumes, stylish gun shots, walking, talking and sitting style. Richa Gangopadhyay, who appears as Nagarjuna’s love interest Radhika, has less scope for performance in the film Bhai. But she impresses you with her glamour and dance moves in song sequences. ishnu plays the confused role of Chinna, who meets his girl Chinni only to realize she needs help to release herself from the clutches of an overbearing family. Meanwhile, Chinna is also stuck with his professional responsibilities, trying to uncover a scam for his TV head boss. As he tries his best to earn himself the job of a journalist, he meets with an accident. Here Alekhya, aka Chinni, enters to rescue him.

hinna becomes Venkateswara Rao, goes in search of Alekhya. A growing romantic bubble is once again popped when Chinna realizes that Chinni loves someone else. Our hero then tries to unite the heroine with the man she fell for. As they help each other, Chinni begins to develop feelings for Chinna, by which time a twist makes them come face to face about their childhood ties. The couple will now have to find acceptance with their family.
Doosukeltha is a romantic action movie, which is high on entertainment quotient. Vishnu Manchu’s superb performance is the main attraction in the movie. Veeru Potla’s absorbing screenplay, punch dialogues and funny onliners, Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore’s comedy scenes, Mani Sharma’s songs and background score, Lavanya’s glamour, Kecha’s action, Ganesh’s dance moves and beautiful locales are other highlights of the film. TR’s entry is as good as they said it would be. Depicting a long lost character from the past, he carries a ‘gadha’ as his shoots his witty dialogues. He soon gets into stylish fights with goons that rub him the wrong way. In a while, enters Samantha, like a floating angel into NTR’s life. He woos her with all he’s got, which includes his toned good looks. Much effort later, she falls for him too.

ut, our hero has a past. He was in love with Shruti Hassan, who loved him too. Twists and turns lead to NTR using his fighting skills to the maximum. Ravi Shankar is the villain of all villains for this hero. At the end, the main protagonist has to defeat his enemies.
NTR does not want to be called ‘buddodu’. He continues with these strong punches, both from his mouth and with his hands. A true blockbuster has been eluding this talented actor and Ramayya Vasthavayya can fill that gap. The film truly works because of his stylish romance and action alike. He makes most of the jokes and throws most of the punches. Samantha is pretty as ever, lending her charm to the romantic angle. With the help of Thaman’s songs, she and NTR has managed to create a warm feeling in the viewer’s hearts. Shruti Hassan too looks wonderful, particularly in the deep and meaningful songs. jay (Shiva), a Msc gold medalist, is in Chennai to find a job that suits his qualification. London-based Anjali (Priya Anand) comes to the same city to take up in a photography competition. Narayanan (Santhanam), a house broker, who dupes people by renting out unoccupied houses to individuals without the owner’s knowledge. Ajay and Anjali become the victims of his scheme as they land with the keys of the same house.

jay and Anjali are forced to stay together as they are completely helpless. Initially, they fight and struggle to live in the house. But gradually, they turn friends. In the process, we are told thar Anjali is engaged to NRI Deepak (Rahul Ravindran). Even though he knows the truth, Ajay starts liking her.

he problems that Ajay and Anjali face and how they overcome them is told in a comical way in Vanakkam Chennai.
Shiva will be seen in a different kind of role. His regular sarcastic or brashing will not be seen in Vanakkam Chennai. Priya Anand is brilliant in Vanakkam Chennai. However, Santhanam, on a rare note, doesn’t get much marks. Anirudh Ravichander has composed good music for Vanakkam Chennai. Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi is almost successful in her debut movie. Though there are jerks, the movie has turned out to be an engaging affair.

hanush is shown as a careless guy. He has two elder unmarried brothers played by Sriman and Sathyan. He is in love with dentist Vana Roja (Nazriya Nazim), who has come to the village to stay with her grandma for some days. With the support of his gang, he does several tricks to impress her. But none of them work in their favour. ccidentally, heroine falls in love with him. Well, her rich father, has taken a promise that she would marry the boy chosen by him. Well, on the other end, she has started loving Dhanush. But the kind and lovely father fixes an alliance with Vamsi Krishna, who plays the role of a baddie in the movie.Dhanush and Nazriya elope and get married. They also reach home, but they don’t reveal that they are the man and wife. His unmarried brothers now are in the race to marry her. What happens next is the crux of the story.
A
Naiyaandi is partially engaging and there are a few well-written one-liners. No doubt, Sarkunam has got a decent story in hand. But the screenplay and scenes are badly written. Dhanush has done his usual job. He is good and has lived up to his character. Nazriya Nazim, who was in the news for wrong reasons, emerges as a winner. Her lovely face expressions and acting are the plus points of the flick.

dukki Gold is the story of five friends and an important person in their life. The film marks the return of Raveendran, who was an integral part of many successful Tamil and Malayalam films of 80s. Idukki Gold essays the life of an NRI named Michael (Prathap Pothan), who returns to his village to find his old friends and to lead a normal life away from the hustle-bustle of the city. He gives an advertisement in a newspaper to find his friends from school. Flashback shows five spirited school boys who are great friends studying in a school in the pristine hills of Cheruthoni in Idukki. Idukki Gold revolves around the problems which that advertisement creates in Michael’s life.

The entire star cast have given a wonderful performance and it would be wrong to single out any one actor. The natural beauty of Idukki is captured beautifully by the lens of Shyju Khalid. Songs are hummable, especially the title song by Bijpal. It blends beautifully with the overall plot of the movie. Other songs are average.
Idukki Gold is an average film, but is worth watching this weekend for an old generation story narrated in a novel way.

STORY
T
he movie begins with a pistol who was missed out from the hands of a boy, while trying to kill Peringodan Narayanan (Murali Gopy). Peringodan Narayanan is the landlord of his place and has committed many murders. Everybody hate him and he fears that someone will come and kills him one day. With this fear in mind, Peringodan kills everyone who stands against him.

eanwhile, the movie introduces Gauri (Archana Gupta), a girl who dreams about her to-behusband. She wants a husband who is very much modern in life. With the help of a broker, Gauri happens to meet Madhavan (Indrajith), a grocery shop owner. They start off with a no but later ends up in love. But Madhavan lands up in an issue with Peringodan Narayanan. How Madhavan saves himself from getting killed by Peringodan forms the rest of the story.
As usual we can see a very good performance from Indrajith and Murali Gopy. The rest of the cast including Sudheer Karamana, Archana Gupta and others have done fairly a good job. The movie is credited of having some very good seat clunching moments as it has assured. BGM as well as the cinematography too has done a commendable work.

There is nothing new in Ganesh’s acting. He has maintained the same body language and dialogue delivery style. A glamorous doll, Deepa Sannidhi needs to improve a lot. She has again recycled the stubborn girl role.

akkare deals with the story of a common man Vineeth (Ganesh) and a stubborn girl Neha (Deepa Sannidhi). Vineeth will be seen helping people in and around his locality while Neha is depressed because of love failure. She visits her sister’s place, which will be near to Vineeth’s place. Vineeth comes to Neha’s sister’s place to lend a cup of Sugar (Sakkare), where he irritates Neha, with his chatter box attitude, and this is how their story starts. This is the reason why the makers have given this title ‘Sakkare’ to the film. What makes Vineeth to fall in love with Neha? Will Vineeth be successful in impressing the stubborn girl? Director Abhay Simha has planned the story and screenplay very well. But somewhere Abhay lacks implementing it on screen. Certainly listeners will be happy to hear the songs, which is scored by the ‘Master of Music’, V Harikrishna.

Jata, who will be depressed with his wife’s decision, Jatta develops hatred towards women. Accidentally, Jatta meets Sukrutha Vaagle, who will be driving with the influence of alcohol. He takes a task of teaching her a lesson about Indian tradition, and will take her to his place. She is stubborn and criticises Jatta for each and everything. The story takes a different turn, when Belli comes back to Jatta. Will Jata be successful in teaching a lesson for Sukrutha or will he fall in love with her? Or will Jatta forgive Belli and be happy with her? Answers to all these should be seen on silver screen.

The Duomo di Milano, Milan’s magnificent Gothic cathedral, is one of the world’s largest churches. Its dazzling white front facade, arguably the world’s most beautiful, dominates the cathedral square. 74

The construction of the cathedral was commissioned by bishop Antonio da Saluzzo in 1385. He was supported by the first duke of Milan, Gian Galeazzo Visconti, who envisioned the creation of the world’s largest church. He gave access to his marble quarries, granted tax exemptions and invited architects from across Europe. Construction commenced in 1386, but it would drag on for centuries. When the cathedral was consecrated in 1418, construction of the nave had only just started. Construction would continue until 1813, and final finishes were applied as late as in 1965.

In 1860 the local government of Milan launched a competition for the redevelopment of a historic area between the Cathedral and the Scala Opera House. A monumental design by Bolognese architect Giuseppe Mengoni was selected. Mengoni had studied the historic shopping arcades in Paris and proposed a large scale, glass covered arcade to connect the Piazza del Duomo with the newly created Piazza della Scala.

The first stone was laid on March 7, 1865 by king Victor Emmanuel II, after whom the arcade is named. Despite lukewarm local support - even a lottery failed to raise enough money - the project went smoothly and the Galleria was officially inaugurated on September 15, 1867. Work continued for another ten years - mainly on the imposing triumphal entrance. The day before its completion in December 1877, Mengoni fell to his death from the top of the triumphal arch.

ajinikanth was born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad,to mother Jijabai and father Ramoji Rao Gaikwad, a Police constable, on 12 December 1950 in the Indian city of Bangalore in Mysore State. Being the youngest of four siblings in the family he has two brothers and a sister.
B
etween 1966 and 1973 he worked in many places in Bangalore and Madras. He performed various jobs before joining the Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) as a bus conductor.He began to take part in stage plays after Kannada playwright and director Topi Muniappa offered him a chance to act in mythological moral plays. His most notable was that of the villainous Duryodhana.In 1973, his friend and co-worker Raj Bahadur motivated him to join the Madras Film Institute and also financially supported him during this phase.His performance in a stage play got noticed by Tamil film director K. Balachander.The director advised him to learn to speak Tamil, a recommendation that Rajinikanth quickly followed.

e married Latha Parthasarathy, sister of actor Y. G. Mahendran’s wife, on February 26, 1981, at the age of 31 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and they have two daughters named Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth. Latha currently runs a school named The Ashram. His elder daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth married actor Dhanush. His second daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, works in the film industry as a director, producer and graphic designer.

ajinikanth has acted in a total 190 movies, which includes Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, English and Bengali films. Rajinikanth made a foray into Bollywood with Andha Kanoon but did not make as much of an impact. He made his Hollywood debut with the movie Bloodstone in 1988 with much fanfare in India at the time of its release. However, the movie failed in the United States.

ajinikanth’s first film was in Tamil cinema debuting as a cancer patient in Apoorva Raagangal in 1975 directed by K. Balachander, who is constantly referred to by Rajinikanth as his own guru or mentor. The following year, Rajinikanth acted in his first Kannada film, Katha Sangama, directed by Puttanna Kanagal.

uring this phase of his career when he was reaching dazzling heights, Rajinikanth abruptly chose to quit acting,but was coaxed back. He started again with Billa, which was then remaked as a blockbuster bollywood movie Don. With its phenomenal success he was accepted as a full-fledged hero. Billa was followed by a row of hits like Murattukaalai, Pokkiri Raja, Thanikattu Raja, Naan Mahaan Alla, Pudukavithai and Moondru Mugam. K. Balachander’s first home production, Netrikan proved to be yet another milestone in Rajini’s career.

he vast majority of his movies released during the nineties were extremely successful, notably Thalapathy, Mannan, Annamalai, Uzhaippali, Veera, Baasha, Muthu,, Arunachalam and Padayappa. Rajinikanth wrote his first screenplay and acted in the film Valli (1993)which failed at
box office. His cult classic Baasha, released in 1995, went on to become a massive blockbuster and is routinely touted by his fans and critics alike as the movie which elevated him from being just another very popular actor with loads of charisma to an almost demigod status in the eyes of the masses.

ajinikanth’s 150th film, Padayappa, directed by K. S. Ravikumar, undoubtedly turned out to be the largest blockbuster in his career. Finally, after more than a three year sabbatical from cinema, at 52 years of age, he starred in his home production, Baba, which released on August 15, 2002 . The film failed miserably to meet the expectations.

ust after Chandramukhi release, it was reported that AVM Productions were to produce a film directed by S. Shankar starring Rajinikanth, the largest collaboration yet for a Tamil film. The film was titled Sivaji: The Boss and released on June 15, 2007 after two years of filming and meticulous production.
F
ollowing Sivaji, Rajinikanth worked with P. Vasu again for Kuselan, a remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol, in which Rajinikanth was given only a cameo role but the movie did very poor run in box office. Rajinikanth worked again with Sivaji director Shankar for the science fiction film, Enthiran. The film was released worldwide in 2010 as the costliest Indian film ever made with a budget of Indian Rupee 162 crores (US $36 million), ultimately becoming the highestgrossing film in India of its time.

Rajinikanth also received Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in the Best Actor category for his roles in Muthu (1995), Padayappa (1999), Chandramukhi (2005), and Sivaji (2007). Rajinikanth received the Kalaimamani award in 1984 and the M. G. R. Award in 1989, both from the Government of Tamil Nadu. In 1995, the South Indian Film Artistes’ Association presented him with the Kalaichelvam Award.

Rajinikanth was also named one of the most influential persons in South Asia by Asiaweek. He was also named by Forbes India as the most influential Indian of the year 2010.
