We’ll keep you in the loop throughout the admissions process and make sure you’re prepared for your first day as an official Brock student. Events, reminders and updates will be posted regularly at brocku.ca/discover. You’ll also receive regular emails from Discover Brock to ensure that you don’t miss any important deadlines — be sure to check often.

Activate your my.brocku.ca portal

Activate your my.brocku.ca portal as soon as possible. Refer to brocku.ca/discover for instructions. You’ll access this portal to check your admission status, monitor any required documents, apply for residence, awards and bursaries, register for your courses, and pay your fees.

Accept your offer of admission

We can’t wait to welcome you to Brock. Accept your offer of admission to Brock University at ouac.on.ca or my.brocku.ca (whichever is applicable) by the date specified in your admission letter. If you are an international student, you’ll need to submit your $1,000 tuition deposit (non-refundable) by the same date. Applicants from Ontario secondary schools must accept their offer of admission by June 1, 2022. Please note that all conditions related to your offer of admission are clearly outlined in your Offer of Admission letter. Please review these conditions carefully and retain the letter for future reference.

I nternational students: apply for your study permit

International students must apply for a study permit (visa) from an appropriate Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate. Apply early to avoid delays. Visit brocku.ca/international for more information.

Participate in a guided tour

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to visit our beautiful campus. Whether online or in-person, our student ambassadors will personally guide you through classrooms, residences, recreation spaces and other areas of interest. Claim your space in residence

Live in one of Brock’s convenient and welcoming residences. Several residence styles are available, each offering a unique sense of community. Explore and learn more about our fabulous on campus community at brocku.ca/residence Limited space may be available for those beginning studies in January 2022. Visit brocku.ca/residence for deadlines and availability. Brock is pleased to guarantee a space in residence to all new full-time undergraduate students beginning in Fall 2022, who meet our residence application conditions. Create a budget

Your education at Brock is one of the most valuable investments you’ll ever make — it requires careful planning. View expected costs at brocku.ca/safa/undergraduate-fees-estimator and begin to plan your budget. We’ll help make it possible with one of the best awards programs you’ll find. Our Brock Scholars Awards (automatic, no application required) range from $4,000 to $16,000. Our generous awards and bursaries program (via the OneApp) will also assist with your education-related costs. Learn more about financing your education at brocku.ca/safa

Apply for awards and bursaries

One application — more than $1 million available in awards and bursaries. Simply complete our OneApp to be considered for awards valued up to $20,000 and bursaries up to $3,000. Apply early to increase your eligibility. Are you an exceptional student and a leader in your school and community? Students applying to full-time studies directly from secondary school may apply for our Brock Leaders Citizenship Award as well — our most prestigious award which includes induction into the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society.

Incoming First Nations students with a minimum 80 per cent high school academic average are also eligible for the Chancellor’s First Nations Award. International students interested in becoming International Student Ambassadors may apply for our International Student Ambassador Awards. Ontario students — apply for OSAP

If you’re planning to apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), do so as soon as possible after accepting your offer to ensure that your OSAP entitlement is ready when you start school. Visit osap.gov.on.ca for details.

Apply to Law Plus or Med Plus

These co-curricular programs will give you maximum exposure to the fields of law or medicine as well as the experience you’ll need to be successful. Each program involves volunteer opportunities, a speaker series and observational visits, job shadowing, skill development workshops, mentorship and program advising. These four-year non-credit programs will run concurrently with your academic studies. Learn more at brocku.ca/ccee/career-education and submit your application by April 15, 2022.

Aboriginal students — self-identify with Brock Aboriginal Student Services

Aboriginal Student Services provides academic and cultural support specifically tailored for Aboriginal students. Our goal is to assist all Status or Non-Status self-identified Aboriginal Students (inclusive of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students) in making a positive transition to the Brock community. Our self-identified Aboriginal students have access to supports and services such as: Elder-in-Residence, guiding circles career planning, writing circles, numeracy circles, tutoring, workshops, academic referrals, one-on-one consultations, access to an exclusive computer lab, extended after hours lounge access, a resource library, and specific awards and bursaries. Aboriginal students who have not already self-identified through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre and are interested in accessing our services, may do so via their student profile at my.brocku.ca. Contact an academic adviser

Transferring from another college or university? Attending as a mature or part-time student? Book an appointment with your academic adviser as soon as possible to begin planning your academic career. Don’t wait — book early to ensure you are ready to register for your courses as soon as you are eligible. If you have transfer credits, they’ll assist in determining how the credits will fit within your degree. Visit my.brocku.ca to schedule your appointment.

Determine your fees

Up-to-date fees and information can be found anytime at brocku.ca/finance/students/undergraduate. After registering in your courses, you may view your assessment through your finance history at my.brocku.ca. This includes tuition as well as any residence or meal plan fees to be paid. And remember, our Brock Scholars Awards are based on your incoming admission average — if your average goes up, you may qualify for a higher award. Our summer orientation programs will help you to successfully transition to life at Brock.

Experience Brock and prepare for the year ahead by learning from current students and campus partners during Smart Start. The program will connect you to student supports and services, ways to be successful, campus life and the community, course registration support, and our academic environment. Experience community by getting the first-hand perspective of student leaders and mentors. In a small group with other new students, you’ll spend a night in residence, participate in skillbuilding workshops, and help out a local community partner during a service-learning volunteer opportunity.
