Arts & Gardens Chattanooga Choo Choo Gardens The Formal Gardens at the Chattanooga Choo Choo definitely have their own special flair. A wide variety of plant materials is used to entice visitors to the gardens for enjoyment, reflection, or a simple respite from the bustle of downtown. Be sure to pick up a property map at the front desk that includes a diagram of the gardens for a selfguided tour. Time to allow: 1 hour

Chattanooga Nature Center Relax and enjoy wildlife-friendly gardens and a spectacular view of the bluffs of historic Lookout Mountain. Walk, drive or bike along miles of trails in adjoining Reflection Riding where you’ll see wildlife at its best – in the wild! Time to allow: 1 hour

Houston Museum of Decorative Glass Housed in a Victorian home, Anna Houston’s collection of 18th, 19th, and early 20th century decorative art objects includes glass, ceramics, furniture, textiles and more. Time to allow: 50 minutes

Hunter Museum of American Art The Hunter houses one of the most complete collections of American art in the South with a collection of more than 2,000 paintings, sculptures and other works of art. An expanded reception and meeting space is available for private parties and corporate events. Time to allow: 1-2 hours

Reflection Riding Arboretum & Botanical Garden Experience this 300-acre arboretum, botanical garden and historical site dedicated to the study and conservation of native plant life. Its unique landscape, maintained in the style of an English natural garden, is filled with over a thousand different species of trees, shrubs and wildflowers. Drive, walk or bike the three-mile loop. Over fourteen miles of hiking trails wind their way up the base of Lookout Mountain. Time to allow: 1 hour
