First market of season set for tomorrow
150 vendors to set up shop along 48th Ave. BY

The 14th season of the Ladner Village Market kicks off tomorrow along 48th Avenue. The popular attraction, which draws thousands into the village for each installment, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will operate on alternating Sundays until early September and will feature about 150 vendors for each date. Some local Ladner Village merchants will also take part. Tracey McKnight, one of the market co-ordinators, says shoppers can expect an increase in the number of food vendors this year. The open-air market will also feature plants, jewelry, crafts and much more. Musical acts will perform at every market, beginning with performances by a pair of longtime blues musicians, Wes Mackey
