questrian sports are one of the few disciplines that do not discriminate between the sexes. From jumping all the way to racing these competitive athletes have one thing in common, men and women compete against each other under the same guidelines and rules. There are no separate starting points, different heights or time allotments regulating the sexes. We’re all created equal in most of the equine sports represented. Welcome to the #ladyboss issue featuring women who more or less have the same determination in their business life as they do on horseback. Our Cover boss Nicole Walker, represents the newer generation of women who define the change in climate and defy the rules set upon them by previous generations. Here’s to girl power! compiled by EQluxe Equestrian detail is not a new thing for Burberry, and it’s London debut show for Creative Director Riccardo Tisci not only had some EQ influences but according to Tisci “It’s like a patchwork or a mix of the British lifestyle.” The Spring collection had an assortment of what we have come to expect from Burberry but in the details we have equine inspired hoof earrings and silk screened blouses of horse heads, bridle patterns and even a unicorn. I have to say, we’re huge fans of this patchwork he’s sewing together.

Tisci debut beauty message was clear: There is strength— and sexiness—in simplicity. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find hair and makeup that pairs more splendidly with the British heritage brand’s timeless trench coat. Hairstylist Guido Palau slicked the hair back into high-shine, wet-look knots tailor-made for rainy days, while makeup artist Pat McGrath saturated the lids and lips with soft washes of khaki-hued pigment and sculpted complexions with sweeps of matte bronzer and an occasional red lip.
