President’s Message...
2012 proved to be a rewarding year for the cow/calf producer, with Char-crossed calves topping the market again! The market continues to look strong for the foreseeable future! The contributors have put together another great group of bulls for our 27th year! The VerMillionaires Charolais Group Bull Sale is the second longest running bull sale in Canada, with one of the largest number of bulls on offer. As always, we stand by our word, and will do what it takes to make sure our buyers are taken care of. We will do our best to help you find a bull that best suits what you are looking for. We look forward to seeing you on sale day! We want to get to know you and your cattle operation, and would like to invite you to come check out the bulls and join us for lunch prior to the sale.

Terms & Conditions Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at the sale unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlement must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. The auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or sales manager. Bidding: Each animal is to be sold to the highest bidder. No by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such is final. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses, such as feed, care, interest, veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, the said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement. F.O.B. ranch or location of origin or a refund of the actual price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sales manager, auctioneer, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.
Certificate of Registry: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made.
Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk, and the sellers and the sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents occurring in or about the premises. It is to be clearly understood that the sales manager is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations, or for the truth of any warranties or representation, expressed or implied. Neither does the sales manager assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties. Any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be between the buyer and the seller.
Shipping: Assistance will be given in making shipments after the sale, but no risk is assumed by the Sale Management or seller. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.
Mail or Telephone Bids: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone or mail their bids and instructions to the sales manager, auctioneer, or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
Breeder’s Guarantee, Bulls: Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.
Rights and Obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller, and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction, which is not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
Announcements: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

Lakeview Ranch Here at Lakeview Charolais, our goal is to produce a quality bull that will calve, but still give you extra pounds at weaning. We use our own bulls on our commercial (Angus cross) cows, and they have proven to do just that! Our 2 year old bulls are sired by: • LA Supremacy, a very thick, low to the ground type bull with exceptional hair on his calves. • HTA Rhapsody, a proven high performance bull. • Silverado is a very well made bull with great hair, good temperament and produces nice udders on his daughters. • Wildcard is moderate sized, easy calving, extremely quiet bull. For our 27th VerMillionaires sale we are proud to present a group of May-June born 2 year olds, no bulls are sold as yearlings. Our offering for 2013 are sired by Jackpot 13R who is still working at 8 years old and sired many high sellers in the past. Wildcard the cowboy bull. Witness, a 1/2 brother to Wildcard, sons have performance and lots of hair. Vermilion bulls are easy calvers from first calf heifers and a select group of HTA Rhapsody sons. Good Anchor Charolais Good Anchor Charolais, located 8 miles northwest of Vermilion, AB is the third generation on the Good family farm which was settled in 1926, when the original family immigrated from Ireland looking for a better life. Things have changed since then, many different kinds of livestock roamed the pastures. Purebred Black Angus took to the pastures for a time! In 1972, two Charolais bulls were purchased to breed the purebred Black Angus cows, with intent of more weight on the calves at weaning time. After seeing the offspring from this cross, Charolais became the only bulls on the farm. In 1978, purebred Charolais females were purchased for the younger set for 4-H. And on it went. Good Anchor excelled since then. In 2012, Good Anchor Charolais had 90 registered Charolais cows on whole herd enrollment. Good feet, disposition, maternal traits, hair coats, and most important, calving ease are a necessity in the operation.
