Attention to minor details creates perfection. The exterior shape is minimalist, but the construction engineering behind it is not. The intelligent light weight design was tempered throughout with painstaking attention to structural performance. The smooth oval shape of the hub was optimised to for balance, while attaining an unprecedented weight only 360g.Beneath the understated experior is a robust and yet sophisticated dynamo core. Variety in colors, flexibility in spoke hole configurations and outstanding performance are its advantages for personal, stylish and purpose-built bikes. It is simple, but not yet not.

Carlos Mazon from Spain, a bike enthusiast, likes riding in different countries and records his trips on his blog. Personal goal is the Trans America Bike Race in the near future, 4233 miles Non-stop. From 1st January to 28th May 2014, Carlos rode 10,480km in total. SP PV-8 has accompanied with Carlos more than half of his tour (5870km). Carlos feels almost nothing when riding SP and enjoys the Photos are from Carlos’s riding route in March 2014: Bilbao – Lendoño – Orduña – Cobarón – Frías – Tobalina Peña Angulo - Ro.

Radoslaw (Radek) Janicki Ph.D., from Poland, recently made Nairobi his home. He is a professional photographer, a bike enthusiast, a traveler and outdoors loving person. Radek is very conscious about the weight of his bike. SP dynamo hub is heavier than what he was running before. However, SP dynamo hub + dynamo light are lighter than his previous hub + lighting system (batteries). Even on pretty long trips of 100km, he simply cannot feel the drag difference with his previous hub. He is now enjoying SP SP PD-8 and LS003 in Hells Gate National Park, Kenya. mountain bike and bike-packing racer who loves exploring the wilderness by bike. Jesse finished 2nd in the Tour Divide mountain bike race in 2013. The SP PD-8 performed flawlessly through the race. Now Jesse is riding SP PD-8X. He built it up on Curve Cycling wide carbon rims (30mm wide). He is planning for a 1,200km audax ride in Perth in Oct 2014. After that, he will try to ride to Ayres Rock through the middle of Australia and the desert. Again, it will be notoriously tough on bike parts and a big challenge to Jesse. Good luck to my hero!

SP’s clean energy is the reason for outstanding performance. SP not only seeks to become No. 1 in specifications, but also intends to closely monitor the quality of every single dynamo so as to ensure every dynamo is durable and reliable. This strong commitment has been demonstrated through testing races. For instance, the Tour Divide, which is one of the most difficult races, begins in Banff, Canada, and finishes in Antelope Wells, New Mexico. It is about 2700 miles and 200,000 vertical feet. The course is a mixture of fire trails, forestry roads and dirt tracks with some parts involving bitumen as well. Under these conditions, more and more great racers at Tour Divide have put SP on their bikes; for example, Mike Hall (No. 1 position in 2013), Jesse Carlsson (No.2 position in 2013) and Jefe Branham (No.1 position in 2014). If the 9 series is set on wheel sizes of 646mm(26”) and 716mm(28”), it offers 3V output speed at 5.8km/h and 6.4km/h respectively. Furthermore, according to StVZO, it requires 5.7V output at 15km/h. If we set the 9 series on wheel sizes of 646mm(26”) and 716mm(28”), this series offers 5.7V output speed at 15.7km/h and 17.7 km/h respectively. As for 6V3W, the StVZO approved hubs in the current market normally offer 6V3W output speed around 17km/h. The SP 9 series offers 6V3W output for 646mm(26”) and 716mm(28”) speed at 16.7km/h and 18.6km/h respectively.
