CARING OUR WAY OF LIFE Key Clubbers in Action!

LOVE TO OUR VETERANS "Division 6A has been hard at work since the new school year has started Most notably, in partnership with the local McDonald House Club, members made over 50 cards to send to veterans and children in hospitals. Also, the Charter School of Wilmington club donated supplies and volunteered at Stockings for Soldiers, delivering stockings filled with necessities to veterans and soldiers! " - LTG Mia Xie

APPRECIATING BY CLEANING "Gainesville High School has truly blown me away. They are a recent addition to Division 2E. In fact, they haven't even been chartered yet! Nonetheless, members have been busy at work and supporting the local communities. Students stayed after school for Custodians Appreciation Week and helped out by cleaning up the school. Surprisingly, everyone had a blast helping clean out!" - LTG Mehreen Rahman

DIVISION 8 EXTRAVAGANZA "The past couple of months have been busy for the Division 8 Octopuses! We had our first inperson division service project for Winchester Rescue Mission, for which we donated 1,000 items and hosted a Bingo/Ice Cream Social. On the club level, John Handley has held a food drive, helped with Pancake Day for Winchester's Kiwanis Club, and more. Millbrook has been keeping members engaged at meetings with their service projects, such as decorating

pumpkins for senior citizens for Halloween, making hand turkeys for elementary schoolers for Thanksgiving, and picking apples at a local orchard. We are looking forward to upcoming projects!" - LTG Ava Stamatakis

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS "In the spirit of the Governor's Project, Western Albermarle High School partnered up with their K-Family counterparts. Members worked with the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville for a project called "Cozy Comforts". This initiative works to provide children with backpacks filled with books, educational items, and comforting items!" - LTG Riya Bajpai

SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER "Isle of Wight Academy has been spreading holiday joy within their communities! They recently hosted a Breakfast With Santa, in which students dressed up and spent time with kids. They also bought presents for kids who could not afford them for the holidays season!" - LTG Sarah Ikomoni

"Members of the Washington-Liberty High School Key Club in Division 2A helped create peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which were later donated to Martha's Table, a local non-profit volunteer center based in Washington, D.C. With proper safety precautions (gloves, masks, sanitizer), members were able to make well over 100 sandwiches to support the low-income D.C community! Members had a great time talking, connecting, and supporting each other during the annual activity.

Attached are images of the projects, as well as the link to Martha's Table. Please visit their website for information here!"

- LTG Fardeen Bablu

THANK YOU! "Division 2E spent the last few weeks showing appreciation to their teachers. Battlefield High School, which has over 200 members, made Thankful For Teachers Turkey Cards. Patriot High School made goodie bags for their teachers. These were handed out before winter break to thank the teachers for all their hard work!" - LTG Mehreen Rahman

CARE PACKAGES

Towson High School in Division 6B had a great turnout at their Care Packaging Event where they created colorful cards with notes of encouragement and filled up bags with a variety of essentials. These were donated to two non-profit food shelters. ACTC and Agape Christian Church!

RACING AND VOLUNTEERING

Jamestown High School in Division 12B had members volunteer at both the Blue Talon Bistro Turkey Trot and the Sentara Sleighbell 5K!
