2018-2019 School Profile MISSION Bethlehem Academy, a Catholic School in the Sinsinawa Dominican Tradition, strives to empower its students and staff to achieve personal, spiritual and academic excellence. We challenge ourselves to love as Jesus Christ loved, to lead, to serve and to seek the truth: Veritas. OVERVIEW Bethlehem Academy, located in Faribault, Minnesota, is a co-educational, Catholic school serving students in grades 6-12. Founded in 1865, Bethlehem Academy offers a balanced educational program that demands self-discipline, fosters respect for others, encourages the search for truth, and recognizes the unique abilities of each student. Guided by its Sinsinawa Dominican tradition, the Bethlehem Academy community has established high academic standards and offers a technology-enhanced educational experience to a diverse student body of committed young men and women. The curriculum is college preparatory, with a modified modular system of class scheduling that allows flexibility and promotion of independent learning. Enrollment is open to students regardless of educational or religious background.

If class rank is required for acquiring a scholarship, it will be provided if the applicant would otherwise be ineligible. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Clubs/Activities: 15, including NHS, SAAD, band, choir, theater, and student council Boys/Girls Sports: 26, in conjunction with a cooperative sports agreement through Faribault High School SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES Bethlehem Academy has had a 1-to-1 MacBook Air laptop program since 2005. Bethlehem Academy offers PSEO and Independent Study opportunities along with our AP and CIS classes. Bethlehem Academy is the only Catholic high school in Minnesota to offer the CASE Agricultural Science Program. Field trips – to South America and to Washington, D.C. through the Close-Up Program – are offered alternate years.
