Welcome Welcome to the 2017 Brighton Marathon Weekend. This year Tim Hutchings (Co-Race Founder), Tom Naylor (Co-Race Founder & Event Director) and everyone on the team would like to extend a warm welcome to you and wish you an exciting weekend of running, supporting and volunteering. If you are taking part in the Brighton Marathon, BM10k or Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races, thank you - it makes all of our hard work so rewarding when we see so many nervous and excited runners at the Start, followed by the relief, joy and celebration at the Finish. Believe us, we share these emotions with you! If you are coming along to support friends and family that are taking part, we hope you have a brilliant time cheering them on to their finish. 2017 will be our biggest event yet. Not only is the field of entrants larger in number (the Brighton Marathon looks like it will break through 12,000 finishers, which is a huge leap on from 2016) but also the Beach Village at the finish will grow to become the ‘Event Village’, incorporating the Brighton Marathon Weekend Exhibition and Race Pack Collection. The Event Village will be open from the Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon, right on the beach next to the finish area and will offer shopping, the 2XU Recovery Zone, sports massage,

Welcome

live screens, the Charity Village and fantastic food & drink. This is also an exciting opportunity to take a sneak peek at the finish line! We hope you enjoy it. Welcome and thank you to our generous partners and sponsors, who make a lot of what we do possible and who help to enhance and improve the event experience for everyone involved. And last but by no means least, welcome to all those who will be part of Team Brighton. Without our army of volunteers, none of this would be possible. They are the backbone of the event, providing invaluable support for the whole of Race Week. To all of you from all of us, thank you for joining us in 2017. Have a fantastic Brighton Marathon Weekend. The GEC Team

Here we welcome you to the 2017 Brighton Marathon Weekend. Thousands of runners and supporters will arrive on Friday and Saturday, ready to kickstart their weekend together in a hive of anticipation and excitement.

Not just about running, there will be a range of things on offer in the Event Village. REUNION AREA

FOOD AND DRINK

On Race Day (Sunday 9th April) participants will be able to reunite with loved ones in the Reunion Area in the Event Village. With A-Z lettered flags, this is the best place to arrange to meet friends and family after the event. Make sure you agree a letter to meet at before the start of the race.

There will be a variety of food and drink on offer. Enjoy a range of delicious treats from the fantastic Street Diner team or a drink from one of the bars (although please drink responsibly, especially if you have just run.)

2XU RECOVERY ZONE Our partner 2XU will be hosting a special Recovery Zone in the Event Village, which will be open all weekend. After collecting their Race Pack on Friday or Saturday, runners can visit our training experts for a pep talk and a range of seminars, get a preparatory sports massage from Body Rehab Studios, chat to the RunBrighton. com Pace Team powered by 2XU, check out the course and pick up helpful information and advice. On Race Day, post-race massages will be available also and our team will still be here to offer their support.

CHARITY VILLAGE If you’re running for a charity don’t forget to check if they will have a marquee in the Charity Village. Meet your charity after all those months of training and fundraising, and take the opportunity to celebrate your achievement with them. The Charity Village will be located in the heart of the Event Village in a series of marquees. Please check the charity pages of the website for more information on which charities will be located here. Your charity will also contact you with this information ahead of Race Day.

ENTERTAINMENT SCREENS The big screens in the Event Village and on the finish straight will showcase live footage and interviews from the course, as well as presentations and entertainment – you might also see yourself if you Instagram your day with #BrightonHero.

LEAVING THE EVENT VILLAGE ON SUNDAY, RACE DAY PARK AND RIDE Park & Ride buses will exit from Madeira Drive, past the finish line at the bottom of Duke’s Mound with the first one leaving at 1.30pm. Please head to the website for more information; www.brightonmarathon. co.uk/park-and-ride

TOWARDS THE MARINA Our advice is to go by foot along Madeira Drive, heading east away from Brighton Pier.

TOWARDS BRIGHTON PIER AND THE CITY Head for the Pier and use one of the crossings on Madeira Drive, which will direct you past the Sealife Centre and across a crossing point on Marine Parade, which will take you back into the city. Alternatively, continue west along the seafront road to our bridge, which will take you north. Once on the opposite side of the road, signage will direct you to either Brighton Station or in to The Lanes

UP DUKES MOUND This is the long road that extends from the finish, sloping up to Marine Parade, high above the finish area. This can take you east away from the city centre or you can double back at the top to walk west, towards the Pier.

Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races The Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races will take place on Saturday 8th April at Preston Park. These age-related races offer fantastic inspiration to children to get outdoors and get active in a fun way. Open to seven - 17 year olds, this is a wonderful opportunity for youngsters to experience the exciting atmosphere of a mass participation race at one of the UK’s best youth running events. This year we are expecting our biggest number of entrants yet with over 3,000 children each covering a one-mile distance around the park. The Mini Mile Village in Preston Park will welcome the hundreds of families and friends who turn out to cheer the children on. Upon arrival, everyone can make use of the seating, food and drink on offer, and enjoy live footage and music from the stage and screen. Warm ups for the races will also take place here, as well as prize giving throughout the day.

We are also very pleased to welcome Gatwick Airport as a main partner in 2017. They have made it possible to offer free entries to all those taking part this year, which has directly benefitted title sponsor Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. On signing up, participants could make an optional donation to the charity instead of an entry fee through charitable donations made on sign up. (At time of going to print this had reached over ÂŁ7000.) Every day around 10 young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens is a campaign to raise money for research into cancers affecting children, teens and young adults. Entries are now closed. www.brightonminimile.co.uk #CRUKMiniMile

BM10k The BM10k will see thousands of people running 10k along the first part of the Brighton Marathon route, and will start at 8.30am just ahead of the marathon. It is now a hugely popular 10k race in the UK running calendar, offering its participants the chance to experience the buzzing atmosphere of the Brighton Marathon Weekend without the 26.2 mile distance. The race allows friends and families the opportunity to take part together in the 10k and the marathon. Groups can arrive at the start for both events, warm up and enjoy the experience for a memorable weekend of running and celebration. At the finish, 10k runners can welcome their marathon runners home. 2017 will see record numbers for the race. We also hope to see record fundraising for this event with charity places being available for the second year running. www.bm10k.com/home #bm10k

Brighton Marathon The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK’s favourite 26.2 milers. With its buzzing atmosphere, roaring crowd support and a stunning backdrop of the sea it has become the second largest UK marathon in just eight years and now attracts runners from all around the world. The Brighton Marathon was born from a mutual passion for running, founded by former international athlete Tim Hutchings and former Brighton club athlete, Tom Naylor. The first running of the race took place on 18th April 2010, growing in number of runners, spectators and volunteers with each year. One of the most unique things about the event is the amazing community support and a course that finishes up on the spectacular Brighton seafront, in front of hundreds of thousands of cheering spectators. Over 150,000 are expected to line the city streets on Race Day. Over £35millon has been raised in charity fundraising since 2010, for hundreds of different charities globally. The 2017 event will start on Sunday 9th April at 9.15am in Preston Park. Good luck to everyone running! And don’t forget, if you’re feeling inspired, 2018 entries are available at a discounted rate in the Event Village on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th April. www.brightonmarathon.co.uk #brightonmarathon

Race Starter - Chris Hughton Brighton & Hove Albion’s Manager, Chris Hughton will be sending over 12,000 Brighton Marathon runners on their way as he officially starts the race in 2017. Chris, who has successfully managed the football club through one of its most exciting runs in recent years, is delighted to have been asked to start the race: QQ How do you feel about being invited to start the 2017 Brighton Marathon? AA It’s a huge honour for me to be the Race Starter for the Brighton Marathon in 2017 and it’s a testament to what the team have done this season. The support that we’ve had through some difficult periods this last year shows how much the football team mean to the area.

#BrightonHero

QQ Have you ever been a runner yourself? AA Being in football we are surrounded by athletic people. Lots of friends I have in and out of the game have run marathons and I’d have loved to have been in the position to run a marathon when I finished my career but sadly wasn’t able to do so. In my school days my distances were the shorter distances but I vividly remember running a 400m race at the Terence McMillan Stadium and making the big mistake of being 20 yards ahead but looking over my shoulder, falling over and eventually finishing second!

34

QQ What do you think of people who run marathons? AA I have the most respect for the marathon runners who it’s been incredibly hard work for; who’ve never run a marathon before and haven’t necessarily been fit all their life. They’re the ones who’ve had to go through all the training and then have the satisfaction of running. They’re the ones I have great admiration for.

QQ If you were managing our runners instead of Brighton & Hove Albion, what would be your key piece of advice? AA Always look at the bigger picture. If you’ve participated in a marathon before, you know what’s involved. You need to show the dedication in your training or the end result is very tough.

QQ What advice would you give to our younger Mini Mile participants if they wanted to achieve a career in sport as you did?

QQ How much encouragement did you have as a boy looking towards a career in sport? AA In my era there were famous footballers you were aware of and looked up to like Bobby Charlton and George Best. I was brought up in West Ham where we all played football and there were a lot of players that were arguably better footballers than me. We were a young group of players who all wanted to succeed. My parents were brought up in an era when it was about working and supporting a family. Their biggest priorities were to make sure we were looked after and had a good education and were good people. My brother and I got our enthusiasm for sport from playing in the streets, that’s where we learnt our skills. We’ve certainly tried to pass that on to our children; to get a good education but to enjoy participating in sport.

AA It’s wonderful to have a real goal to try and achieve from a young age. You need to get out in the fresh air and participate in a sport you think you might be good at. If you’re not, it’s still about being active. It’s good for your future and your health. For someone who wants to go that step further it’s about dedication; not everyone has a natural talent and everyone who’s successful in sport has had to work very, very hard to get there.

Local Charity Partners The Brighton Marathon Weekend is proud to support over 300 charities in 2017, helping to raise much-needed funds for a diverse range of causes. Every year, two Local Charity Partners are chosen for the Brighton Marathon event, to help them raise awareness of their cause, increase their fundraising efforts and to give something back to our local community.

SUSSEX WILDLIFE TRUST Sussex Wildlife Trust is the leading local nature conservation charity, managing over thirty nature reserves near your home, school and workplace. They are a membership organisation with over 30,000 supporters who are helping to protect the rich natural heritage of East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove. They exist so that future generations can experience the joy and well-being that comes from connecting with nature in Sussex. “We are delighted to have been chosen as one of two Local Charity Partners for the Brighton Marathon this year. Our team of thirteen passionate runners will be racing against the clock on the 9th of April in support of Sussex Wildlife Trust, raising funds for nature conservation. Help us cheer them on, and meet our walking badgers along the racetrack who will be sharing wildlife stories and information about the Trust with spectators. Visit their website to find nature spots and wildlife near you: https://sussexwildlifetrust.org.uk/

ROCKINGHORSE Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity that has been supporting children in Sussex for 50 years. Best-known as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, the charity has launched its ‘Sussex Giving for Sussex Children’ 50th anniversary appeal. They aim to provide £500,000 worth of funding in 2017 to be split between 10 children’s centres and paediatric services across Sussex. Rockinghorse is very pleased to have been chosen as a Brighton Marathon local charity partner, adding to their Golden Jubilee celebrations. Ryan Heal, Chief Executive of the charity, said: “Supporters taking part for Rockinghorse will help to raise vital funds to improve the lives of sick children in Sussex, so it is really important for us to be involved in the event, and to also raise awareness of our work.” To find out more about the charity, please visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk

Running the BM10k after cancer

Running the Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races after cancer

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2016 at the age of 32, six months after getting married. All my plans of enjoying married life went out the window when I started treatment in March. I battled my way through six rounds of chemotherapy, had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, four weeks of daily radiotherapy and I am now on hormone injections every three weeks. I am delighted to be running the BM10k for Breast Cancer Care. My passion now is to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and to raise funds to support a charity that is close to my heart. They have supported me through some dark days and without them I would have been lost.

Runners

Bella (11), was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in June 2012. She had to have more than two years of intense chemotherapy including frequent hospital stays due to a series of fevers and viruses. She is a keen dancer and was determined to keep going to classes during her treatment, and she has now just been accepted as a member of a London ballet school! She is very much looking forward to taking part in this year’s Mini Mile to help raise awareness of the Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens campaign.

JOHN AND GLENDA

LUCY DAGG

All the way from South Africa

Volunteered for seven years

John (69) and Glenda (66) will be travelling from South Africa to run the Brighton Marathon this year with John’s daughter, who will also be making a long journey from Seattle. Up until 2010 the couple were living locally in Portslade and enjoyed watching the inaugural Brighton Marathon just before they retired to SA. Seven years later and they are returning to run it themselves, having only started running in 2011 and completing the Cape Town Marathon in 2013. “We watched the first Brighton Marathon in April 2010, never thinking we would ever run it!”

“This will be my 7th year of volunteering on the Brighton and Hove Women’s Running Club water station at Mile 24. Our club has managed this since the first Brighton Marathon and we are really proud of it. The atmosphere at the event is amazing and we really feel by being at Mile 24 that we can make a difference to the runners with enthusiastic words of encouragement, water… and not forgetting the jelly babies and fruit! If people are struggling we have also been known to run with them to the end. It’s very rewarding and our team are always keen to return each year.”

The women’s course record of 2:28:50 was set in 2013 by another Kenyan athlete, Eunice Kales. The Brighton Marathon course records rank Brighton as the second fastest marathon in Britain ever. The best British athlete performances came in 2011 with Dan Robinson, a 2:12 athlete at his best, finishing in 4th place in 2:19:11. Aly Dixon won the women’s race that year in 2:34:51, which was enough to get her selected for the GB Team at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu. Aly has since gone on to compete for Team GB at the Rio Olympics over 26.2miles.

This year sees the most competitive British field in our race’s history. Leading performers in the Marathon are as follows:

WOMEN’S MARATHON

MEN’S MARATHON

HELEN DAVIES

KEVIN ROJAS

Running for Ipswich Jaffa, Helen has a marathon PB of 2:34. Helen recorded her fastest half marathon performance in four years recently when winning the Great Bentley Half Marathon. After temporary retirement in 2013-14, Helen is showing some good form and will be very close to the front in April, when taking on her first marathon in five years.

His debut marathon was in Brighton in 2011, finishing in 2hrs 48:36. Kevin has gone on to record a number of great performances over the 26.2mile distance. Local to Brighton and running for Brighton and Hove City AC, Kevin has the quickest PB in the field having run 2:18.44 in Berlin in 2015. Kevin is beginning to show some good shape early in 2017 and no doubt will want to win his home town marathon.

HAYLEY MUNN Of Winchester AC ran 2:38.04 for the marathon in 2016 so goes into the race with the fastest recent performance over the 26.2 mile distance. However Hayley finished behind Helen Davies at the Great Bentley Half Marathon but has the quicker PB, so has the potential to run a lot faster than her marathon best of 2:37.44 set in 2014.

JON PEPPER Another Brighton resident running for Brighton Phoenix AC, was the first British athlete home at the Brighton Marathon in 2013, placing 8th overall in 2hrs 20:28. Jon is hoping to be the first Brighton resident to win the Brighton Marathon and has been preparing well with strong performances in a number of cross country races.

MATTHEW BENNETT From Southampton, is showing some excellent form in the build-up to April. Having run his Marathon PB of 2:23.13 in 2016, Matthew recently ran his fastest 20miler in Bramley winning in 1hr 48. Matthew goes into the Brighton Marathon as the one of the most likely to challenge the local pairing of Rojas and Pepper.

Before the Brighton Marathon gets underway, the BM10k race starts at 8.30am. In 2016 Adam Hickey got his revenge on Jonny Taylor and won in a course record time of 29:03. This performance ranked Adam as the fourth fastest British athlete in 2016 over 10k and the second fastest performance in the UK. The BM10k women’s course record was set in 2014 when Aly Dixon ran 32:35. This ranked Alyson as the 3rd fastest British athlete in 2014 – hard proof that the 10k course is one of the fastest in the UK. British internationals Steff Twell and Gemma Steel have since won the BM10k but haven’t managed to better Aly’s time. Both Men’s and Women’s races look to be as exciting and competitive as ever.

WOMEN’S 10K

MEN’S 10K

SOPHIE COWPER

MATTHEW SHARP

From Rotherham - 23rd at the Intercounties XC in Loughborough earlier this month and with a PB of 34:14 Sophie on paper is the BM10k favourite.

CAROLINE HOYTE

From Arena 80 is the fastest local athlete. With a PB of 33:27 it’ll be great to see if Caroline can improve upon her winning time of 35:53 at the recent Eastleigh 10k.

HELENA TOBIN

Running for Brighton and Hove City AC, ran 36:14 to place 8th at the recent Eastleigh 10k, just behind Caroline Hoyte. They will be renewing their rivalry on Brighton seafront.

PHOEBE LAW

Running for Kingston and Poly will be making her road 10k debut in Brighton. Recently finishing superbly in 5th place at the Inter Counties XC, she is in great form. Phoebe ran 16:45 for 5km as a junior in 2016, which indicates she could be on for sub 34 minutes in Brighton.

Runners

From the Enfield & Haringey club, has a 10k PB of 29:31 set in 2016 and can boast an excellent half marathon best of 65:03 from 2014. Matthew recently ran well on England duty in Bermuda and goes into the BM10k as the man to watch.

FINN MCNALLY

A local boy from Brighton who runs for Brighton Phoenix AC, recently ran a 5km PB in Armagh of 14:28 and has been out in Ethiopia training with fellow Brightonian Charlie Grice and four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah. Finn is the leading local runner but could be favourite to take the overall title.

JOHN MCDONNELL

Racing for Luton AC, is coming back from a 9 month layoff. John made a return to racing in September and the BM10k represents his return to road racing. With a PB of 29:29 the Andy Hobdell trained athlete could be in the frame to win.

PAUL WHITTAKER

From Southend, came 4th in the 2016 BM10k and with 29:40 from 2012, has the fastest PB in the field. With none of the top 3 from 2016 taking part Paul will be one to watch on April 9th.

Getting around on Race Day There are a number of suggested key crossing points and pedestrian walkways to get you from the Start to the Finish. You can also check the spectator crossing points on the Brighton Marathon Weekend mobile app available for download from Google Play and the iTunes store.

EXITING THE START Preston Park will be surrounded by runners until the last runner has looped the park (possibly until 10.15am). We therefore advise one of the following: 1. Depart Preston Park by 9.00am via our exit on London Road, remain on the pavement nearest to the Park and walk south following the directional signage through our central walkway, for a clear route to the seafront. 2. Watch the start from the pavement on the western side of the A23 and then head south towards the seafront following our signage and central walkway. As the marathon and 10k course snakes along several main roads before reaching the seafront, please follow the marshals’ directions/instructions on the best walkway to use to avoid being blocked. Please also be patient as there will be a lot of you trying to get through.

SEAFRONT CROSSING POINTS

OTHER CROSSING POINTS

Access along the seafront from north to south and vice versa can be made by one of our key crossing points:

A number of other crossing points can be found at the following locations:

OLD STEINE There is a crossing here where Gloucester Place meets Richmond Place.

AQUARIUM ROUNDABOUT Located opposite Brighton Pier, this crossing will get you to and from the City Centre to the Event Village / finish area.

POOL VALLEY BRIDGE Just west of Brighton Pier, we have built a bridge at Pool Valley. Spectators can use this to get to and from the City Centre and the Event Village / finish area.

Opposite Brunswick Square on Kingsway Approx. Mile 14 of the marathon Grand Avenue Approx. Mile 14.5 Kingsway, bottom of Third Avenue Approx. Mile 18.5 Tesco, Church Road, Hove Approx. Mile 14.5 Peace Statue, Hove Lawns Approx. Mile 25 Grand Avenue Approx. Mile 14 Kingsway, bottom of Grand Avenue Approx. Mile 18

REGENCY SQUARE The underpass at Regency Square by the British Airways i360 provides access to and from the seafront.

GRANDSTAND SEATING The grandstand seating is the perfect place to watch the runners cross the finish line. It’s situated directly on the finish straight and is filled on a first come, first served basis – so grab a seat, bring your bells and whistles and cheer them on to the finish! There will also be an accessible viewing area next to the seating blocks for wheelchair users and disabled spectators.

Spectator Guide

WHAT TO BRING Sadly, we can’t guarantee the weather so do make sure you come prepared for wet or windy conditions! Wear comfortable walking shoes, as you may wish to walk the distance from the start to the finish. Come light - don’t bring lots of things with you as you may experience crowds and busy periods in the city centre during the 10k and the marathon.

54

Key Spectator Points There are a number of great spectator points that also offer you the chance to take in some of the city’s key landmarks. Why not arrange to be here to cheer your runner on, so they know when to expect your support and can look forward to seeing you on their journey. NORTH LAINE (JUBILEE STREET) Brighton’s beautiful and quirky North Laine offers great shopping, bars and cafes for you to take in while your runner’s complete their 26.2 journey. Cheer them on here (mile 2 and 3 of the marathon or 2km of the 10k course) and enjoy all that’s on offer before heading to another spectating point later on.

POWER STATION, PORTSLADE The road to victory at mile 21-23 of the marathon! Marathon runners may ‘hit the wall’ here, so your efforts to get out this far and spur them on will not go unnoticed. You can really make a difference to their motivation at this point.

Spectator Guide

ROYAL PAVILION & BRIGHTON DOME Built by Prince Regent, the Pavilion is Brighton’s most famous landmark and a great spectator point. Right next door is one of the city’s best loved entertainment and theatre venues, the Brighton Dome (miles 3 and 5 of the marathon, and the 2.5km of the 10k). It’s also a short walk from the finish area.

PEACE STATUE Right by Hove Lawns and the prom, the Peace Statue is (at mile 25 of the marathon or 8km of the 10k) a great spot to cheer runners on out to Portslade and then when they come back again towards the finish straight … where they’ll really need your help!

56

BRITISH AIRWAYS i360

BANDSTAND

The British Airways i360 is a brand new landmark on the seafront and is hard to miss! Soaring above the city skyline, this is a true feat of engineering.

The bandstand is a beautifully renovated regency piece of design that featured on the 2012 finisher medal. Right on the seafront (between mile 25 and 26 of the marathon and at 8km for the 10k) this is great spot for your runners to look out for you on their run.

BRIGHTON PIER This is where the excitement reaches its peak and thousands will be lining the seafront to cheer the marathon and 10k runners on to the finish line. The pier is at Mile 26 of the marathon and 9.5km of the 10k.

ONE OF THESE WILL BE ON THE 2017 MEDAL‌

Team Brighton Our Community Partner, American ExpressÂŽ will be continuing their support of the volunteer programme in 2017, which is crucial to the successful staging of the Brighton Marathon Weekend. Every year Team Brighton shows both commitment and enthusiasm second to none. They are the best Brighton has to offer; friendly, helpful and extremely proud of the city and the event. Team Brighton is vital to the smooth running of the Brighton Marathon, BM10k, Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races and the Event Village, whether hydrating the runners, cheering them on or being there at the finish with a welldeserved medal and a pat on the back. Our volunteers are the backbone and heart of the Brighton Marathon Weekend. Every one of them is a #BrightonHero and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their support.

Join The Team To be a Brighton Marathon Weekend volunteer takes stamina, patience and a great sense of humour. It can be both challenging and extremely rewarding. It’s a chance to meet new people, have fun and be a part of one of the UK’s biggest sporting events. There are a wide variety of roles available, ranging from assisting with race pack collection, to supporting the Event Team out on the course, or even helping in the Call Centre. For further information and more detailed listings of the roles on offer, head to the Volunteer Page of the Brighton Marathon Weekend website. The deadline to sign up is 5th April 2017.

The 2017 Brighton Marathon will be the fifth year that I have volunteered and helped out on the Mile 17 Water Station. Although the day is hard work it is great fun and there’s something really humbling when a runner goes past, grabbing the cup of water you’re holding, but still finding the time to thank you profusely – they’re the ones doing the hard miles after all. Personally, I’m in awe of all the wonderful people that run. Whether it’s running for a personal challenge, or raising money for local and national charities, they are amazing and all are stars in my eyes. Volunteering and being part of Team Brighton, is a fun, fast paced, action packed day, which I really enjoy. Wendy Everett, 2015 volunteer
