Butler All-Americans Areal Bienemy: TWO-TIME AVCA ALL-AMERICAN

Areal Bienemy, a four-year letterwinner with the Bulldogs from 2001-04, holds the distinction of being Butler’s first volleyball All-American. Bienemy received the accolade in both 2003 and 2004. The 6-0 middle blocker was named as an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention in 2003 after tallying 3.18 kills per game and 1.04 blocks per game before repeating the honor in 2004 after averaging 3.89 kpg, 1.28 bpg and 1.23 dpg. Her 371 career blocks are the eighth-most in Butler history.

Jessica Wolfe: BU’S SECOND AVCA ALL-AMERICAN

Jessica Wolfe became BU’s second AVCA All-American during her junior season in 2009. Wolfe, a three-time All-Horizon League player, was also named all-region as a junior. She led the Horizon League with 4.01 kills and 4.62 points per set. She also ranked among the national leaders, charting 47th in the nation in kills and 45th in points. At one point early in the season, Wolfe was charted seventh in the nation in kills. Wolfe was the only Horizon League player to be named AVCA All-America.
