Jennifer López “La Súper Estrella del Bronx” confirmada el Sábado Santo en Altos de Chavón Casa de Campo, La Romana.- Con su encanto en el escenario y un repertorio de éxitos musicales, Casa de Campo recibirá a la espectacular Jennifer López en su emblemático anfiteatro Altos de Chavón, el Sábado Santo, 15 de abril del presente año.
El público disfrutará al máximo y con entusiasmo de la alta dosis de un deslumbrante show artístico matizado por un llamativo despliegue de luces, sonido y pantallas, que servirán de soporte a los dotes de bailarina y cantante que la artista combina de manera sincronizada sobre el escenario. La “Súper Estrella del Bronx” estrenará la nueva temporada de conciertos 2017 en el espectacular anfiteatro Altos de Chavón tras un año 2016 de constantes presentaciones de artistas de renombre, entre ellos Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Zion y Lennox, Enrique Iglesias y Gente de Zona. Andrés Pichardo, presidente de Casa de Campo, manifestó que “para nosotros es de gran júbilo recibir en nuestra casa a una de las artistas más populares internacionalmente y que reafirma nuestro marcado interés en ofrecer los mejores shows en este mágico escenario que es de todos”. “El Resort se prepara para ofrecer paquetes especiales que incluirá entradas con el fin de complementar una estancia inolvidable”, informó Pichardo. El presidente de Casa de Campo también mostró su alegría de que la renombrada artista protagonice en Altos de Chavón su primer gran concierto en el país. La súper estrella latina de la música llevará a Chavón una novedosa producción gestionada por el empresario dominicano Gamal Haché tras acuerdos con el mánager de la artista, Benny Medina, y la empresa The Medina Co. J.Lo acaba de cerrar un año sin precedentes en su carrera en el que rompió récords en Las Vegas con su show “All I Have”, que batió una marca en su sede del Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, donde continúa durante el 2017. Según los reportes de Billboard.com, la celebrity logró en agosto pasado la marca de 1 millón de entradas vendidas para su espectáculo, convirtiéndolo en el de mayores ingresos en la historia del centro de diversión. La también cotizada actriz se caracteriza por ofrecer un show de pura energía, basado en una amplia sección de música latina, combinada con sus fusiones de funk, hip hop, pop y otros sonidos que le caracterizan. Su presentación en Altos de Chavón coincidirá con la promoción de un nuevo material musical, totalmente en español, que está grabando junto al multipremiado Marc Anthony, quien actúa como productor ejecutivo. Se trata del primer disco totalmente en español de la cantante de origen puertorriqueño en una década, pues hace justo diez años que debutó con “Como ama una mujer”, co-producido por Anthony. Lechuza gana la Copa de Bronce del Polo Challenge 2017. El equipo de Lechuza mantiene el título en casa al ganarle 9 a 6 al Alegría-El Milagro. El pasado domingo 29 de enero, se llevó a cabo en Casa de Campo la final de la Copa de Bronce a 22 goles, el primer torneo del Polo Challenge 2017, donde el equipo Lechuza Caracas resultó ser el campeón, al vencer 9 a 6 al Alegría-El Milagro. En medio de una dura batalla, el equipo Lechuza, conformado por Juan Martín Nero, David Stirling, Alfredo Vargas y Victor Vargas, consiguió retener el título por segundo año consecutivo, ya que el año pasado logró ganar las cuatro copas del torneo. En tanto que, el equipo Alegría-El Milagro, integrado por Federico Tomasevich, Julian Mannix, Cubi Toccalino y Fred Mannix, tuvo un gran comienzo en los primeros tres chukkers, Alegría consiguió mantener el juego empatado hasta el descanso.

THE CHAVÓN GALLERY ROBERTO COPA’S DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLORS: A 10-DAY SHOW OF NEVER-BEFORE-EXHIBITED WORK
Everyone who knows Altos de Chavón knows that the Italian set designer and stylist Roberto Copa, who died in Rome in 2010, was the genius behind the look of the place, its inimitable romantic cobblestone alleys and picturesque buildings. Each stone, every pebble’s placement, was overseen by this intensely dedicated designer. His obsessive vision is the legacy that makes the place the Dominican landmark it is today, a living monument to his style and aesthetic. Few know it, but Copa was constantly drawing and making watercolor or gouache paintings in his spare time. He was a stylist with skill, flair, and sensitivity to the beauty of nature. The themes of his decorative works were often sea creatures, butterflies, and birds. The drawings on view in the Altos de Chavón Gallery have never before been seen by the general public. The Gallery was given this body of Copa works by a private collector, and the proceeds from the purchase of these reasonably priced, framed pieces will go to the Altos de Chavón Cultural Center Foundation and to the School of Design’s Scholarship Fund. Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire one, or a charming grouping of several, of these meticulously drawn, hand-painted studies by Chavón’s master decorator. This is a chance to own a piece of Altos de Chavón history, one that would be a welcome addition to any Casa de Campo Villa. The show will be mounted on the Gallery’s second floor, but only for a short time, from January 29 to February 8.
