DAY 1.- ONGI ETORRI! WELCOME! ZUMAIA Reception with a welcoming Aurresku. Transfer to Zumaia, hotel accommodation and free time to relax. The village of Zumaia has a "special colour", full of magic and history from which we will begin to discover the most important sites where the movie was filmed. Guided tour of the seaside town of Zumaia. Starting with San Pedro Church, we will walk through the little streets in order to discover its historic building that reflect the historical past of the village. After, visit to the Geopark of this coastal area, the great geological heritage which will let us know the planet's evolution in last 110 million years. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.


DAY 2.- GETARIA - ZARAUTZ Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to Getaria, worldwide well-known coastal town for being the birthplace of Juan Sebastian Elcano, the first man who rounded the world. It is a common tourist destination in the Basque Country, famous for its restaurants serving grilled fish and white wine with Designation of Origin which is grown on our land: the "Txakoli". “Antxoas” and “Tuna” manuacturers are also common places to visit as they still prepare them in a traditional style. Tours of Getaria and transfer to "txakolindegi" to enjoy one of our greatest treasures, the “Txakoli”. To continue with the tour, something unimaginable awaits us. We will visit a special place where nature merges with gastronomy, “Euskal Txerria” experience.


Subijana family opens the doors of its farm to experience a day with the typical Basque pig. In addition to a guided tour of the farm, we will have lunch with the family and meet artisan produced Subijana products. Different and amazing for family atmosphere and nature... Transfer to Zarautz, a beautiful villa with great artistic and architectural attractions as well as an exceptional natural environment. The beach and its spectacular waves claim to serve thousands of surfers. Time for a coffee where the famous chef Carlos Argui単ano has its restaurant and hotel. Free time to discover the town. Dinner at a local restaurant and transfer to Zumaia for accommodation.


DAY 3.- LEITZA Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, departure to Leitza, beautiful town located in Navarra and together with Zumaia, Leitza is the most interesting point in the movie. Here we could find the house of Amaia: the centennial house, called Aspain-Txiki, reflecting our culture with its wooden door. Furthermore, once in Leitza, there are many places that cannot be missed; the small streets, bar and the Old Town of Leitza, the Church of San Miguel, The Museum and the big stone sculptur outside that recreates the “stone lifting”, a historical Basque sport, by the "harrijasotzaile" Iñaki Perurena. In this place were also born Abel Barriola and Oñatz Bengoetxea “pelotaris”. Lunch at Leitza.


In the afternoon, we will cross a piece of important history in the Valley Leizaran, where Plazaola train joined Donostia and Pamplona for four as well as providing freight services. An important part of it is being recovered as the Plazaola Green Way. The greenway runs between meadows and forests, both native (oak, beech, alder riparian ...) and reforestation (pine). It crosses the Valleys of Larraun and Leintzaran River (declared Natural Biotope). Before this recovery the tour Leizaran was already used by cars, trucks, bikes and pedestrians / hikers. Basque is our natural language and until not many years ago the only language of most inhabitants of these valleys.


In these populations, predominantly agricultural, we will have the chance to know and live the Basque culture, enjoy a family holiday full-filled with traditions and authenticity with rural sports, the "ingurutxo", and many other customs and curiosities about our traditional way of life. We will listen to endless legends, in which Aralar is the mythical place par excellence and its characters, dragons, lamias, witches and gentiles. This reminds us that we are in a privileged location with excellent cuisine, a reflection of its nature and which invites the visitor to experiment with recipes and tastes. Dinner at a typical cider-house and enjoy a “cider house menu�. Do not miss the opportunity become familiar with the world of cider and enjoy the fruit that the apple give. We will experience a guided tour that will show us the history and the elaboration process of the cider. Finally, we will have a cider house menu that consists on: cod omelette, cod with peppers, chop, nuts and quince, and cider Txotx!


DAY 4.- DONOSTIA – SAN SEBASTIÁN Breakfast at the hotel. At the appointed time, pick-up at the hotel and transfer to Donostia-San Sebastián, even if the film is not recorded in the city is “definitely more than a film scene”. Arrival in Donostia – San Sebastian, also known as the Pearl of the Cantabrian Sea, it is one of the cities that best combines food, culture and beauty, joining them all with unique natural surroundings plus making the traveller feel as part of the city.

DAY 5.- DISCOVER THE IGNATIAN LAND “The Route of the Three Temples” Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will have the opportunity to discover the Ignatian lands of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, and a lot of “artzaiak” (shepherds) immigrated to American lands. At the appointed time, we will meet in Azpeitia and move to Loyola Sanctuary. We will have the chance to discover the Basilica, the Holly House and the Chapel of the Conversion. This place has great historical value as here, also happened the revolutionary change in the life of the founder of the Jesuist religious order. Guided tour in Azpeitia, a we will stop at the most relevant buildings as thetown hall (ancient Dominican convent), the mudejar style Antxieta Palace, Emparan or Basazabal Palace, and last but not least, the medieval parish church of San Sebastián de Soreasu where we can find the baptismal font where Saint Ignatius of Loiola was christened and la Magdalena Hospital. Then you will visit the Basque Railway Museum where you can find the best railway collections in Europe.


Lunch included in Azpeitia. Few kilometres from this place, in a natural landscape of Zumarraga, we find the Romanesque shrines of La Antigua, offering us views over the industrial landscape of Urretxu and Zumarraga. It is believed that the church was built on an ancient strong defense of the 12th century, first signs date back to 1366. Last stop on the Route of the Three Temples is Arantzazu Sanctuary, located in O単ati. Considered as greatest natural, historical and artistic value of the province. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
