FOR FLAWLESS HAIR & MAKEUP

STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF. FIRST AND FOREMOST, you are the one that will be living with these images of one of the most important days of your life. They’ll be passed down to kids and grand kids! Let who you are in that moment in time, shine through.

START A SKIN REGIMEN I’m sure you’ve seen this many times already… But with repetition, it might stick. Start a skin regimen at least 6 months prior to your big day and please don’t bounce around trying out different products right before your wedding. That’s a Huge no-no for your skin especially if you breakout easy or have sensitive skin. Skin needs time to adapt to a new routine, so give it six months... minimum. It would be ideal to seek a professional to get a proper skin assessment, and go from there. You absolutely don’t have to spend a million dollars for good products. And of course a good diet and plenty of water helps get that beautiful glow that every bride wants and deserves. And hey, what’s the harm in maintaining a good skin routine anyway! Your older self will be VERY grateful.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BROWS! They truly help shape your face. Seeing a brow specialist every three to four weeks starting about six months (that magic time frame again) before your wedding is ideal. If you need to grow them out, start as soon as possible. Be patient with them. I do find micro blading to be very helpful in certain cases. Make sure not to just go for the cheapest you find, this is your face after all. I repeat, IT’S YOUR FACE. Shop around, lots of great brow artist out there.

GET YOUR LIPS KISSABLE! If you want your lips looking luscious despite the drying effects of long wearing lipsticks, get in the habit of gentle exfoliation and moisturizing on a regular basis. I prefer to use a smudge proof or long wearing lipstick at least for the ceremony, no guy likes lipstick transfer. But lets be honest, when lips are dry that type of lipstick can look AND feel awful. Take care of your lips and that smile will be prefect!

HAIR + MAKEUP TRIALS I would say about half our brides get a hair and makeup trial. As artists, we know this is something that can help put you at ease on your big day. I always like to suggest using your trial run for a dress fitting or engagement shoot or even bridal shower! This way you’ll be able to wear it and really get a feel for how you like it. Now there are many clients that we don’t do trial runs on. AND THAT’S OK!! There’s nothing like a good old school conversation and really talk about what you’re envisioning. Having that old school conversation over the phone and really talk about what you are envisioning.

GO LONG If you have always dreamed about having long luscious locks, no need to worry, we love adding in temporary clip in hair extensions to create the long hair look you’ve always envisioned but couldn’t grow out. Not only used for length, but to create any type of fullness as well. We’ve all been here and struggled with these issues. Let the professionals help you.

THERE ARE EIGHT BASIC SILHOUETTES THAT MAKE UP ALMOST ALL WEDDING GOWNS, PLUS A FEW LESS TRADITIONAL OPTIONS THAT ARE RAPIDLY BECOMING MAINSTREAM. CHANCES ARE, AT LEAST ONE WILL BE FLATTERING ON YOUR BODY TYPE. BEING WELL VERSED IN WEDDING GOWN VOCABULARY IS VITAL. HERE ARE A FEW KEY TERMS-OF-ART TO GET YOU ON YOUR WAY.

BALL GOWN This silhouette incorporates a natural or dropped waist, set off with a full skirt. Think Cinderella, waltzing with your prince at the reception. It’s extremely flattering around the waist. The volume of this dress might overtake the petite bride but it’s a good choice for an average height bride with very romantic taste. THE A-LINE Flattering to most figures. The secret? The atmosphere is fun and energetic as well as professional. VARIETY The Bridal Spectacular bridal show offers a huge variety of specialists in the most categories. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with major vendors including reception facilities, florists, bakers, bridal shops, tuxedo shops, DJ’s, invitations, etc. You will also find a variety of specialty exhibitors such as bridal registry, salons, hairstylists and make-up artists, jewelers and much more. TRENDS AND IDEAS As you wonder through the hall you will find all the current trends, popular colors and wedding theme ideas for your wedding. In addition to decorating ideas you will see at vendor booths. FASHION SHOWS The best trends in gowns and tuxedo designs are presented in a spectacular way everyone will be talking about. These dazzling fashion events are held each day and you won't want to miss them.

DIFFERENT BRIDAL EVENTS TO ATTEND Since face to face interaction with your future wedding professionals is so important in making your selections, we highly recommend attending all quality wedding events. We also don't want you to be disappointed if your expectations are not met, so here is a reference guide to the different types of events. BRIDAL SHOWS, FAIRS, AND EXPOS These are typically larger in the scope of possible wedding events you can attend to find the wedding professionals, products and services you will need. The largest in Las Vegas is The Bridal Spectacular held twice a year in January and summer months. A quality event of this type will generally have approximately 150 or more vendors for you to meet with and will be held in a large convention center. HOTEL BOUTIQUE BRIDAL EXPO This is generally a smaller bridal show with between 50 and 70 vendors held in a banquet room of a hotel. You will still find plenty of professionals to talk to and ask those important questions to help you make wise decisions. VENUE OPEN HOUSE Many of our Las Vegas wedding venues hold open houses once or twice a year so that you can come and see their facility as it would look on your wedding day and meet with their preferred vendors. This is a great opportunity to compare venues

and the individualized services they can provide you with. Plus you get to see the building, landscaping, parking and other physical features of the venue. Typically in addition to the venue you will meet with up to 20 of their preferred vendors. RETAILER OPEN HOUSE This event is designed to introduce you to a bridal registry department of a retail store or possibly a photographers studio or a floral studio. They will often invite 20 or less preferred vendors to also be there to meet you. BRIDAL TRUNK SHOW This is all about fashion! Many of the local bridal shops will hold trunk shows at their locations and feature the latest gowns from a particular designer. So get busy, start with The Bridal Spectacular, and also plan to attend as many open house events as possible so you can shop and compare!

If you are expecting a large number of guests, receiving lines can take up to an hour to go through and this becomes very tiring on everyone. The greatest impact on your budget will be the number of guests you invite. From invitations to rentals, catering to centerpieces, the majority of your wedding expenses are affected by the total guest count. So first things first–compose your guest list (including your bridal party) and set your budget. Next, peruse the potential expenditures below and determine your priorities. The percentages that appear in the Suggested column are just guidelines. They’ll change based on your priorities. Remember, when you increase the expenditure in one category, you decrease the available budget for the remaining categories. To calculate the Suggested Budget per category, simply multiply your Total Budget by the Suggested Percentage.

Using Both Names Some women choose to use their maiden name at work and career related functions, yet legally take their husband’s surname and use it for social and family purposes.
