“Two years ago, I was a high school senior who had no clue what to do with my life. If you would have asked me in high school if I would be standing where I am now, I would have probably laughed at you. That is why I am so thankful for CCBC. Without the wonderful classes and amazing teachers, I really do not think I would have ever made up my mind about my major. CCBC has helped me grow so much as a student as well as a person. Abigail Couper 2014 Business Administration graduate Community College of Beaver County 3

“I graduated from high school 11 years ago with vague ideas for my future. College came next only because it seemed like the best thing to do. Despite graduating high school with high honors, I lacked the direction and focus and failed out of college. Over the next 10 years, I developed the discipline required for college success through […] volunteering for Americorps, becoming an amateur boxer, and enlisting in the Army National Guard. I am currently going to [CCBC] full time with plans of transferring to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. I know I can finish school this time while learning something I enjoy within a high-demand career field.” Edward Latimore Pre-Engineering major
