Emergency Business Contact Database In partnership with the Calgary Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) and supported by the Government of Alberta, the Calgary Chamber has created the Emergency Business Contact Database (EBCD). During an emergency situation that could impact the operations of your business, the EBCD will provide communication and collaboration between CEMA and the business community (Calgary and southern Alberta). The premise is simple. Businesses register a primary contact person in the database. During an emergency situation, the Calgary Chamber, which became an official partner of CEMA last year, would operate within the Emergency Operations Centre. Chamber staff would then work with CEMA staff to distribute messages and communication to companies registered in the database in the terms and perspectives needed by businesses. This database currently has over 8,000 businesses registered and is a great way to promote your emergency-related services.

As the sponsor of the Emergency Business Contact Database, your organization will help provide ongoing and timely information to the Calgary business community. You will also receive: • Logo placement as a supporting sponsor on all collateral including the database sign-up webpage and dedicated e-newsletters. • Opportunity to place an editorial advertisement in the newsletter with targeted information. (Since newsletters are sent out with little notice, prepared information is requested.) • Additional opportunities may arise based on emergency (e.g., helping connect businesses to resources they need, speaking to affected businesses on panels etc.)

Digital Health Check Your Chamber is investing in more tools to make your business successful. Maximizing your digital assets can dramatically improve your business. For this reason, your Chamber is developing Digital Health Check: an online business diagnostic tool that will help provide a customized assessment and recommendations for your business’ digital presence. After completing a series of questions, you will be given a report on how your performance compares to best practices and other businesses; as well you will receive detail on improvements you can make to boost your performance.

Sponsorship opportunities include the following benefits: • Logo inclusion on downloadable reports generated following each survey • Logo inclusion throughout the Business Diversity site • Naming rights • Complimentary survey codes for your business clients • Other opportunities to be discussed

We’ve facilitated meetings, debates and gatherings with some of the brightest minds in Calgary to solve business problems and push the social and political agenda in the way necessary to make our city a better place to live and do business. Throughout the years, we’ve grown and evolved to better serve the city, but our goal has always remained the same: make our members’ businesses more successful. We are pleased to offer members a variety of networking opportunities to help business owners grow their business. Networking opportunities, like our 7:15 networking breakfast and Business After Hours events, help business owners raise their company profiles, create opportunities, share knowledge and increase their client base through business connections.

PeerSpectives

Based on the principles of peer learning, PeerSpectives™ uses a unique CEO roundtable format designed particularly for leaders of second-stage companies (i.e., companies that have moved beyond the start-up phase and are focused on steady, sustainable growth). PeerSpectives™ is delivered by a certified facilitator who ensures a balanced discussion. In a trusted and confidential environment, participants gain realtime feedback on sensitive business issues from their peers who are facing, or might have faced, a similar issue. A key element of PeerSpectives™ that sets it apart from other roundtable programs is the no-advice rule, where participants share experiences rather than give advice, which dramatically changes the dynamics of the discussion. Participants need to meet the following requirements: • A second-stage business owner, CEO, president or partner • Decision maker of a high-growth company • Have 10 to 99 employees • Yearly revenue is between $1 million and $50 million • Committed to being available for four hours once a month

As the program sponsor, your organization has the opportunity to be involved with this unique program and will receive the following on-going benefits: • Opportunity for a senior executive to welcome all attendees and partake in the roundtable • Opportunity to display additional signage and marketing collateral in the breakfast and roundtable boardroom • Logo inclusion as the program sponsor on any marketing materials including a dedicated webpage on CalgaryChamber.com
