ANNOUNCING NEWLY NAMED PROFESSORS YONGQIANG CHU, PH.D. Childress Klein Distinguished Professor of Real Estate and Urban Economics

Dr. Yongqiang Chu’s research has appeared in many top finance, real estate and economics journals, including Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Economic Dynamics and Real Estate Economics. Dr. Chu obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining UNC Charlotte, he was a faculty member at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.

The Belk College faculty are the top researchers and thought leaders of North Carolina’s urban research business school. The college has hired more than 40 faculty members in the past five years from strong institutions around the world. The college has more than 100 full-time faculty, including 12 endowed chairs and named professors.

DONGSONG ZHANG, PH.D. Belk Endowed Chair in Business Analytics

Dr. Dongsong Zhang has published approximately 150 research articles in journals and conference proceedings, and has received research grants and awards from agencies and grantors including the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institutes of Health (NIH). He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona in 2002. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, he was a full professor in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
