MONTHLY NEWS FOR THE STAFF OF THE CHIPPEWA FALLS AREA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. CFSD.CHIPFALLS.K12.WI.US/

A Renewed Promise, A New Perspective

With great staff, parents, and students, the new strategic plan is a renewed promise designed to propel our school district into a new age of educational excellence for the children and families of Chippewa Falls. This strategic plan represents not only an up-to-date action plan for the school district but a new perspective as well.

Fueled by our Community Conversation, our goal is to advance our re-commitment to our school district vision: Educational Excellence for a Changing Tomorrow. Our tagline, “A Renewed Promise. A New Perspective,” projects our efforts to strategically plan, which will give us a renewed sense of purpose and direction as we serve our students and families. You, our faculty and staff, make the most important contributions to the success of our promise and vision on behalf of all our students and families!

Bradford G. Saron, Ed.D.

District Administrator

Welcome Back Staff!

FOR THE CHIPPEWA FALLS AREA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRCT 2 This summer over 100 teachers attended Google Summer Camp hosted at the high school. During three days of training, teachers were able to choose sessions based on their unique content areas and technology integration skill levels. Teachers spent time practicing their skills and creating content for their classrooms during optional open labs built right into the schedule. We also worked a few groups of teachers on improving technology integration through the use of iPads and SMARTBoards in the classroom. Thanks to all those who attended and the instructors who helped out with our training offerings. While its too late for Google Summer Camp, remember to keep your eyes open for opportunities for further technology professional development to be offered during the school year. Possible topics include Google Apps for Education and extended features of Infinite Campus.

Injured While Working? No matter how insignificant an injury obtained at work might seem, you are required to report injuries within 24 hours of the incident. Use the form located on the districts website at http://cfsd.chipfalls.k12.wi.us/district/distStaffResources.cfm . There is no telling what large symptom could develop from the most minor incident. School Wellness Tip

Getting back into the school routine can be stressful, especially running home from work and wondering “What’s for Dinner?” On the weekend, create a weekly menu and prepare items ahead of time to help ease into the routine. Besides eating a healthy diet and being physical active, remember to take time for yourself to help balance the stressful transition.
