Name: Jesus County: Baltimore City Age of Arrival: 5 Jesuscame to the United States when he was 5 years old, and is currently a junior at Patterson High School. He has seen a number of his classmates drop out of school becausethey don’t see a future for themselves in college. Jesuswants to be the first one in his family to go to college, and wants to be a social worker when he grows up. He is an honors student, is very active in his church, and belongs to many clubs in school. He is dedicated to earning his education and just wants the same chance everyone else has. However, without in-state tuition he would be unable to attend college and give back to the community where he has been raised.
