CHALLENGE GERRIT German Gerrit Stoenner is currently interning with the Central Coast Mariners. A former employee at 3. Bundesliga outfit SC Preußen Münster, Stoenner’s knowledge of Deutsch football is strong. However as he learns more about the Hyundai A-League, we’re giving one fan a week the opportunity to tip the round against Gerrit! To add some European flavour to “Challenge Gerrit”, The Austrian Schnitzelhaus – Erina have jumped on board to sponsor The Loose Cannon feature. If our fan beats Gerrit, he or she will secure a $75 meal voucher to The Austrian Schnitzelhaus – Erina, and if he or she draws with Gerrit, a $25 voucher will be heading their way! Date of Birth: 29 April 1980 (age 33) Place of Birth: Sydney, Australia Position: Defender Nationality: Australian Previous Club: Guangzhou R&F Former Clubs: Suwon Bluewings, Shimizu S-Pulse, JEF United Chiba, Heracles Almelo, Rijeka, Dinamo Zagreb, Everton, Sturm Graz, Sydney United, Northern Spirit, Newcastle Breakers. Central Coast Mariners have bolstered their defensive stocks for the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season and 2014 AFC Champions League campaign, with well-travelled Australian stopper Eddy Bosnar inking a deal with the Club through to the end of May. Bosnar, 33, ought to be a familiar face for supporters of the Mariners, with the experienced defender having played against Central Coast twice in last year’s AFC Champions League while with K-League Classic giants Suwon Bluewings. With 2013 Mariners Medal winner Trent Sainsbury transferred to PEC Zwolle of the Dutch Eredivisie last week, Mariners boss Phil Moss moved swiftly to sign his former Northern Spirit teammate. Mossy says: “Eddy’s a winner, he’s extremely mentally strong, and he’s a great guy to boot. He’ll fit in to the Mariners culture seamlessly and add a great deal to us both on and off the field.”

Date of Birth: 14 March 1985 (age 28) Place of Birth: Seoul, South Korea Position: Attacking midfield Nationality: South Korean Previous Club: Ulsan Hyundai Former Clubs: Gamba Osaka, Jeonbuk Hyundai, Gwangju Sangmu, FC Seoul. South Korean attacker Kim Seung-yong has the Club until the completion of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 season. The talented 28-year-old has spent the last two seasons with 2012 AFC Champions League victors Ulsan Hyundai. Kim boasts considerable experience in Korea Republic’s top flight, the K-League Classic, as well as Japan’s highly regarded J.League where he plied his trade with glamour club Gamba Osaka in 2011. And, the former FC Seoul and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors man was integral to Ulsan Hyundai’s continental triumph just two years ago, netting the third goal in the Tigers’ 3-0 win over Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli in the tournament’s Final. Mossy says: “We’ve taken as much time as we’ve needed to land our man, and based on all our due diligence we believe Kim Seung-yong will have a major impact for our Club on and off the field.”

I cannot pick just one as I look up to both due to their skills and hard play. Not only are they great in their skills but also they are outgoing sports people and have time for us fans.
