well thought out and there were so many personal touches, I'm just beside myself,” mother-to-be Skog said. “I’ll admit, when I went on the site tour for Casa Real, I almost croaked,” Bishop recalled. “I felt a lot of pressure because I really wanted to make sure that it felt comfortable and intimate. My focus is always to make the shower something the Mom to be will enjoy and not a “baby” theme. This is really the last time it’s all about Mom.” For her best friend, Bishop came up with a vintage picnic theme for the day. Picnics by definition take place outdoors. Bishop used Manzanita branches and beautiful succulents to

add height to the room and create an Earthy, outdoor feeling. Florist Nicole Ha also used rocks around some of the branch bases that added another natural element. “I just loved seeing little bud vases tucked in a cubbies and unexpected places all throughout the shower.” Bishop placed fans with rag tassels at each place setting, giving guests the feel they could fan themselves as if they were outdoors on a hot summer day.
