“Sitiados” está inspirada en el sitio de Villarica, episodio histórico que tuvo lugar entre 1598 y 1601, en el que 500 españoles quedaron prisioneros en su propio pueblo, de los cuales sólo 22 sobrevivieron. La serie narra una historia de amor y ficciona la vivencia de la única derrota española en Latinoamérica, a través del reflejo de la vida de quienes quedaron abandonados en un lugar remoto, rodeados por los Mapuches, uno de los pueblos más poderosos y resistentes que enfrentó la Colonia en territorio americano. 08
