Welcome

to this year’s Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Community Guide. As the new chamber president, my 2014-2015 goal is to put the Commerce back into the Chamber of Commerce. To accomplish this we are constantly improving on all aspects of communication and media. We are committed to becoming the Chamber of the Future. This guide represents an incredibly successful and useful tool in that goal. Why? Simplicity is the answer. Sometimes nothing is faster than the printed word for reference. No booting up, no accessing files, no typing. That being said, we are also improving our electronic face and our social media exposure, but I digress! The community guide still shows an alphabetical and categorical listings of businesses and organizations with their contact information, along with an expansive guide to dining, shopping, village services, government administration, library, and schools. In addition, this guide shows useful websites and listings of personnel. We have listened to our membership and will continue to develop business opportunities and community events for everyone, within and beyond our two villages. We are proud of our ongoing community events like the Northfield Farmers’ Market, the Recognition Lunch and Sidewalk Sale along with numerous chamber outings and events throughout the year. Our chamber of commerce represents over 300 members dedicated to the mission of promoting economic growth, development, and involvement in the local business and civic communities of Winnetka and Northfield. For more information about the chamber, look us up online at: winnetkanorthfieldchamber.com. Without our community’s support, our organization could not thrive. On behalf of the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce, I would like to extend a very sincere and heartfelt thank you, as we are not only thriving but growing – thanks to both communities’ support! Sincerely, Steven Hirsch President, Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce
