RABBI’S REFLECTIONS “Hearing God’s Voice” Of the three biblical harvest festivals, Shavuot gets the least attention. Sukkot, in the fall, comes right on the heels of the High Holidays, and is incorporated into them. The sukkah and lulav are fun, beautiful rituals that we all enjoy. Pesakh, of course, cannot be ignored because of the enormous effort we put into preparing our homes for seder and removing hametz. Each of those week-long festivals appeal to the senses and remind us too of God’s creative power (on Sukkot) and redemptive power (on Pesakh). Having created this world and brought the Israelites out of slavery, the third great theme then awaits, just over the horizon: Revelation. Shavuot is the time of God’s revealing the law to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Without that third theme, creation and redemption feel wanting; it is indeed the sequence of these three ideas, played out in the calendar cycle, which emphasizes that the purpose of creation and redemption from slavery is to live righteously according to God’s will. The importance of Torah in communicating that will at Sinai, and the continued importance Jews have given Torah in daily life for thousands of years, cannot be overstated. Torah has made us who we are. We will come together to celebrate the giving of the Torah and its continued centrality in our lives at services over the two days of Shavuot (from the evening of May 14th through May 16th this year) As you will see elsewhere in the Word, there are multiple opportunities to do so, but I will remind you here as well. First, leading into Shavuot, we will celebrate the many years of Torah that Rabbi Emeritus Howard Lifshitz has given us by honoring him at 6 p.m. on May 14th, when he will sign copies of his book Chadesh Yamenu: Renew Our Days. Wine and cheese will be served, and we will then move directly into minyan at 7:30 and then our annual Tikkun Leil Shavuot, the latenight study session for the first evening of Shavuot. Rabbi Lifshitz, Cantor Weissberg and I, along with lay teachers, will discuss the theme of Revelation: Now and Then. (continued on next page)

BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES Shabbat Prayers May 3, 2013 – 7:30 pm Those who celebrate birthdays and anniversaries during the month of May will be recognized at our service on May 3rd. Our worship will begin at 7:30 pm and will conclude by 8:15 pm. Children of every age are welcome!

UPSTAIRS THOUGHTS But that’s not all! Services will continue on the first morning of Shavuot, May 15, at 9:30, and then on the second night of the festival our Confirmation students will lead services at 7:30 and share brief thoughts about where their Jewish lives are headed. Just like our ancestor Ruth, who chose to attach herself to the Jewish people, our Confirmation students display their ongoing commitment to their identities as Jews, through their studies with Cantor and me, as well as their continued involvement in Hebrew High. Second morning services will again take place at 9:30 on May 16th, and we will conclude the festival with minyan at 7:30 p.m. that evening. Let’s re-engage with Shavuot this year through as many of these services and programs as each of us can. I, for one, will be at all of them. They are terrific opportunities to celebrate, learn and socialize. Our sages teach us that we call Shavuot zman matan Torateinu, the time of the giving our Torah, as opposed to the time of receiving it, because while the Torah was giving only once at Sinai, but we have the chance every year at Shavuot, and indeed every day, to receive it. I hope this festival you will take advantage of it.

Rabbi Jeff Pivo

NOTES FROM THE CANTOR CANTOR’S COLUMN Conservative Judaism at the Kotel In recent months, our synagogue has been more focused than ever on the modern State of Israel. We’ve been stepping up our involvement with AIPAC, and we’ve held numerous Israel-related events just in April: Our USYers brought in a terrific speaker from the organization Stand with Israel; we marked Yom Ha’Atzma’ut, Israel Independence Day in the school and in services; Israel was highlighted in our recent JUF evening at the synagogue; we took part in Israel Solidarity Day at Ravinia. Now, as we enter May, we have another special program with the Jewish National Fund on Friday night, May 3, and then on the evening of Tuesday, May 6, we will celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, which marks the anniversary of Jerusalem at last unified under Israeli control in 1967, during the Six Day War. Before the 28 th of Iyar that year, Jews were unable to pray at the Kotel, the Western Wall of the ancient Temple in the Old City. But, while the Orthodox community has since been praying there, with men and women separated by a m’chitza, the nonOrthodox, men and women who wish to pray as one community, have been prevented from doing so. The brilliant Natan Sharansky, who spent 13 years in forced labor in the Soviet Union’s Gulag because of his expressed desire to emigrate to Israel, is currently the chairman of the Jewish Agency (JAFI) in Israel. He is widely respected by all Jews, both for his keen intellect and for his courage to affirm his Jewish identity when it meant harsh punishment. Prime Minister Netanyahu, recognizing the growing demand for non-Orthodox forms of worship in Israel, has asked for Mr. Sharansky’s input in this matter. The result thus far is a recently-issued proposal known as The Sharansky Kotel Initiative. The political party within Israel that represents our perspective as Conservative Jews is the Masorti Movement, which recently released a statement, together with the Rabbinical Assembly, endorsing Sharansky’s draft proposal, in the following language:

As the full details have not yet presented, it is difficult to fully embrace the proposed plan, but at this point it appears to us to be a courageous step whose intent is to create a new division of all areas of the Kotel which will enable egalitarian prayer in an area similar in size to that for non-egalitarian prayer; will supply the same support and services to all prayer groups as provided at the Kotel today (including Sifrei Torah [Torah scrolls], Aronot Kodesh [Holy Arks] and tables for reading from the Torah and Siddurim which reflect the tradition of each stream which comes to pray); will be accessible and open to for prayers all hours of the day, all days of the week, for every holiday and festival; will create a common entrance from which all individuals and groups can easily go to the part of the Kotel of choice and will not harm the archaeological value of the area. The ultimate fate of the initiative will be found in the details. Will there be a proposal which includes all of the above and is worthy of discussion and, with adjustments as needed, can lead to agreement? A proposal in which the State of Israel clearly recognizes the full right of the pluralistic streams of Judaism to pray according to their custom – and in equal conditions – in the most sacred area for the Jewish people, will likely further a compromise which will return the Kotel to its position as a site of unity of the Jewish people rather than one of conflict and dispute. The State of Israel, the state of the Jewish people, must be a place where all Jews feel at home. We hope that the compromise called for regarding the Kotel will pave the way to full equality and mutual understanding among the various streams of Judaism in Israel as suggested by the Talmud, “these and these are the words of the living God” (Eruvin, Shabbat 21B, 13). In the meantime, we are once more counting the days of the Omer, in anticipation of the Festival of Shavuot. Since Shavuot is known as Z’man Matan Torateinu – the Season of the Giving of the Torah, it is an appropriate time to recognize our many volunteers, both adults and kids, who enrich our worship by reading Torah, Haftarah and Megillah throughout the year. We take special pride in welcoming our newest members of Beth Judea’s Yad Squad: Miriam Besser, Robbie Besser, Noah Brody, Talia Brody, Aiden Ernsteen, Hannah Ernsteen, Rebecca Muise, Maya Shub, Joseph Silberman, and Madelyn Zussman. Yasher Kochachem! May you continue to find meaning and pleasure in this sacred task for years to come. See you in shul, Hazzan Roger Weisberg

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE There are many exciting new programs and changes at Congregation Beth Judea. I am pleased to announce that your board of directors approved being a host site for The BJE Community Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Education. This program is an exceptional study experience that sets the standard for high quality, text-based interactive Jewish study. Classes will begin in Fall 2013. Please watch for registration, as classes may be limited. Along with our current outstanding adult education offerings and our teen/youth education, this will make Beth Judea the center of Jewish learning in the Northwest suburbs. On March 20, 2013 we had a congregation information meeting to discuss our plans for Planned Giving. The goal of Planned Giving is to secure the financial stability of our congregation for the next fifty years. This can not be taken for granted as we see other synagogues in our community having to close its doors. Help us keep Beth Judea a strong and vibrant synagogue. More information on Planned Giving will be forthcoming.

RICK DRAZNER, PRESIDENT CONGREGATION BETH JUDEA Office: 847-255-0500 Home: 847-537 3388 Cell: 847-208-3345 E-mail: rjdraz@rjdrazner.com

MISSION STATEMENT Congregation Beth Judea is a welcoming, egalitarian synagogue whose mission is to create a warm and inviting home that serves the lifelong spiritual, educational and fellowship needs of our members. Consistent with the principles of the Conservative Movement, we embrace Torah and our responsibility to serve and support the greater Jewish community, the community at large, the United States of America and the State of Israel.

Soon you will see a new sign on Rt. 83 announcing our presence to the community. The sign will take the place of the current old brown sign. The sign will have our new logo which can be found on the front cover of The Word. This sign will be an excellent first impression of Beth Judea to the community. Our Annual Meeting will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Please join us to elect the new slate of officers and directors to the board. There will also be a change to our constitution, and the 2013-14 Budget to approve. In addition, you will hear from our vice presidents report on the many programs and activities that we accomplished this year. Please mark your calendars to attend this very important congregation meeting. We recently had many outstanding programs and activities which I hope you were able to join in. Sisterhood had two great programs featuring author, Ronald Balson discussing his book, We Are Brothers. In addition, congregant Dr. Elizabeth Ladin Gross lead a heartwarming session on Suicide Prevention. Our youth group lead Shabbat services and many of the teens spoke on their summer trips to Israel and throughout the United States. There was also a speaker during the oneg who brilliantly spoke about “Standing With Israel.” In addition, we just had a JUF event during which Dr. Steven Nasitir, JUF President was the featured speaker. There have also been many adult education offerings and many Focus on Family programs. How about having a beer and study with Men’s Club Tap the Torah. Please join in on all that we offer and realize your membership at Congregation Beth Judea to the fullest.

B’Shalom, Rick Drazner CBJ President The Annual Meeting of Congregation Beth Judea will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 8:00 pm in the synagogue sanctuary. EDUCATION The 2012-2013 school year is drawing to a close. It has been a year of many highlights — academic and programmatic, great family and school programs, art projects, singing and even performing. We are blessed with an excellent faculty of teachers who make every effort to reach each of our students on an individual level. Thank you to Yochi Eilian, Mindy Gold, Alina Groth, Natalie Gurin, Carrol Hilder, Batya Kogan, Norm Kurtz, Jodi Levit, Landen Rosenbloom, Lisa Ribot, Tammy Scheibe, Marc Sender, Shira Sender, Sarah Steiner, Michele Sussman, Peggy Weiner, Debbie Weiss and Sandra Zussman for the amazing work you do. They plan superb lessons so that our students can learn about, appreciate and thrive in their Judaism. Our students are very well prepared to face the world as knowledgeable Jews. And . . . such enthusiastic students we have. It is a pleasure to observe them in their studies and their informal gatherings. During the year, every Jewish holiday was celebrated in a way that our students could experience the joy and the meaning behind each one – apples & honey for Rosh Hashanah, visiting the Sukkah for Sukkot, games, dreidels and more for Hanukkah, sederim for Tu B’Shevat, masks and hamantaschen for Purim, songs and sederim for Passover and many more! Our Kallot provided opportunities to learn, pray and play together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. This is a good ending of a school year because we have many students who are being promoted to the high school program and many students who are confirming their Jewish identity as they leave our school to continue their studies. For the good year and the good ending of the year, the teachers join me in saying:

CALENDAR ART CONTEST Dear Beth Judea Parents and Students: SHALOM MEMORIAL PARK and FUNERAL HOME CUSTOM CALENDAR ART CONTEST Welcome to the annual Shalom Memorial Park and Funeral Home Custom Calendar Art Contest. Over the past six years that Beth Judea families have participated in this contest, numerous students have not only submitted their artwork, but have been showcased in the calendar. Shalom Memorial is celebrating their SEVENTH year of producing this unique Jewish calendar that features original artwork created by our local Jewish students. When the project began, the goal was to help preserve our rich Jewish heritage while showcasing the talents of our young people, as we believe they are our future! Shalom Memorial was thrilled with the artwork that was submitted last year and they are looking forward to receiving this year’s exciting entries.

The contest runs through June 1, 2013 and is open to ALL grade levels. Attached are the contest details and registration. The odds of “winning” in this contest are good as entries will be limited to students attending either a local Hebrew School or Day School. Quite simply: Artwork must be original. Artwork must depict some aspect of Jewish life. Deadline for submission is June 1st. I encourage each and every one of our students to participate in both contests. B’SHALOM! YOUTH Dear Beth Judea FamilyThis past month has been quite an exciting one for all of our youth at Congregation Beth Judea. We have been in the midst of another successful fundraiser (Take Stock in our Youth), had our annual spring youth Shabbat service complete with a speaker from Stand With Us, had someone come in from Or Tzedek, painted some wild artwork at Painted Penguin, participated in an interfaith youth social action day, and of course had a ton of social programming. We have been really finishing up the year and style and we are not quite finished yet. In our very near future we will be having our annual shareholder and installation dinner for all of our BJUSY stock shareholders and our USYers (along with their families. That dinner will be at 6pm on Tuesday May 21st. In addition we have our end of the year lock-in for USY and a big end of the year BBQ bash for the end of Hebrew School for Kadima and Kadinkers on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of May. Finally please mark your calendars for Sunday night June 30th through Monday morning July 1st as we will once again be hosting a USY on Wheels bus. We are going to be looking for congregants who are willing to open up their homes and house teens from all across the country for that one evening. SISTERHOOD SOURCE What an unbelievable month we had in April! Two outstanding and well attended events! On April 8th our own Elizabeth Ladin-Gross presented a special program – Suicide Prevention: A Road to Healing, Education, and Prevention. Dr. Ladin informed us of the warning signs for suicide. We also heard her personal story as well as others. We had over 100 people attending this special and timely event. We hope that this event will encourage people to talk to their loved ones who may be showing signs of suicide. Brenda Levin, our Book Club Chair, arranged for Ronald Balson, the author of Once We Were Brothers to discuss his fabulous book. When we started, no one realized that we would have 200 people from Sisterhood, the synagogue, and the community attend this event. Mr. Balson discussed what encouraged him to write the book and issues with getting it published. For those who loved this book, he hinted there would be sequel with Catherine and Liam. May 5-7 will be the Central Great Lakes Region (of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism) Conference in Deerfield and Northbrook. At the Sunday night dinner we will honor our Valued Volunteer, Elizabeth Ladin-Gross. At Monday’s dinner we will show our support to our very own Rhonda Cohn as she is discharged from her duties as Region President and to Debbi Green as she is installed as the new Region President. As Rabbi Pivo pointed out at the Men’s Club Shabbat, the 3 last Region Presidents have all been members of Beth Judea’s Sisterhood. Laurie B. Davis held the position prior to Rhonda Cohn. Invitations have been sent by email. If you have not received it, please contact Debbi or Bobbi. All sessions are free. The only costs are meals, hotel fee, and craft projects. If you are unable to attend the entire conference, feel free to attend whatever sessions you can.

“When I pray, I speak to God;

When I study, God speaks to me.” -quote by Rabbi Louis Finkelstein

Interpretive Minyan in the Library Service Leader: Norm Kurtz You are invited to join the Interpretive Minyan in the Library the first and third Shabbat of every month. Our minyan is designed to build community by providing a passionate, meaningful and spiritual Shabbat morning experience.

This Shabbat morning service focuses on examining the structure of the prayer service, learning the major prayers and becoming more comfortable with the choreography and customs of the Shabbat morning service. Our minyan is friendly and welcoming to all who choose to attend. We meet in the synagogue library on the second floor from 10:30 until 11:45.

Parsha Perspectives Thursday evenings after minyan (7:45—8:00 pm) Do you have 10 minutes to spare? It only takes 10 minutes to get started on a lifelong journey. Spend each Thursday after Minyan learning about the upcoming Par-sha with Rabbi Pivo, and before you know it you'll have completed hours of Torah study. Words of My Mouth: Talmud Study Sunday mornings at 8 am The Talmud is a profoundly rich compilation of wisdom that has continued relevance to our contemporary search for meaning. This weekly class provides an examination of current understanding of Jewish law, secular law, sociology, mythology, or agadah, and often dwells on ques-tions incorporating current events. Orin Rotman will facilitate this weekly Talmud study session. (Artscroll Schottenstein edition is used for the class) Sweet Taste of Torah Wednesday evenings at 8 pm For thousands of years Judaism has been interpreting and applying the Torah to everyday life. This class follows the Tanach cycle. Each week we will read through several chapters a week of the Nevim (Prophets) texts, then on to Ketuvim (Writings), then back to Torah again.

Shabbat Torah/Haftarah Study Shabbat morning at 9 am Weekly study to discuss the parsha of the week. We will discuss questions raised by the participants.

Hineni: the quintessential Biblical answer to God's call, "Here I am." If that's the answer, what was the question? We'll look at the ones who answered "Hineni." What were they called to do? How were they changed? How often are we called, and to what do we say "Hineni" in our own lives?

ALIYAH IN OUR 60’s FROM ARLINGTON HTS, IL TO CAESEREA, ISRAEL (Part 15) L TO R: HOWIE GOODMAN, SUZANNE GOODMAN, AND BEVERLY GOODMAN TCHERNOV NEAR EILAT, ISRAEL Howie and Suzanne Goodman were valued members at Beth Judea until they decided to make aliyah in 2009. The Goodmans have agreed to provide us with a blog on their experiences as new olim in Israel. Though we continue to miss the Goodmans, we can all look forward to reading about their adventures in Israel through the blog.

Aliyan in Our 60’s – Part 15 Being duel citizens is a great privilege. We feel we are citizens of the two greatest nations in the world, the United States of America and Israel. We just experienced President Barack Obama’s visit to Israel and it made us even more proud to be Americans. The Israeli and US flags were flying and Israel treated Obama like a rock star. His speeches reflected that he has gained a better understanding of the Middle East situation. While in the past Israelis weren’t so sure he was a friend, there is now a renewed confidence the President is our friend. The Palestinians’ reception, by the general public, was less than positive. Prior to President Obama's arrival in the West Bank, many posters of his likeness had been put on street light poles. Some were torn down and a big red "X” scrawled over his likeness. Cars then drove over the damaged posters. Some Palestinians then threw shoes at the posters. In Arab culture, this act is considered the greatest insult possible. Many Israelis, through media reporting, wondered when the same speech given to Israeli students would be given in the West Bank to Palestinians. The news covered him as he was saying goodbye and boarding Air Force One. As he walked down the red carpet, we heard him say (not in a speech), “I love this country!”. We hope this is true. We love this country and know that while it will be next to impossible to negotiate a settlement to the issues, we do need to find a way to have a peace agreement with the Palestinians. Iran openly talks about our destruction and anti-semitism is alive and well in Europe. It is refreshing to know that we have friends (maybe as they call it here, protectia!) in the United States. Resolving problems here is also for the benefit of the United States. The misguided people in the Middle East that hate Israel don’t like the US very much either. The apology by Netanyahu to Turkey, concerning the Turkish Flotilla a few years ago, was expected to result in the exchange of diplomats and the return to normalcy. Tourism by Israelis to Turkey was over 300,00 people per year. It has dropped to 84,000 last year. Normalcy has not occurred yet. Secretary of State Kerry, while in Turkey, commended Turkey for its “sensitivity” towards the apology. His state department must not have shown him press releases from Turkish officials gloating over the apology. (continued on next page)

Page 20

ALIYAH IN OUR 60’s (continued from previous page) The apology was concerning operational errors that may have led to deaths on the ship. People forget that the Israeli soldiers were beaten, thrown overboard, and some severely injured. Many forget this was supposed to be a peaceful group of passengers trying to break the Israeli and Egyptian blockade of Gaza. An Israeli-Arab Knesset member was on board the ship. Many felt she should have been removed from the Knesset. She was not.

Before the President Obama’s visit, the new Knesset was formed. It took them forty days! Maybe there is some relevancy in forty days and forty years wandering in the desert. Anyway, the new government is filled with a mixture of representatives that reflect the diversity of the nation. Previously we mentioned Dov Lipman of the Yesh Atid party. He made aliyah eight years ago and had to give up his US citizenship to join the Knesset. Another Yesh Atid MK is Pnina Tamnu-Shata. She is the first Ethiopian woman in the Knesset. When she was three years old, she came here as part of “Operation Moses” and left her family in Ethiopia. Twenty eight years later, after growing up in a boarding school, Pnina became an attorney and journalist. She is married and has two children. One child was born only four months before the election. Pnina was an ambassador for pro-Israel groups in the US. While she loves Israel, she can’t wait to fight existing racism and discrimination. At the end of her first speech in the Knesset ,she stood up and sang the “Shehecheyanu” blessing. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place! Another Ethiopian success story is our new Miss Israel ,who was also an immigrant as a young child. Hopefully, this government will be able to make progress in the country’s social issues as well as maintaining our security.

Lapid, head of Yesh Atid, is the Finance Minister. This position is usually considered a possible graveyard assignment. Lapid has no professional financial experience. He has been an actor and newscaster. Some of the media felt his experience level was not much more than President Obama's resume’ before becoming president. We continue to try and understand how a coalition government works. Our Pesach Seder was with family in Jerusalem. We only celebrate Pesach with one Seder in Israel. That might be another reason to move here. We tried to plan the trip from our home in Caesarea to our machetunim’s home in southeast Jerusalem so that we would get there by sundown or five-thirty. Everyone else in Israel seemed to also be trying to get somewhere by sundown. Driving was a horrific experience. After driving the 130 kilometers ( 80 miles) or about 2 hours in holiday traffic, we got to the hilly, winding streets of Jerusalem with all its one way streets. At one round about, which is Israel’s solution to stop signs, there was a car stopped blocking the street. Of course, this driver had to stop at a stand to buy flowers! Would that be a traffic issue? It is not unusual to have drivers, who observe a parking space on the opposite side of the street, make a quick U turn in the middle of the block. When we got to the Seder, we didn’t even want to think about driving home. Imagine these drivers with four cups of wine in them! Of course, many Israelis don't drive on the first day of Pesach. Not due to drunk driving, there were seven traffic fatalities in three or four vehicle accidents on one day during Pesach! Israel is all about flowers. One of our major exports are flowers to Europe. On Friday mornings, our neighborhood grocery store has, at its entrance, beautiful flowers. On Friday mornings, almost everyone’s grocery cart has flowers in it for Shabbat.

(continued on next page)

The Word May 2013

Page 21

ALIYAH IN OUR 60’s (continued from previous page) Our B.I.C.A., the equivalent of Sisterhood, prepares the Kiddush each Saturday. If it is a special simcha, we purchase a big bouquet of flowers on Friday. One big bouquet, which cost thirty or forty shekels (around nine dollars), will decorate the tables quite nicely. Before sundown on Shabbat and holidays, the highways have lots of flower vendors along the roads. Leading up to one of the roadside booths, there were multiple advertising signs, in Hebrew, of course. Right near the booth, there was a sign that said “Poe” ,in English. If you are wondering what that means, it is the phonetic spelling of the Hebrew word for “here”. Funny, wouldn’t it be simpler to just write “here” in English? Anyway, learning the language is a lifetime goal just as is the understanding of the culture. Friday mornings are a busy time at the shuk and shopping malls (“kanyon” in Ivrit. There are groups of men that seem to gather every Friday morning at the mall we frequent. It appears it is a time to discuss their week. It is not unusual to see two men greet each other with a handshake and a kiss on each face cheek. There are vendors that set up tables on Friday mornings and sell already prepared foods, olive oil, desserts, and Challah. We hope you are planning an Israeli visit in the near future. Or if you know a group that is planning a tour, we have a suggestion. Our synagogue in Netanya, a beautiful seaside city north of Tel Aviv, can help you and has an invitation. If you can plan your trip to spend Friday and Saturday in Netanya, we will help provide you with an enjoyable Shabbat. We will assist you in finding a hotel. You can attend our beautiful synagogue for the Kabbalat Shabbat service followed by a Shabbat dinner at the synagogue. After Saturday morning services, join us at our Kiddush. After joining us for Shabbat activities at the shul, you could enjoy this special city with its excellent city center and beach. Our shul is the only Conservative synagogue in Netanya. We are egalitarian. By the time this is published June 1, we will have experienced Yom Ha’Shoah, Yom Ha’Zikharon, and Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel’s 65th Independence Anniversary).

Shalom and our love to Beth Judea! Howie and Suzanne Goodman

WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW . . . . YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE If you are celebrating a life cycle event such as a birth, engagement or wedding, we would like to know about it so that this milestone can be included in The Word. If you are ill or know someone who is sick, we would like to know about it so that a prayer for recovery can be said, so that the clergy can call or visit, and so that the Bikur Cholim committee can be notified and be of assistance. If there is a death in your family, we would like to know about it so that we can offer our support, can share this information with our congregation, and so that we can add your loved one to our Yahrzeit records.

We firmly believe that reaching out to others benefits not only the recipient, but the person providing help as well. This is, without a doubt, a win-win situation for all involved. If you are interested in making a difference, please contact one of the committee members below.
