Insurance
Any bulls returning to the breeder’s farm require insurance available through Canadian Farm Insurance Corp.
Delivery
Free delivery of bulls at the purchaser’s risk within a 400 KM radius of Grande Prairie. Delivery beyond this radius will be at cost. Bulls may be kept by the consignor, free of charge until April 15. Should the purchaser wish to extend the bull’s stay beyond this date, the cost of care and feed will be $3.00/day/bull. Consignors preference would be that 2 year old and older bulls are picked up on sale day. Any questions please talk to the consignor.

Willowdale Simmentals
We have added more selection to our bull pen, so you will have more choices. The Simmental bulls are multi polled, red with easy calving traits. Most of the bulls are from our main herd sire IPU Accelerator 206U. they calve easy, will add body depth and have good dispositions. We have a few bulls from our Junior herdsire; Sunny Valley Banker, he was the high selling bull at Sunny Valley in 2012 for $17,000. He is adding thickness in the rear quarter, more body depth, reduced frame score and lots of hair to his progeny. Our AI sired bulls are lead by LFE Red Casino 3036X; adds an outcross pedigree, overall balance, and correctness in his bulls. Wheatland Red Teddy and Bravado were used on heifers as calving ease specialist. The Red Angus bulls have been increased by the addition of 4 yearlings from Strawberry Fields. Howard had to disperse his herd in the fall of 2013 after an accident. These are reputation bulls. Power bulls in HOM 1A and DRJS 38A. All of the bulls have been hand fed a low grain ration and free choice alfalfa brome hay. These bulls all come with a full herd health protocol. Welcome to the 2014 edition of the Peace Country Supreme Bull Sale. It looks like we’ve finally turned the corner with feeder prices. 8-9 weight steers are into the $1.60’s and 550 weight grass steer calves are pushing $2.00/lb since the New Year. We’d like to say thank-you and express our gratitude to all of our buyers, bidders and supporters over the past 3 years. Despite a storm rolling in prior to last year’s sale, our results were still encouraging. 9 of our 12 bulls sold to repeat customers. We’re optimistic that the quality of our bulls combined with how their developed means that they will go out, perform and last for many years. Once again this year our bulls are developed under a modest feeding program. The 2-yr olds will again come to you in their working clothes. The yearlings grazed excellent fall pasture on their mothers until November 28th with only some supplemental hay due to the snow. We’re proud of how both these stout bull calves and cows held their condition. As our yearlings will be less than a year of age on sale day we will take them home after the sale, semen test them in April and deliver them to you. If you are unable to take your 2yr-old home sale day, let us know and we will work to accommodate your needs. We have a new sire group on offer this year that we’re extremely excited about. Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or cheque – payable in Canadian funds at par immediately following the sale. The right of ownership shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made before any animals are released. Disputes: The Auctioneer shall control the bidding at all times. In case of disputes the Auctioneer’s decision shall be final. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the Purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. Announcements: Announcements from the auction stand will take precedence over any printed matter. Accidents: All precautions possible will be taken to protect the safety of the buyers. Grande Prairie Livestock Market nor any owner assumes responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accidents or loss of property. All Sales of Animals: Shall be by auction and shall be
conducted by the Auctioneers. The contributor has the privilege of making one bid which shall be presented to the auctioneer before the animal enters the sale ring. Absentee Bids: Mailed or telephone bids shall be handled in a confidential manner if you are unable to attend the sale in person. Breeding Guarantees: The seller warrants clear title to and the right to sell each animal offered for sale. All bulls offered will have passed a semen evaluation and are warranted to be sound, however, the seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign objects after the bull has been sold nor sickness that was not apparent at the time of the sale. Breeder’s Guarantee: All bulls offered will have passed a semen evaluation and warranted to be sound (by a certified veterinarian) as per breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. All heifers are guaranteed open.
Certificate of Registry: A certificate of registry duly transferred to the buyer will be furnished for each registered animal after settlement is made. Rights & Obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. Shipping: Assistance may be given in making shipment after the sale, but no risk is assumed by consignors or the seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are required to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the buyer, including duty, brokerage fees, etc.. Retained Interest: Individual consignors reserve the right to collect “Owner’s Use” semen from their bulls in this sale (at their expense and at the buyer’s convenience).
