A LETTER FROM THE DEAN “Grant a Wish” 2015 Supports Financial Aid The School for Children and Family Center’s student and parent body includes a broad spectrum of social, economic, cultural, and ethnic groups. We believe that socioeconomic diversity enriches the educational opportunity for all families, and participation of a wide range of families is critical to the health of the school. Because we regard socioeconomic diversity as a core educational value, the School for Children and Family Center dedicate a significant portion of our annual operating budget to support our need-based Financial Aid budget. Financial Aid awards are based on the demonstrated financial need of a family. Because we are determined to make our program accessible to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds, last year, the School for Children awarded approximately $2.9 million in need-based financial aid to families with a demonstrated need; approximately 30% of our families are receiving awards. Now more than ever, the demand for Financial Aid is high. Over half of all admissions applications for the Fall of 2015 also applied for Financial Aid. We continue to support current families in the school whose circumstances have changed over time, and the collective need continues to exceed our budget. Please consider supporting Grant-a-Wish 2015 and thank you for your generosity. See you at the Auction! Alexis
